Terrible guest service I ordered a market salad which comes with blueberries,apples,strawberries and blue cheese. I ordered it without the blueberries. Mind u the salad should bring apples and the strawberrys. When I got my order it was just lettuce and chicken. 30 year Chick Fil-A fan here. Love them. Posting on this location because I think it's consistently fallen below CFA's standards of excellence for too long. Haven't dined in since COVID. Drive through QA is terrible, I suspect kitchen prep issues too. I haven't had an ordered fulfilled correctly in two years, regardless of how it's placed (mobile app, drive through intercom, CFA member with a tablet). That's not an exaggeration. Food has many times been cold or lacks concurrent handoff (i.e. "we're making fries, please wait in the parking lot sir.") It happens. I'm fine with that. It shouldn't be what I can reliably expect. Most irritating is that customer service is adversarial. You had ONE JOB...get the order right, now you're going to tell me I don't know that what's on my receipt isn't in the bag? Unacceptable. Experience is the same from locals I know who go there as well. I deliberately avoid this CFA now, and on the assumption the owner/operator (David Kim) can't manage effectively have begun checking whether he's the owner/operator at other locations before placing an order. If they didn't get the small orders right (like a single milkshake for my child) I'd rate them 1 star. read more

Spicy chicken sandwich was juicy and flavorful. Fruit cup tasted fresh. Fries were crispy and hot. No other quick service restaurant really compares to Chick Fil A in terms of quality and overall customer experience. Earlier today I read an astonishing stat which caused me to stop by on my way back from the airport for a quick lunch--Chick Fil A has higher gross sales than KFC, with a third the stores nationwide and only being open six days per week! So I LOVE ChikFilA ( who doesn't ?) . The service at this one on Sunset Hills is the worst service I have had at any fast food restaurant. Until now, all my ChikFilA restaurant experiences have been awesome, which is what sets them apart from others (in addition to the awesome food taste). This location - on 3 occasions now within a month has messed up my order or I have had to wait for 18 minutes AFTER paying and being asked to wait in the pick up area for drive thru. The staff is clueless, they always mess up orders ( ChikFilA guys pride themselves on making sure things are right, people confirm your order, etc), and they still mess up. The folks at this location are not friendly either. Stay away from this location! Btw - my fav locations in this area are then Dulles Retail plaza and Broadlands. Friendly cashiers. Quick service and food. If they aren't slammed, you can take a seat and they will come find you to deliver your order. Very clean and tidy. Lots of seating! A decent number of plugs if you do want to work from your laptop. Decent parking and sizable drive-thru. Easy to find location and therefore very busy during lunch. read more

I don't eat chicken and I don't eat fast food any more although Chick-fil-A is not really fast food just food done fast it seems by the cult following. I have read about the cult following, the "closed on Sundays" philosophy that helps define their beliefs and oh-so-wish they would have an IPO because we all know it would be the cash cow...or should I say cash-chicken. Reason I popped in: My amazing fiance has two great sons and they both love CFA-so I wanted to get a gift card for the high school son. The staff is so genuinely kind. Fatima was at the counter and when I told her rather "sheepishly" (trying to insert animal funnies here) that this was my first time and I didn't eat chicken (why I felt the need to blurt that out is beyond me - it's like blurting out that i have bunions to perfect strangers) Fatima didn't shun me or make fun of me. I told her that i would have to come back for their peppermint-chocolate shake sometime, after spying it on the menu . The picture looked good too. Guess what happened next? Fatima said she was going to give me a chocolate peppermint shake - wha??? Seriously? I was blown away. Yes, this really happened. It was delicious - all 660 calories of it too. No apologies. Well it's remodeled appropriately for the busy Rest on area...dual drive thru lanes are a plus...the inside is now geared towards the IT crowd that works nearby. Gone is the play area...replaced by 7 tables and a booth.., really an attempt at maximizing seating area which is good but not in a efficient way...seating encroaches on the front so when people come in to order and if it's busy you may have a perfect eye level view of someone's tush or they may be gawking at you as you eat while they wait their turn. They shrank the side length of the store... of seating area which is beyond me as to why ...maybe larger fridge / freezer in the back?...but it's over and done with..i think they should have expanded the footprint in front more ...squared it off and they could have added more tables without taking away the play area for families that call Reston home....just my two cents. read more

Just got home from the drive thru at Sunset Hills. Order messed up. Simple order so what does it take to get it right. Ordered 2 chick fil a sandwiches without pickles and 2 chocolate chip cookies. Was given 2 chick fil a sandwiches on multigrain Brioche Bun with sesame seeds and it had "7" pickles on it. Couldn't believe the screw up either of us like pickles or sesame seeds! The order was taken on iPad order4. Register 51, transaction #29 @ 7:41. We paid for transaction when we ordered, but got to window and they said we had not paid. Out of all the Chick fil A's that I've been to, this was the worst customer service I have ever encountered. The woman "Jennifer"(disappointing) was extremely unprofessional in that not only she messed up on an order, but hung up on us when we called to ask about it, argued saying we were wrong, saying it was our fault, and all in all couldn't just accept that she herself might have made the mistake. Every time, every single time that I come to this Chik-fil-a's drive thru, I get a spicy southwest salad. And every time, without fail, they only give me ONE avocado lime ranch packet, even when I ask for extra. And the kicker is, the salad is SUPPOSED to come with two dressing packets. Okay, I love Chick-fil-A as much as the next person but something super shady happened to me at this location. I placed a mobile order as usual, with curb side pick up. As I got within a mile of the store the app asked me to "check in my meal" (this is when they charge you and begin to prepare it). I checked in my meal and was charged. When I arrived it became immediately apparent that they were closed on a Tuesday morning. I wrote an email to Chick-fil-A, they gave me a report number and said they reached out to the local store. I go to the local store on Wednesday (because I'm addicted) and think I may be able to resolve it while I am there. I could not. The owner's wife Susan Kim told me that I need to call an 800 number to speak to "headquarters" for refunds. It was just such a weird, unhelpful, un-ChickfilA way to handle the entire thing I was shocked. The owner's wife said she would ring up the entire order for free but I didn't need the entire order this time, Tuesday I ordered for 3 people, now I am eating for one. So she said "I can't do anything, call 800 number". I paid for my Wednesday meal and now I doubt I'll ever be reimbursed for the money they charged me while they were closed. read more

Me and my fiance frequent the Sunset Hills Reston, VA location. We even eat there so much we've both became Chick Fil A One Signature members. I'm not saying we must be treated like royalty due to our levels of app use. But I've contacted Chick Fil A over this issue 5 different times now. In store and online. It's now been 3 times at this Sunset Hills location that I've had hair in my food and the manager acts non chalant. Are hair nets not worn anymore? The third time last week having hair in my food was the last straw. We have made up the decision not to ever visit this location again until the proper safety is taken with food handing. I do believe hair in food is a health code violation. My first report was almost a month and change ago. This shows that my hard earned money isn't appreciated. Parking and the drive through is a driver's nightmare during lunch and dinner time but people still keep coming back. If you haven't tried chick fil a yet... now is the time. I'm really easy to please. This location delivers in cleanliness, general welcoming personalities, and as always the food is delicious. Literally just a 4/5 because I had an item missing from my order twice during the lunch rush. Came back in later the day after I was done with work and they gave me my food complete with a voucher, but it wasn't anything more than they've done anywhere else. The drive-thru is double laned and is pretty fast. You don't want to go between 12PM and 1:15PM because it is packed. Other than that, enjoy your meal! I've had a pretty good experience with this Chick-fil-A. I used to work near by and the owners were very nice. The owner used to walk up and talk to us because she recognized us. Called back asked to speak to someone about the situation so we could go back and pick up the rest of our order... but we were put on hold and then they hung up.... Called back again, and the lady argued with me about our order saying that it was correct, shouldn't be an argument... over a $3 sandwich... Real petty on their part; asked for the ladies name and she said her name was Jennifer, who knows if that's her real name.. don't recommend this chic-fil a, the one in North point always has great customer service. read more

My only four star fast food chain... Although I'm not a fan of their politics, I'm a sucker for delicious, relatively-healthy options, uber convenience in ordering through the app, and polite service where the customer is always right. I love the culture of cheerfulness that permeates the Chick-fila dining room. Even though this location does not feature a play area inside like the Fairfax restaurant, kids still get excited to come here. As a new step mom, I figured out quickly that chicken nuggets and milkshakes must hold some kind of magic for little ones. Not sure what it is--but better left unquestioned like Santa or the power of the swimming pool to tire children out and make them more docile at bedtime. Back to Chick-Fila Reston--- The restaurant's employees actually seem happy to work here and it shows. The drive through lines get very long but they move quickly as does the counter. The parking lot can be congested and difficult to navigate at lunch rush. So.....recommend that you skip all that and use the app to order--they bring it right to your car, custom tailored to your exact condiment requests!! Just make sure you choose the right Chick-Fila location on the app--it doesn't automatically do it for you. When using the app you get little extras (I.e. a free soup, protein blend, milkshake, biscuit, etc.) that can be redeemed on the app or at the counter. The Chicken Noodle Soup and Superfood Side are delicious for a quick lunch! I ordered a small ice coffee and they charged me for a large with out even saying anything they refunded the card which we all know can take up to 30 days for the money to come back. I don't eat at Chick-fil-A often mostly because it has long line/wait. Today I needed a small meal around 3pm and came to this location. No line to wait. I was able to order right away. The staff was very pleasant to take my order and accommodated to my change of order in the middle. I was waiting for my food near the exit door and the staff brought my food all the way to me instead of calling my name or number at the counter. Ever since i visited the originial chick fil a in Atlanta i have been craving it. Which is weird since i've never even had dinner there! So when we were looking for a good spot to have a date, the first thing that came to my mind was Chick fil a. Yes, i'm that classy! I made a major mistake at Chick fil a. I didn't order the chicken sandwich. Somehow i got it in my mind that i wanted a wrap, so i opted for the chicken ceasar wrap. Big mistake. I tried Jeff's sandwich and it was SO much better than my stupid wrap. Not that my wrap was bad, but it wasn't anywhere near as awesome as the sandwich. The perfectly fried chicken just melted in my motuh as i took a bite. The chicken nuggets were stuffed full of chicken which is way better than being heavily battered. The waffle fries are very unique and just plain old tasty. But the best part of the whole meal was the oreo milkshake. I had heard great things about it , but not until i tasted it did i truly understand. It was so good that every time the bf took a sip, i shot him a look that said "you better not finish the thing!" I really was enjoying my shake. So i learned that i need to stick to the fried chicken.... and i can not wiat for the new one to open near my school! When I am bad: It's got to be the #5 grilled chicken sandwich with-OUT the bacon this might sound not so bad but the I add in the waffle fries with that incredible honey bbq mustard. Take a packet of the HBM and slather it on each fry as you eat it. ahhhh My mouth waters typing this. Last thing add in a lemonade and you are SET! Since my initial visit post remodel a couple months ago, I decided I would go back so last week I went inside to place my order only to find out they've gotten rid of their YUMMY coleslaw! I asked the order taker why that item hadbeen removed and she said that they dound it wasn't a big seller. I told her that I had loved their coleslaw and since the slaw would have made up half of my order I didn't see any point in staying. So between the horrible remodeling that was done and now they've dropped their coleslaw I figure no point in returning. Wow. This was the first time I've been to THIS Chick-Fil-A and I have to say I was impressed with the level of service. ...and how busy it was! Usually Chick-Fil-A has good service -- I know the whole "My Pleasure" mantra they put in the Kool-Aid back in the kitchen. But there were employees walking the dining area, pre-bussing tables and offering drink refills. Whaaaaat? At a fast food chain? I tried the new grilled chicken sandwich with bacon on it. Added honey mustard and it was good. That being said, probably won't get it again anytime soon. It was about $6 JUST for the sandwich. I may be a dollar menu scoundrel when it comes to fast food (which I generally try to avoid); and I realize that Chick-Fil-A is probably higher quality fast food.... but still, $6 for a FF sandwich is just too much in my opinion. For $6 I'd rather put it towards a non-fast food meal or even get a Chipotle burrito or something which i think is better and more filling for about the same price or a buck more. That being said, I give this location 4 stars, because of the customer service... Impressive. On my way to work, I'm at awe at how many people are waiting in the drive through at 9am. One day I just said eh why not. The line goes by super fast, its great! They got their stuff together at this Chick-fil-A because its like bag out the window soon as the person pulls up. They always two different drive throughs that merges into one to pay. I haven't been inside yet so I can't tell you what improvements they did but I am really impressed with their service. It does get congested but I don't think I've ever waited more than 10 minutes from when I go into the line to when I pay. Maybe I just get lucky when I go. ;) read more
