    Italian sub - my favorite
    Jenita M.

5 Stars on my Italian Sub. Creamy, juicy, and savory. It made my day. It was worth finding on our gps although we had a time finding it. The guy manager was helpful and friendly. I like that this place has over 20 hot sauces to try.

New York steamer (I think )
    Brie B.

I was craving a hot sub and decided to swing by firehouse subs ! It's located next to the pei Wei in brier creek. I decided upon the New York steamer? Fully involved with no lettuce or tomato. It was beef, pastrami, melted cheese, and Italian dressing. Pros: My sandwich was amazing. Just what I wanted. They made my order quickly. The staff was nice. Cons: the location was sort of gross. They had no caps for the drinks and there was garbage everywhere. I enjoyed my food and I will probably eat again but at the Cary location.

#8 engineer sub: smoked turkey breast, sautéed mushrooms and Swiss cheese.

good place for a quick lunch. their subs are decent and portions are good (a med size sub is plenty). I do like that they serve hot subs in addition to cold ones. The restaurant is clean, but a bit cramped with all the tables inside. Also, they heavily market the fact that they have a coca-cola freestyle machine, but I prefer the old school fountain drinks. They never taste like they're supposed to out of the freestyle machine in my opinion (the syrup to bubble ratio is always off).

Smokehouse beef & cheddar brisket, best sub on the menu :)

A friend told us we absolutely had to check this place out, I'm so glad we did. My husband and I visited one evening and ordered a few different items to try. You then take your tray to the register to check out and they will heat up anything you like and box up anything you like. We enjoyed everything we ate and we are looking forward to going back. Once they are sold out for the day it is gone and to try again tomorrow. There is a bit of a wait for drinks if not ordered online but is expected. They have 1 person for people ordering in and separate person for those that ordered online. I ordered online and my husband shopped inside either option is great and gets what you want. People were very busy but with stuff moving so fast I understand they are very nice. Food: we got so many different things we would be here all day listing. But to sum it up. We go the pink velvet king doughnut and pink velvet supreme croissant my opinion they are both amazing but I like the doughnut better lighter and more cream filling. Blueberry and cream cheese croissant amazing!! Mini croissant (better warmed) but nice crunch and flaky. Strawberry croissant: this in the spring would be the best thing on the board. Pink velvet matcha (iced drink): not my cup of tea but my husband loved it and said well worth it! Over all loved it all 10 out of 10!

"Good chicken option in Brier Creek"…read more Came here on a Sunday just after noon. The place was really quiet, and a bit dark-- the outside sign said they opened at 1pm, but they were clearly open at just after 12:00pm. One orders at the counter, and they bring you the food. I ordered the "tender bowl" with the mildest sauce and with salad as the base rather than rice. My dining partner had a chicken wrap and fries. I was a little sad that, when I asked if I could have "half-rice and half salad", the cashier said no... didn't seem like an unreasonable ask, but whatever. Food came out in maybe 10 minutes. The bowl was a lot of food-- I was glad I didn't have a fully rice one, or else I wouldn't have been able to finish it. The food came with a small sauce, but it had dairy, so I asked for an alternative, and they provided one with mayo & hot-sauce that was quite tasty. Quality was good. The tenders tasted fresh, and the batter wasn't overwhelming as is often the case. The arugula was good. The salad base was fine. And again, a lot of food. The chicken wrap my dining partner has was also quite good, and the fries came with a very spicy seasoning that tasted yummy. Establishment was clean-- I used the restroom too and it was fine. Price was quite fair for the quantity and quality of food we got. Overall, a good option for chicken, and a not-overwhelming lunch at a decent price, in the Brier Creek area.

The restaurant was very clean and nice; as well as the staff they were super nice & helpful. I definitely will be back to try everything else on the menu! My sister, brother, and I dined at V Pizza + Flask in Brier Creek and had a great experience!…read more The Brier Creek location is basically in a strip mall and no frills, but don't let that fool you. The food, drinks, and service was all great! There is a fun bar area (opens at 3pm) and in addition, a mid-sized dining area. We went between lunch and dinner, so it was pretty slow which was nice & relaxing. We started with waters and opted for a glass of red wine. Their wine list is decent, and cocktails begin at 3pm. We ordered a few menu items: Buffalo Wings, Caprese Plate with Proscuitto, Side Salad, Piccante Pizza, Pepporoni Pizza, and the Butter & Cheese Noodles (we love a good pasta with Pecorino Romano). The Wings were crispy and delicious, spicy but not too spicy. The Caprese Plate was also great, super fresh and flavorful all around. The salad was fresh and enough to share. Both of the pizzas were yummy, we shared the Piccante Pizza and I got the Pepperoni Pizza to go for my daughter. Lastly, the noodles. These were not bad, but I would not get them again as they were a little bland. That being said, they were on the kid's menu so no big deal, we really just wanted to try them out. I would absolutely go back to this location, as well as the Cary location as I have tried it in the past but never left a review. We enjoyed the entire experience!

Let me begin by reminding my loyal followers--who know I have the subtlety of a brick when…read morereviewing food--that I grew up in Italy. I don't expect perfection in America. I do, however, expect witnesses to at least resemble the crime scene. The menu lured me in with a Margherita Classico: San Marzano tomato sauce, bufala mozzarella, and basil. I misunderstood. I assumed they meant San Marzano tomatoes, not a tomato sauce salted so aggressively it could preserve Pompeii for another 2,000 years. Americans do love putting sauce on everything, and I can live with that. But a proper Margherita doesn't need to swim. Let the tomatoes do the talking. The basil was fresh and lovely. The "bufala mozzarella," however, appeared to have called in sick and sent its bargain-bin cousin from the discount dairy aisle. If that was buffalo mozzarella, then I'm the Pope. The biggest heartbreak was the dough. It actually looked promising, but instead of light, airy, crisp, and kissed by a wood-fired oven, it had the personality of a yoga mat. Authentic pizza dough should make you smile before you even notice the toppings. Here's the baffling part: this isn't ancient family knowledge guarded by Italian grandmothers on mountaintops. The entire recipe is free. It's on YouTube. Thousands of Neapolitan pizzaioli have practically filmed a master's degree for anyone willing to spend ten minutes watching. The staff was genuinely friendly, the restaurant was clean, and I honestly believe they're trying to do something special. That's what makes this disappointing instead of merely bad. When you advertise authenticity, people expect authenticity--not a pizza that needed a passport just to identify itself. If anyone knows a truly authentic Italian pizza place in Raleigh, please point me there next time. My partner says I should stop trying to emotionally process mozzarella.
