Junk food at its worst, tried this Chain for the first and last time. Everything was just wrong. At least I was not sick.

Serving staff was mildly rude but seemed a lol overworked. Food quality was excellent though. I'd go back.

This was a great place to eat. It was a first for us and won't be the last. Even gave us free food for it being our first time.

I have yet to get an order that is remotely close to what I requested and paid for. The wait time here is beyond ridiculous and after waiting more than 20 minutes because they didn't have enough chicken or the right pieces of chicken available they simply throw whatever they have in a box and send it out. I have pointed the problem out in person and on the phone after getting but home with an order that didn't come close to what I purchased after being reassured my order was double checked before handing it over to me - the receipt has been correct but does match what they deliver. I can't blame it completely on this location because I have experienced the same problems at the 5 locations that I frequent depending on the direction I 'm traveling from. I can't believe someone at the top doesn't recognize the failures and put in a fix - poor training and poor management across the board, this ain't cheap chicken and while I'm at it - bring back the red beans and rice and jalapeños, geez this is Louisiana Chicken, it's getting harder and harder to return here, feels like they need some real competition...

Izzy's is the perfect little dive located right on the main beach road (Atlantic Ave.) in New Smyrna Beach. The last time I was in New Smyrna, I stayed at a little condo less than a block from Izzy's. I didn't make my way down to this little eatery until 2 days before we left. But in those last 2 days, I visited Izzy's 3 times and have been waiting to return ever since. At first, I thought Izzy's was just a little ice cream shop. I didn't really think it was worth going out of my way. But my kids kept asking for ice cream, so I finally rewarded them at the end of our trip. But once we visited, my eyes were opened! Hallelujah, I saw the light! Izzy's ALSO serves fresh off the grill, made-to-order tacos. Be still, my heart! Well, 6 years later and Izzy's is still bringing the heat (and cold, I guess, too? You know, with the ice cream and all. Anyway...) I ordered Bang Shrimp, Baja Fish, and Street Steak tacos. They didn't last long. I could have had three more tacos, but I felt I should exercise some level of decorum. I will be visiting, again, on this little Florida excursion to try the rest of their taco menu! My children each got ice cream. Izzy's serves both soft serve and traditional hard ice cream with all the little add-ons you'd want. Izzy's is what makes the beach great. Izzy's has limited parking, as well as both indoor and outdoor seating. (If they are crowded, there is outdoor seating in the back most people don't realize is there). We parked just half a block away at one of the main parking lots for New Smyrna Beach. This is also where you can find beach ramp access to drive on the beach, which is a great feature of Florida's East coast.

Dinner plans the other night started the way many great family evenings do--complete confusion and…read moremild hunger-induced panic. We had company over, and the original plan was our classic "let's see what's hiding in the freezer and pretend it was intentional" dinner strategy. Unfortunately, reality set in. My wife was exhausted, and I have to admit something publicly: I'm only a competent cook under two conditions--ample prep time and my beloved Instant Pot. Remove either of those variables and my culinary skills quickly resemble a survival cooking show. I wasn't quite ready to debut my "experimental freezer casserole surprise" for guests. So the family meeting began. Chinese food? Nope--someone just had it. Pizza? Also no--apparently that was last night's adventure. Burgers? Absolutely not. One of the teens dramatically declared, "Not today, Satan." Then, out of nowhere, a teenager casually drops a suggestion that stopped the room: "Barbecue from a place called Crave." Barbecue? Interesting. But... none of us had ever heard of this place. Naturally, the next question was: Where is it? And that's when the real twist arrived. Apparently Crave Hot Dogs & BBQ is inside Walmart Supercenter. Yes. Inside Walmart. At this point I was convinced the teenager had been scrolling too much TikTok. A barbecue restaurant... in Walmart? I had to see this with my own eyes. So off we went. Sure enough, tucked right inside the store was this little barbecue spot that looked like it had no business being that good. The smell alone should have been illegal to pump into a retail environment. You walk in expecting to buy paper towels and leave smelling like you just visited a smokehouse in Texas. And the food? Surprisingly fantastic. The barbecue had that smoky flavor that makes you pause mid-bite and say, "Okay... hold on... this is actually really good." The portions were generous, the menu had plenty of options, and somehow the whole thing managed to feel both fast and freshly made. The real miracle of the evening was that everyone--kids, guests, and the exhausted adults--walked away happy and full. No experimental freezer meals were required, and my reputation as a "competent host" lived to see another day. Final verdict: If someone tells you there's legit barbecue inside Walmart, don't argue--go investigate. You might walk in skeptical, but you'll probably walk out full, impressed, and wondering how you discovered a hidden barbecue joint in the same place you buy laundry detergent.

The music is at the right volume to be able to talk while enjoying it. The kitchen is open and everything appears clean. The food was really tasty I got the Tropical Salad with crispy shrimp. It may become my new favorite!! The person I was here with got a burger, which we ordered double and it was just right. The fries were tasty "like McDonald's". It was kind of confusing when we walked in. It was our first time and we didn't realize we had to go to the register to order. The bartender over to his section and told us we had to order there and then they would deliver to the table. When he brought the salad, he brought it with only a plastic fork, which made it a little hard to collect all the yummy and pieces in the salad. Plastic utensils in a restaurant seem anti-environmental to me. I think for the utensils alone I marked it down one star.

They have some kind of lime seasoning that completely missed the mark for me. The bright spot was the rice bowl. It was fresh, flavorful, and easily the best thing we ordered. The ordering process is simple... order at the counter, find a seat, and they bring your food out. I also liked the variety of indoor and outdoor seating. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but there are too many better burger spots around for me to make a return trip.
