Small, unseasoned boiled shrimp on a pile of lettuce. After being boiled with no seasoning, the shrimp are then heavily coated with red pepper (or maybe Cajun seasoning). And the remoulade sauce is in small condiment cups on the side - barely enough to dress the salad. But most of the food here is pretty good (the burgers are massive), and most plates come with enough for some extra to take home. It's well organized and designed like you'd expect a medium sized grocery store to be. Set up in a way where you almost have to go right upon entry. It's always clean, shelves are well stocked and everything is where it's supposed to be. Ralph's Market feels like a neighborhood grocery store. The cashiers and stockers are very friendly and personal. Maybe I go there too much but I find myself having personal conversations with some of them about their personal lives and other things going on in their world AND I'm not even from the area. Sure go here if you're in the area. I'd almost always prefer to support a store like this which is independently owned instead of one of the larger chain grocery stores where you don't get the personal touch. The deli also serves lunch and breakfast with several options on each. I've had the breakfast with no complaints and even a slice of pizza one day. Also, two of the ladies I work with go there to get salads on a regular basis for lunch. But there's also more hardier options available.
