I haven't been to Sno's in some years but I will say this place was ok. I have had better seafood. As soon as I walked in the ambiance was very nice, very nice and open and very welcoming. As soon as the hostess sat us down I noticed that the table were very close by each other which I don't like simply bc I could hear the next tables conversation and it was hard to have a conversation of my own. Other than that, the service was good. Our waiter was very nice and efficient and knew the menu like the back of his hand! I ordered the Dru Platter which was the choice of two items off the seafood platter and I got the friend shrimp and fish and it was pretty good. The shrimp were my favorite and it was fried and seasoned very well. For dessert I had the white chocolate bread pudding and it was very good! Very moist and not to sweet but just right! Service, the waiter was not attentive, and we had a party of 6, and the waiter Telvin tried to double charge a tip, by telling our table there was no tip included, I then added another tip unknowingly which gave him over a 80 dollar tip. The service! All your waitstaff tends to hangout by the drink station rather than actually refilling patrons drinks. I can't tell you how many times a waitress has walked by my table without even making eye contact. No excuse why your tea glass should stay empty for 20 minutes while your food is getting ice cold. The manager continually walks the floor yet also seems oblivious to the empty drink glasses. Guess that's where the waitstaff gets it from. read more

I haven't been here in ages and was interested in trying this place out again. I mean, they must be doing something right as they are always packed and have been open for half a century. So what better time than to treat a new hire down in Louisiana for the first time from our Ohio sister site? He lived it but for a native Louisiana boy. It was ok. The service was outstanding and the food was good but not the best it had. We started with the sampler of onion rings, crab claws, and fried mushrooms. A good place to start. Mushrooms had a hint of crab boil to them. The chicken and sausage were legit. I had the trio platter with fried fish, fried shrimp, and stuffed shrimp. This was also good but not the best I ever had. My co-worker had the baked catfish Cecile which he said was very good. Today I got a item off the lite salt healthy part of the menu, it was 2 grilled chicken breast serve red over fresh sautéed spinach with mushrooms and a salad. Was super delicious and my granddaughter the shrimp scampi pasta it was rich and creamy with lots of shrimp in it. They have many types of fresh fish also it's cooked to order so it you can get it blackened, or pan fried with or with the salt. After visiting the Oak Alley Plantation, Dave and I took a long drive. We wanted to eat an early dinner so we could return to the RV campground for the night. I ordered the broiled seafood dinner, which was HUGE! It consisted of a grilled catfish fillet, some Cajun shrimp, a cup of gumbo, creamed spinach, shrimp au gratin, hush puppies and to top it off a salad! Dave had the Crab Cakes with angel hair pasta with Alfredo sauce with lump crab meat, hush puppies, onion rings and a salad! Needless to say we both tasted each other's food lol! I asked to speak to the manager about the misleading info on the price and his response was "well she said she think she told you $15.99 if you don't want it you can return it" .. no apologies , no compromising , no nothing . Had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant and the food was exceptional. We were greeted and seated upon arrival with huge friendly faces and didn't have to wait too long to be served. Wished they had the shrimp and corn bisque daily but the gumbo is quite tasty. We enjoyed the jacked up spinach dip and entree grilled seafood platter. The crab cakes did not look as pictured they were fried instead of an organic crab cake made from scratch. I won't order that again. But overall I will return. It's a nice place to go eat for a dinner date. Our waitress forgot about us. And she disappeared for long periods of time. She only came 3 times to our table. We had to ask another person if they could find her because we were waiting for our ticket. We will always tip at least 20% but more if service is great. However, that experience put a bad taste in my mouth. It's expensive to eat there and then add in a tip for bad service. Just don't want to go back after that. read more

Great food & service Watch out for steps to go to back room to eat. They need to fix those steps. Too deep. Safety hazard. I fell last week and hurt both of my knees. It consist of fried crab fingers, seafood gumbo, fried soft shell crab, crab meat au meat gratin, stuffed crab, salad, hush puppies and for an up charge of 3.00 instead of French fires get a seafood stuffed potato. Based off of the reviews I expected much more. We started with the crab cakes which were though cooked okay lacked seasoning or much depth, came with Alfredo which was pretty basic no seasoning. Salad dressing was great. Ordered the Zapp's catfish which was supposed to be battered with the saltiest chips known to man.. they also had no flavor and tasted like they were out of a frozen box.
