Chick-fil-A Signature member status until 2023
    Liz I.

My family LOVES Chick-fil-A. I can count on one hand how many times they got my order wrong and they always fixed it. You can see that we go a lot because we have signature member status until 2023.

Not too pricey and pretty big serving sizes. They have fresh cut fries and several other non chicken items. Several salads and sandwich items. It's inside a big building that shares with other companies. They have some seating right out in front, but not a whole lot. It can get packed if school is in session.

I haven't felt well the last two days . I needed to eat so I could take medicine. I placed my delivery order 2 hours before they stopped taking orders . I was thankful and surprised to see reasonable prices . Keeping it didn't put my hopes up too high because of me being ill. It's a miracle I ordered a meal with dessert 100% satisfaction. I requested my Pulled Pork sandwich with no barbecue and no side order of coleslaw. The meat was very tender and seasoned well. The fries were rispy .The Jumbo Chocolate Chip Cookie was jumbo sized . It could be shared with others which is never my goal . The cookie was moist and easily breaking up. The unsweetened watermelon Lemonade was lit . I noticed the flavor separation with a watermelon spear in the take out container

Typically, I rate based on several visits to get an overall picture of the place, but I will bypass the rule if the experience was exceptional (#1). Mike's was downright excellent. I ate the food warm and I ate it cold, and I'm still thinking about it. I tried to save some time by ordering online and also bypass any potential lines. Thankfully, there were none when I arrived, but a very full house of happy eaters despite being well past primetime lunch hours. The staff was friendly in the front but fielding many orders at the same time. I missed the literal pick up window outside, but was happy to get a gander of what it looks like inside. There's plenty of seating for groups and the place seemed a lot cleaner than the divey narratives folks emphasized. Prices were not astronomical, as I paid $14 and $13 for an order of 4 tenders + 2 sides, as well as 2 wings and 2 sides. The tenders were nothing like a Raising Cane's with skimpy portions and high price tags, instead it was plump, crispy, and perfectly fried. The accompanying sauces (Mike's sauce + buffalo sauce) were excellent additions and complimented the crispy fries. I was extremely impressed with the mac & cheese and very flavorful, mashed potatoes and gravy. The wings were no different: soft exterior with a nice crunch, meaty chunks off the bone, and wasn't too greasy. While the green beans weren't the most memorable side, the creamy corn was strangely addicting. Next time, I'm ordering the sides separately and in a large. I can only hope the other locations are just as good and will make good effort to visit them all. It's a rare occasion to be this infatuated with a place, but I'm confident it will be the first on my return list when I'm back in Dallas again. ___________ (#1) Or exceptionally bad.

All of the sides are really good too. Tip: Order online and don't call. I called 8 times trying to get an update on my online order and they didn't answer once. When I arrived they had everything ready and it was all correct though.

First, Feathered Friend is not closed. It moved to the Canton Marketplace. Check their website…read moreand/or FB. Second, the Canton Marketplace is open only once a month, during Canton First Mondays. That's not Monday, it's the Thu-Sun before the first Monday of each month. So, yes, only one weekend a month can you try this place! Third, I never thought this place looked good because it was in a gas station, and maybe the logo didn't spark joy for me. Even in the Canton Marketplace, I almost didn't try it. My misjudgment! The spicy OG is the ***best*** chicken sandwich I've ever had. It's a bit messy, so maybe I should ask for 3/4 as much sauce. Or really, I'll just learn to be tidier each time I enjoy it. Sauce might drip out even as you are unwrapping it. =) The regular OG is the **2nd-best** chicken sandwich I've ever had. =) Chicken thighs FTW!!! (You can also get the sandwich with white meat instead, but I much prefer the version with dark meat. Really owe it to yourself to try the OG as an OG.) They also make their own sweet tea and lemonade. Of the sides I've tried, I think I liked the corn/elote best. Oh, right, they also have a mean salad! One of the best I've ever had. Tough choice between that and the spicy OG. But I'd say you gotta try the chicken sandwich at least once, the way it's meant to be. You can take the salad home for later. Chef Ryan is a nice guy. I think he likes trying new things and thinking outside the box. I give them six stars. But minus one for being open only one weekend a month.
