The Crabmeat Dutsie appetizer was amazing! The creamy cheesy crabmeat with the crunchy toast was delicious. The pasta and stuffed potato were also the best I've had. We will definitely be returning here!

I haven't been here in ages and was interested in trying this place out again. I mean, they must be doing something right as they are always packed and have been open for half a century. So what better time than to treat a new hire down in Louisiana for the first time from our Ohio sister site? He lived it but for a native Louisiana boy. It was ok. The service was outstanding and the food was good but not the best it had. We started with the sampler of onion rings, crab claws, and fried mushrooms. A good place to start. Mushrooms had a hint of crab boil to them. The chicken and sausage were legit. I had the trio platter with fried fish, fried shrimp, and stuffed shrimp. This was also good but not the best I ever had. My co-worker had the baked catfish Cecile which he said was very good. To top it off I had the bread pudding which had white chocolate and a rum sauce which was the best part of the meal. All in all, this was a good experience.

The meal was good, but it's the bread pudding that makes Sno's worth a visit. Save room for dessert!

I absolutely love crab claws and these were delicious. Wasn't too salty and cooked just right. I would definitely recommend this. Their fried food platters looked amazing and it seems like everyone enjoyed them. The prices were more than reasonable for the portion sizes

After visiting the Oak Alley Plantation, Dave and I took a long drive. We wanted to eat an early dinner so we could return to the RV campground for the night. Dave stopped at a small Post Office and was recommended to Sno's. We were able to sit outside in a very comfortable setting and enjoy dinner. Our server Mina was a doll and so friendly. I ordered the broiled seafood dinner, which was HUGE! It consisted of a grilled catfish fillet, some Cajun shrimp, a cup of gumbo, creamed spinach, shrimp au gratin, hush puppies and to top it off a salad! Dave had the Crab Cakes with angel hair pasta with Alfredo sauce with lump crab meat, hush puppies, onion rings and a salad! Needless to say we both tasted each other's food lol! Mina kept refilling my coffee for me and I think we both won't have to eat for a week lol! It's fun to try all kinds of local food as we travel. This also helps us support local businesses and meet lovely

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I called and ordered two quarts of gumbo , the lady who took my order told me the gumbo was $13/quart . I ordered two quarts and my total came to be a little more than $36. I asked to speak to the manager about the misleading info on the price and his response was "well she said she think she told you $15.99 if you don't want it you can return it" .. no apologies , no compromising , no nothing . I will NOT be returning to this poorly ran restaurant After getting home , I'm even more pissed . The gumbo is horrible . It's thick like gravy with nothing but tiny Chinese shrimp in it ! Don't waste your time or $$

Had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant and the food was exceptional. We were greeted and seated upon arrival with huge friendly faces and didn't have to wait too long to be served. Wished they had the shrimp and corn bisque daily but the gumbo is quite tasty. We enjoyed the jacked up spinach dip and entree grilled seafood platter. The crab cakes did not look as pictured they were fried instead of an organic crab cake made from scratch. I won't order that again. But overall I will return. The lemon drop martini was yummy!

The fish and shrimp were small, the potato was small and undercooked in the middle and hard to chew. Only saw two small bites of crabmeat in the sauce. He said, "Next time you're in Gonzales, please stop by -- I'd love to meet you." So this past Sunday, Parker and I went in for brunch -- same time of day as before -- but this time we sat in the dining room, and the experience was completely different and absolutely wonderful. From the moment I walked in, Ava at the host stand smiled and said, "Oh, you're back!" and that right there is what I love about great front-of-house teams -- you feel remembered and welcomed. I asked if Jason was there, and it turns out Sunday is normally his day off, but he came in just to see us. That alone meant so much. He was warm, fun, genuinely hospitable, and made us feel truly cared for. And then Connor came by -- now sporting a mustache that somehow makes him look five years older -- but he recognized me right away and gave me a big hug. That kind of genuine connection says everything about the people who work here. Our server, Aaliyah, was phenomenal -- friendly, attentive, and always offering great recommendations with the best attitude. We started with Bloody Marys (which we loved), then ordered 3 pounds of crawfish, which also comes with corn and potatoes. It's early in the season, so they were lightly salty, but still absolutely delicious and perfect with the local draft beer we ordered (I believe it was from Parish Brewing). Such a great pairing. Parker ordered the half grilled shrimp with chicken gumbo, and I had the fried oyster po'boy with seafood gumbo -- mine was fantastic. His gumbo leaned a little salty, but overall everything was flavorful and satisfying. And then... Jason surprised us with king cake, just in time for Mardi Gras. He recommended strawberry and I also went with a classic because I'm a traditionalist when it comes to king cake -- and it was perfect. What really made the experience special was the atmosphere: families, couples, friends -- you could feel that this is a true community spot that people love. It was lively, warm, and full of good energy. Thank you, Jason, for going out of your way and turning a bad experience into an unforgettable one. Thank you, Aaliyah, for being such a wonderful server. And thank you, Connor (and that mustache ) for the hug and the warm welcome back. And thank you, Don's Seafood, for reminding me why this place is such a Gonzales staple. We'll definitely be back.
