BLTA sandwich (only available for a limited time)
Susan H.

One thing I want to make clear about this updated review --- My experience happened just before all COVID-19 hell broke loose. If what happened to us had happened in the present, I would have cut them a lot of slack due to the fact that these are very stressful times for us all---especially for those who deal with the public on a daily basis. We were here on a Sunday in the beginning of March. I stopped in to get 2 sandwiches to go. We were interested in trying the BLTA (bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado) as it was only going to be around for a limited time. The place wasn't busy at all. I walked up to the counter and told the sandwich maker that I wanted 2 BLTAs on white bread to go. He asked me to repeat my order 3 times---and he still screwed it up. One thing I've never liked about Potbelly is that their sandwich making process is opaque. At other places, like Jersey Mike's and Subway you are able to watch your sandwich being made from start to finish. At Potbelly you can't see a thing and just have to trust that it is being made properly. If we were eating it there, we would have caught the mistake and brought it to their attention. Instead, we didn't discover it until we got home. One of the sandwiches had no bacon on it at all. Seriously, there was no excuse for that, especially when that sandwich costs more than the others on their menu. I looked at the receipt and they had a website where you could fill out a survey and get a free cookie at a later visit. I did the survey with the hope of giving them feedback. The website is "potbellylistens". Yeah, right. I explained what happened. The survey asked if we wanted them to call us about our experience. I filled in the info. Never did anyone call. Considering we were still in "normal times", that was inexcusable. As I said, if something like that happened during these fraught times, I would have let it go. In the future, when life goes back to normal, we expect we'll go to a Potbelly when our grandkids visit. After we took them here once, it then turned out that they really like it and now want to eat here when they're in town. We will just avoid this particular one and always be sure to dine in so that we can catch any mistakes that may happen.

Meatball Sandwich
Andrea T.

We don't have Potbelly Sandwich Shops in Georgia so I wanted to try them out while I was in town. As the name suggests, they specialize in sub sandwiches--toasted and made to order--along with soups, salads, milkshakes, Zapp's potato chips and cookies. I took it as a good sign that the line was almost out the door. During the lunch rush, an employee used a tablet to take orders from people way back in the line. I appreciated that efficiency. There were at least fifteen people ahead of me but I wasn't in line more than six or seven minutes. I ordered the original Meatball Sandwich with marinara and provolone. The bread was gloriously crisp with no jagged edges to Cap'N Crunch cut the roof of my mouth. Unfortunately, there were too many gristles in the meatballs. For a sandwich that good looking and that tasty to have so much gristle was so wrong. Two stars for the gristly sandwich with a third star for the cookies. They were fresh baked and since my table was painted Cookie Monster blue, the kid in me enjoyed them that much more. My first visit wasn't everything I'd hoped for but any chain selling Zapp's with their subs can't be dismissed that easily in my heart. I would be willing to give Potbelly's another shot but I'd try a different sandwich next time.

The awesome management and staff here at this location are very friendly and informative as well as helpful Indeed. What I had ordered for dinner was extremely very delicious and nutritious indeed. Dining rooms were professionally organized, maintained and taken care of by the spectacular and splendid management and staff.

Their black bean burger is unique and delicious; their pomegranate muffins are to die for. Their sushi bowls, molar bowls, confetti bowls( please see the menu photo) are so unique and exquisite. All the dressings are made in house and they are stupendous. I have missed out on the soup a few times( sold out in the first hour). The place is casual with tall seating stools and a self help table w plastic ware and napkins. I don't think I am doing a good job and justice by writing about this. Not even close. There's so many delicious spins on the classic dish I would've never thought of. Rather than getting a meal there, I bought the medium and large size chicken salad containers to make my own sandwiches throughout the week. What I ordered: The Olivia's Old South and Jalapeño hopper were my favorites but all the flavors I got really good! Your order comes with crackers. If you get their sandwiches it comes with 1-2 sides. Service: The staff let you try as many of the flavors as you want at the restaurant which was super kind! That's how I knew which options to order. Overall, I'll definitely be going back and ordering a couple of the larger chicken salad containers for weeks I don't feel like meal prepping. Inside restaurant: It's a large spot with tons of seats. It's a casual vibe.

Ordering, when dining in, involves giving one's order to the person at the counter. A nice man was working there and greeted us with a smile. I told him it was our first time here and we would probably have a few questions. We looked at the menu (they have one on the wall as well as a laminated one). I chose their 1-scoop platter. For my chicken, I chose "Carol," which is a simply dressed scoop. They have other scoops that have items in them, such as pimentos. For my side, I chose "broccoli salad". Crackers are given with each platter. Plus, a cookie is given (mini round buttercream frosted). My husband got a croissant with Carol's chicken salad. He got a cup of soup instead of a side dish. We each got soft drinks. A cup is given, and it's self-serve. All in all, we enjoyed our meals. The decor, to me anyway, reminded me of an old time kitchen table, complete with plastic tablecloths with prints. I felt the decor gave off a cozy feel.

We loved the speakeasy vibe and the unmarked door entrance that made the whole experience feel unique and elevated from the start. The atmosphere was elegant, intimate, and beautifully designed, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy expertly crafted cocktails after dinner. Even though we only came for drinks this time, the experience completely exceeded expectations. We'll definitely be back again and next time hope to try some of the food menu as well.

The ambiance was cozy and intimate. The waiter was also super great! She very observant and timely with her dish deliveries and water refills. We decided to start with two small plates which were an excellent start to our experience. The Bourbon Glazed Pork Belly was absolutely delicious. From the sauces that were included on the dish to the perfectly cooked and seasoned potatoes... I definitely would recommend this dish to everyone that decides to visit Heirloom. Then the Oysters Rockefeller.... simply put, so much flavor! I then opted to get the Heirloom Burger. All the items that came on the burger added to the taste experience, however, my only wish was that the patty should have been seasoned a tad more. Despite that, my additions of bbq sauce and mayo added to the burger, where the seasoning kind of lacked. Overall, great experience. I will be back!

Grant Street, it turns out, is disjointed. In other words, it's not like it's just a straight shot from one end to the other. We stopped in here on a Saturday around 4 p.m. The place closes at 6 p.m., and are closed on Sunday. At that time of day, they weren't at all busy. The young man at the counter took our orders, and someone working in the back made the sandwiches. We just ordered savory items, so we can't speak to how the sweet items are (although some of them sounded so good). I ordered the salmon sandwich, which consists of: "Choice of your chimney bread, spread with dill cream cheese, filled with smoked Atlantic salmon, spring mix, cucumber, and red onion." The bread choices are everything bagel, jalapeno, and cheesy. I chose the everything bagel and asked for no onion. I found this sandwich to be tasty, but I thought they could have gone lighter with the dill cream cheese. The bread had a nice crispness. My husband ordered the ham and Swiss sandwich, which consists of: "Choice of your chimney bread, spread with paprika mayo and filled with black forest ham, Swiss cheese, fresh romaine hearts, spring mix, sweet pepper, tomato, cucumber, and red onion". He wasn't happy with the paprika mayo, as he says mustard would have worked better. Nor did he care for the sweet peppers. Now he knows not to order the default setting for this sandwich but instead to customize the toppings. They work with DoorDash, which, when ordering online, gives the option to customize one's order.
