Heard about this place at a Publix as a 'don't miss place' to eat in Richmond. Opted for the drive through at 3 pm, there were 8 cars in line ahead of me. Finally got to order people were really nice and helpful. Ordered a family meal pack, the chicken was hot and flavorful. I liked the fries. The Mac and cheese was bland. I am glad I came and will be back.

Chicken tender meal

My family was visiting from out of town and got into Richmond pretty late, so our dinner options were a little bit limited. Luckily Lee is open until 9 PM, and I have been meaning to try this place on the recommendation of many friends. When we got there, the drive-through line wrapped around the parking lot, when we walked in, the one inside was equally long. They were so busy that they had to pause orders for a little bit, but the major hold up was with the wings. The way the counter was incredibly nice and helpful. When we told her it was our first time, we ended up deciding to get the chicken tenders and the eight piece family meal. Because we opted to not get the wings since we were hungry, our food came out very quickly. They were kind enough to also include an extra piece in both! The size of the pieces were also very generous, and between the three of us, we had plenty of leftovers. The chicken itself was crispy and delicious, and I loved the wide variety of sauce options that they had. the potato wedges were also great, though I found the mac & cheese and green beans a little bit forgettable. The cashier had told us that the apples were one of her favorite signs, and they were definitely delicious! I would love to come back and try the wings, though I'll know in the future to not order quite as much!

Place was PACKED on a Saturday afternoon, but service was quick and employees were pleasant. Small carrot vibes with a decent sized dining area. Chicken was fresh, hot, and perfectly crispy. Mac n cheese is definitely not grandma's recipe, wouldn't order that again. Standard selection of sauces; ranch, BBQ, honey mustard, something called "bonsai sauce"... Of course family friendly. Reasonably priced in my opinion. I think it would be great for a quick bite if I lived in the area. Would try it again on another visit.

Ordered thru driveway. Service was quick and customer service was great! The chicken tenders and mashed potatoes were delicious! The Mac and cheese left a little to be desired, not much taste and bland. The portion was large and left enough for a second meal. Would definitely go back again and switch out the mac and cheese side.

Fast? yes Quality Food? Yes Good price? Yes The experience is amazing the place is regularly clean, and the customer service is professional, fast, and nice! Everyone working here must be paid very nice! People don't usually rate when they have a good experience but they do when they deliver an exceptional one! Keep your the good work!

You know I always have to stop by my favorite chicken spot in Richmond. The drive thru was long as always, but moved quickly. Customer service was good and the food is always consistent.

2 pc mixed snack $6

Friday 3/22/2024 I found about this place from the comment section of a foodie on tiktok so I had to see what it was about for myself. This is a local fast food spot in Richmond with drive thru and that's exactly where I went. I got a 2pc strip meal with wedges & hot apples $10, a 2pc mixed snack $6, and a few of their sauces: honey mustard, ranch, and bbq. The chicken strips were pretty good. The sides for the meal: wedges & hot apples were decent. The 2 pc mixed chicken snack was decent but I'd definitely take the breast over the thigh. The only notable sauce was the honey mustard but If I was ranking them I'd say: honey mustard first, then ranch, and then bbq sauce. This is a solid fast food spot that I would be open to coming back to and recommend.

Heaven on earth!

Simply the best. Lee's is a go to when it's time for a cheat dinner! The chicken tenders are incredible, the sides are all good (Mac n Cheese, Mashed Potatoes, Potato Wedges are my favorites), the freshly made biscuit and they make a great unsweetened iced tea. The staff is friendly. they are fast and efficient! What else could you ask for?

I got 3 piece tender meal with Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and a biscuit. The mashed potato was smooth, but lacked flavor. The Mac n cheese felt very generic, like a Kraft box Mac n cheese. However the highlight was of course the fried chicken! It was crispy, juicy, and amazing! Some of the absolute best fast food fried chicken tender you can get hands down. Will you regret your decision later, maybe but in the moment your tastebuds will love it. For fast food at the mere price of $13 it's a solid meal. Food: 6.6 Staff/service: n/a Overall: 6.6/10

We were in the area and looking for something quick but not the typical fast food. We found this place on Yelp so we tried it. First view, I see the prices and I'm like "what in the world". Tad expensive, but inflation... lol. We order the food via drive thru and whatever process they have, THEY GOT IT DOWN! A true drive through because it was so quick. Our food was hot too, the real hot - not just sitting under a warmer. Once we saw the containers the food was in, we realized why the price was what it was. The portions were HUGE. The photo doesn't do it justice. Everything was delicious, I couldn't get over it. The bonsai sauce is my fave. The tenders were HUGE! We had leftovers enough for dinner later. I'm glad this place isn't in my area because they'd make me bankrupt lol. The service was nice too.

Chicken and double wedges

This is one of my first or last stops when I come home to Virginia. I always purchase extra potato wedges to freeze and bring back to New York. There are no potato wedges like them. My mom and I came here because we couldn't think of anything to have for dinner that we wouldn't have in New York, but of course, Lee's fail-safe for dining choices. The food is always fresh. The staff is always friendly, and the service is always good. It might cost a little more than other places, but then again, it takes better than other places.Make sure you get a biscuit or two extra to take with you.

You can make your burger the way you want it-- no weird sauces or frills (unless you want), just a delicious tasting burger with a varied menu . my burger: well done, pepper jack cheese, grilled jalapeños, mayo and lettuce. Fresh off the grill flavor with a bun that is warm and lightly toasted (cold buns wreck a burger) and tastes good. Fries are browned with skin on--yum -- a perfect crisp, and salted just right. For me, better than Five Guys. A surprising treat as I generally don't expect much when it comes to fries-- hit or miss. These were great! Onion rings are crisp and not anemic- looking or at all soggy. I have eaten at Beavine (over salted yuk), Burger Bach --expensive and w/sauces that don't belong on a burger. I've done Burtons Grill-- unimpressed, expensive--their bernaise sauce overpowered the burger and made the entire thing soggy. Smash Burger, shake shack, etc., (unimpressed). If you just want a solid, delicious burger and fries or rings, in Richmond VA, this is the place. Thank you Four Brothers. --Satisfied Customer

I noticed the ice cream/yogurt spot nearby was hopping. There was a person asking for change outside the front door. We were greeted by an enthusiastic host and seated immediately at a booth up front. The server came by within seconds and brought us water and place settings. We decided to get the chips and salsa for an appetizer and a pair of melting chimichangas for entrees. I can't resist some chorizo and steak. My partner got the chimichanga without chorizo and with chicken. The ambiance was colorful with beautifully painted murals on each wall, and the atmosphere was undeniably loud. There were lots of patrons. The place was packed, even at the bar, so your mileage may vary. We received our orders within minutes of each other, so there wasn't much of a wait time. The chips and salsa were homemade, fresh, warm, and delicious (muy rico). Same for the entrees; exactly what I want in a Mexican food restaurant. The chorizo and steak were well-cooked, seasoned, and chopped finely, but not ground. I was in heaven with that chimichanga. We had to take home leftovers. The next night, heated in the oven at 325 for 30 minutes, they were similarly excellent. The night ended without dessert, sadly (too full). However, the server was quick and efficient, and he was always around to fill water and bring anything we needed throughout the meal. Great experience overall. We will definitely return here whenever we have a hankering for some good Mexican food at reasonable prices. I can recommend this place to anyone who appreciates hearty and filling Mexican food.

The ambiance can be described as eclectic and casual. It's great for big groups and relaxed lunches. There's a variety of menu options for food and drink. Our server was nice, but she didn't really answer our questions about the menu or substitutions, which was a little inconvenient. Also, we kept having to ask for utensils and napkins, which made our food get a bit cold. The pineapple habanero margarita tasted like spicy pineapple juice and was pretty expensive. It was pretty, but not worth the money. The food also was really average, but the portion sizes were good for sharing. The huitlacoche tacos were a little bland and soggy, the chicken chipotle tacos had a good sauce but were also soggy and the fajitas did not have enough seasoning. Not a restaurant that I would come back to, but I liked it's proximity to other dessert places nearby.

It is fast casual - you order at the kiosk and grab a place to eat, listening for your number and/or text to alert you the food is ready. We arrived about 6pm on a Saturday night. It was busy and I grabbed one of the last two tables. It got very busy shortly after we placed our orders. The dining area is pretty big with plenty of bar seating around the windows. While we all ordered one after the other, our food didn't come out that way. Most of the food came out in about 25-30 minutes. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Juicy! Two people got tenders and three of us got sandwiches. The OG sandwich was very good, just messy! I ended up using a fork and knife bc it got too messy. The Mac and cheese was made with pimento cheese and was very good. My friend who got the fried green tomatoes said they were delicious and filling. Lots of goodies on top. Two friends enjoyed the collards. The only person who was underwhelmed was the person who got the Asian sandwich. We walked in to find the staff bustling, cooking, and prepping orders, and the smell of some delicious fried chicken in the air. I saw the kiosks and was not too thrilled with the Wawa experience, but we gave it a shot anyway, since fried chicken is one of our favorites. The process was simple and allowed us to add or remove anything we could want, so that was nice. While walking to find a seat, we saw a person panhandling in the dining area, but the staff promptly removed him from the premises. I ordered us the Pimento Cheese Balls for an appetizer, and I chose the Fried Chicken and French Toast as my entree because I always try the "chicken and waffles" at every establishment that offers it. My partner ordered the OG Chicken Sandwich without tomato, and it came with crinkle-cut fries. It was about $40. The chef proclaimed our order was ready in quick succession, maybe three orders behind the guests before us. We waited about ten minutes, maybe fifteen at most. We picked up the orders from the counter, and there was a mix-up on the syrup, but the chef promptly rectified the situation. He was a no-nonsense kind of guy; straight to the point. He seemed firm, yet kind. It was clear the day had been a busy one; he even told us as much, which was great to hear (busy = fantastic food). The French toast squares looked like rye or pumpernickel, and they emitted a sweet aroma, a delightful hit of cinnamon and brown sugar. I drizzled the caramel syrup on my chicken and toast, sliced a piece, and paired a bite of chicken with the toast. I closed my eyes to savor the flavors: the toast was crunchy and almost gooey (yet, not overly so), the chicken was crunchy, the sweet cinnamon-y flavors from the toast, the caramel from the syrup, and the tender, moist chicken were a match made in culinary art. I cannot sufficiently describe the French toast in a way that would do it justice; it was crunchy and semi-gooey, and all scrumptious. I can only say it was the single best French toast that I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Next, I tried the fried pimento cheese balls. Oh my. If you like mozzarella sticks, try these. I adored them: elevated fried cheese, for real. My partner enjoyed her sandwich as well; she ate everything except some of her fries. I saved half of my chicken and toast for today because I am like a treasure golem when it comes to delicious leftovers. I am going to air-fry the chicken and skillet-heat the toast back to its original goodness. I told the cooks that that was the best French toast that I have ever had, and I mean it. Do yourself a favor and try it if you're into French toast. This one is the GOAT. Side note: I spoke with the head chef outside, and he is from another branch (possibly Henrico?) to whip this location back into shape. Two words: "Nailed it."

The Huguenot location used to be my spot, but since I moved, this one is now closer. I didn't mind the switch, I figured it'd be nice to try a different location. I've been here twice so far. The place itself is nice, parking can be a little tight but not a big deal. I also like that they have a rooftop area (haven't gone up there yet since it's always cold when I visit). Now, the reason for this review, I stopped by yesterday with a friend, and our total came to almost $40 for just two bowls and one bag of pita chips (no drinks!). We noticed the portions of rice, chicken, and other toppings were smaller than usual. When we asked for just a little bit more, the staff member said it would be extra charge, and he meant it! We ended up paying way more than what I typically spend at other CAVA locations ($25 for two people). I'm not trying to be cheap, but it doesn't feel fair to serve such small portions and then charge extra when customers ask for a little more. I still love CAVA and the food is good but I might be limiting the amount of time I go there.
