I got the turkey sandwich. It was very good, but it had a balsamic type of sauce on it I was not crazy about. My mom had the Italian and she did not like the sauce that was on hers either. We also had the chicken tortilla soup which was very good and potato salad. They have a good selection. Bagels, smoked whitefish salad, chopped liver, pastrami on rye.... THAT is a deli. They served a GIANT Half iced tea/half lemonade that was rather good. The pickle served beside my sandwich as crisp, juicy and garlicky. My sandwich, however - was really ordinary. The app nor the employee on the phone didn't give any instructions on where to park or any instructions on how to pick up curbside. When I got to the restaurant I had to physically go in and pick up the food. Which I don't mind, but what's the sense in 'curbside' if that's not what their offering?!? Customer service was very poor at this restaurant. The employee was aware we had been waiting for an extended time then preceded to help someone behind me in line then helped an employee with someone else's transaction when I could clearly see my order was ready since before we had walked in. We are plant-exclusive eaters, and leave many restaurants with "We should have stayed home." Not here! The food was fresh, hot food was hot, the cold food was cold. We were able to order everything to our taste. I was surprised this is a chain, as I've never heard of it or seen one before. The property was extremely clean and comfortable, and there was no LOUD awful music at lunchtime. I had a giant baked potato with vegetables, hold the cheese (spinach, broccoli, bell peppers and red onions...ordered with double vegetables for $1 more) and the veggie chili (it has delicious beans and is completely meatless). My boyfriend had the veggie wrap, hold the mayo and a side of steamed broccoli with a plain baked potato. Of course we poured the chili on the spuds!! The food here is okay for American fare.The place is counter ordering then open table with number delivery. Their spuds and sandwiches are pretty good. However, you can tell the quality by how empty the establishment is the majority of the time. Of course, even with being the only customer in the restaurant, I still managed to sit at a table that was "reserved" with absolutely no indication of said reservation to differentiate them. After being asked to move or leave, I can tell how much this place appreciates their customers. The food's quality here is not worth the treatment as a paying customer. read more

Another stop on the feeding frenzy I had during a recent Ocala trip to visit my parents. We came here for lunch one day and were happy to see they weren't too busy. Luckily it wasn't too hot so after ordering inside we sat outside and enjoyed a decent meal. Was tough to decide what I wanted, but I ended up getting the Big Nasty. 1/2 pound of roast beef with gravy and cheese served open faced on a baguette. Very tasty and pretty darn filling. If you like Roast Beef...I recommend giving it a shot. My Mom had the Orange cranberry Club and it, too, was delicious...the orange cranberry sauce really made this a great sammich! My Dad got The Italian on a croissant and seemed pretty pleased with himself and he popped the last morsel into his mouth. If you're gonna go with a side...I'd say go with the potato salad...I did cole slaw and was a little disappointed. Certainly lots of choices here and the prices weren't too bad. This location in particular does not have WiFi as advertised though, they claim it works "sometimes" which is a huge let down as people would probably choose to go to Panera if this was known. read more

I call on the way to add an ice water- yeah- can't order that ahead of time. Just tell the person at curbside and they will go get it. No curbside spot so I pull up. Super nice young lady brings food- I send her back for ice water and then I pay.. go back to hotel. 2 tablespoons of Mac-n-cheese and how do you make tomatoes so chewy in your tomato cucumber salad? I typically enjoy McAlister's and do recommend it, but this was not a good experience. I ordered the BLT+A, but when it arrived there was no Avocado on the sandwich. I brought it back to the counter and told someone, who then told me "Oh we don't have avocado"... Nothing on the menu states this, I was not told by the cashier, nor by the person delivering the food to our table. When I brought it to their attention, I was not offered an apology, a new sandwich, or a refund. Nothing. Just poor customer service all the way around. The trip today I found a piece of plastic in my sandwich, so we told a staff member who immediately called over a manager who apologized for the inconvenience and offered us either another sandwich or a refund. Just okay, nothing special. Great selection of sandwiches, etc. I had the Chicken Caesar wrap and it was really good but was ruined by the hard, cold wrap. Could hardly chew it.
