The parking lot was a log jam and the line for the women's restroom was stretched to the ordering counter. Chik Fila is usually our go to fast food, but in the total time spent here waiting to order and getting your food you could have sat at actual restaurant. I've been to some fast serving chick-fil-a's and unfortunately this isn't one of them. They're fast enough in the drive thru but not like the others I've visited. Ordering ahead is usually a good idea because the drive thru can sometimes run out onto College Rd and the pick up is pretty quick. Late night pick ups sometimes take realllllllly long like 20-30 minutes which is weird because that's when they have no drive thru line. read more

Not the staff or food, but the way they've decided to repurpose the parking lot for drive thru. Once you turn in you're stuck, at a certain point the company has to redesign facilities, open more stores, or something. Driving through Ocala. My coffee was wrong three times and they never got it right. Unless you're good with the sugary syrup, don't order the iced coffee here. This is the longest chick fil a drive thru I have ever been in. I could have actually gone in and eaten in the twenty something minutes I was just pulling around. Although there are always a lot of cars, the traffic didn't move forward for minutes at a time. And it seemed that they didn't have the food ready at the window. The staff in the drive thru were nice. You could tell that they were hot, as it was humid and in the high eighties. The food was good but not amazing. Just a very mediocre experience here. read more

I stopped in on 12-31-2016 and had the 12 piece nugget meal with fries and a lemonade. Very good, as usual. Hot food. Good quantities. Excellent lemonade. So we are driving down to Florida and I keep seeing Chik fil a. I wanted to stop and when I decided it was time in South Carolina the Chik fil as stopped until we got till Ocala. We were so disappointed at this location. IMO, Poor layout and very difficult to navigate both inside and drive through. It was also dirty inside. They were very busy, so we had to wait about 5 min for food to be delivered and then we were missing one of our drinks. When I went to the counter to ask about it, I was told I'd have wait since that particular drink was made separately. No effort made to check how long it would be, no offer for a substitute. Even when they are slightly packed they get their customers in and out of there quick (though I personally avoid the drive-thru if it is crammed). I ordered inside and 14(yes I counted) cars drove thru and got their orders before mine even got dropped on the back counter and another 5 before the girl got back to it. So if you are in a hurry, or want to spend less than 45 minutes here, HIGHLY recommend going through the drive thru because that is clearly their priority. read more

We went here to try this place out as we don't have Chick-Fil-A in our area. Service was good, food was good. For our son to like their Chicken Sandwich, this makes it a good place as he is the pickiest eater. chick-fil-a is my absolute favorite go to spot. i'm a signature member through their app. i'm from orlando and have always had the best experiences with the chick-fil-a's there, never had any wrong orders. however, i recently moved to ocala and this chick-fil-a has been horrible! i've had multiple different issues. i always do a mobile order so i can ensure that everything i want is ordered correctly but the first time i came through here they messed up my salad order and the line is always extremely long to the point where it's ending all the way out on a busy road so i had to go all the way back out to the end of the line and wait to get my order fixed because i couldn't even get in to the parking lot. then i came back on another occasion with my mother and once again did a mobile order where we hit max chickfila sauce for every meal and side. imagine how annoyed we were once we got home and there was not one single thing of chickfila sauce. super disappointing as this is the only chickfila in ocala other than the one inside the mall. read more

Have never seen an establishment operate so smoothly under such pressure! A few days before Thanksgiving, this large Chic Fil A was mobbed. The long, 2-lane drive thru had dozens of cars in line--non-stop cars filled w/ people lining up to order. But the wait was minimum &, as usual, the chicken & service were EXCELLENT! Kudos to the male manager in the straw hat who stood outside the pickup window in the actual car lane, checked each bag before handing it off, & cheerfully thanked his customers. First time I've ever seen a manager taking on such duties! And he was happy!!! Prior to his role, a female staffer walked up to car windows to take orders then another employee accepted payment before the manager handed out the food & drink. This establishment operated no differently than a well-oiled machine! I was dumbfounded on how incredibly adaptive this business was. Will be sure to stop here again when passing thru! The Chick fil A on 200 in Ocala. This chick fil a makes me never want to patronize this chain all together. We are sauce people. Particularly the honey roasted bbq. It comes in packets. When we go, we order 3 meals and 2 large fries. (2 people in our party are vegetarians but enjoy CFA fries and sauce) we request 15 honey roasted BBQ sauces. I always offer to pay extra because it is a lot of sauce and they NEVER give me the packets. Tonight, they were rude, and refused to give me 15 sauce packets. That is technically 5 sauces per meal. If you want to know the details 2 large fries takes 6 sauces. Three CFA sandwiches take 2 each. Then the last three large fries use one sauce. Technically not THAT excessive. Now, we also order the catering size of polynesian (it goes well on everything) its extra and I'm happy to purchase it. However, this franchise always leaves it off the order and includes 2 small sauces. NOT what I ordered. The staff makes excuses routinely about not having a button to charge for extra sauce.... I'm tired of having the sauce argument with this establishment. When you eat out you should be able to enjoy your food with the amount of sauce you choose.
