Been here 2 times. The first wasn't bad but wasn't anything to rave about. The second was awful. Everything was old. It was me and 2 friends and all of our food was cold and old. I really like chicken no matter if it's fried, baked, boiled or grilled! Tried this place and I want to give a big shout out to our server, Becca. Friendly, honest, helpful and funny. Now, for the rest of it, not-so-much. The chicken sandwich was average at best. Nice looking French fries, but didn't taste completely done. Slightly overpriced compared to other places and did they really charge me extra for two tomatoes, a slice of cheese and a piece of lettuce? Really? I'll bet if In-and-Out sold chicken sandwiches they would out shine this franchise by far. Not only in taste, but price as well. There is a reason I chose to use the drive-through with three children... I am exhausted and wanted the convenience of a drive-through!!! I had to unpack my kids because they shorted me chicken nuggets ...gave me three napkins for three kids and myself... And gave me toys that are not age-appropriate!! Ughhhhh!! This place rocks. The food is delicious and doesn't taste pre packaged. The employees are insanely friendly. I don't know if they get treated really well or what but the customer service is great and it's always an enjoyable experience. For me, those foods are slightly pricey but read at their philosophy : food is essential for life, therefore make it good. Good food, good price. It has clean indoor playground. I like their condiments and utensils table. The employees always polite and friendly. If you want to make party for your child, they have the package for it. A morning in September, we went to get breakfast : chicken egg whites sandwiches. For some reason, it took a bit longer to serve one of it. A manager came to me and give me a surprise as apologize. I asked for a spicy chicken sandwich deluxe meal with no tomato, no pickles....they got that right, but i ordered a milkshake with no cherry, four chick fil a sauces. And they proceeded to put a cherry on my milkshake. and forgot the fries and all the sauce i had wanted. Never coming back to this location in Santee one of the employees had the nerve to swear at me, "have a good day mother f***er," went in to complain and called both managers said they find it hard to believe and did nothing else to find out who the young man was. Well done. This Chick Fil A location is clean, easy to park and the staff is extremely friendly to us. They will check on you to make are your drinks are filled, they offer kids mats for young messy eaters, they have a small play set built indoors, the list goes on. Our service was friendly and fast and food served hot. The new frozen lemonade they offer now is fantastic - a lemonade milkshake - so delicious and refreshing! We now definitely prefer this location over the one on Sports Arena due to all of these reasons! read more

First and last time I'm going there, expensive. Probably because I was over charged for several items. Chicken didn't taste nearly as good as any other chicken place. Chick-fil-A is good but I don't like there chick fil a sauce. It's not good. It's too sweet for a sauce. I tried it with chicken nuggets and waffles fries. It doesn't go with it. But there chicken nuggets is so good, super juicy. Waffles fries are to die for. Everyone loves there chicken sandwich. It's so good. There Lemonade is good too. I haven't tried there milkshakes but I heard they are good too. If I were you go get a chicken sandwich or nuggets or get both while your at it. read more

I don't make it to Santee very often, but from now on I'll probably stop at Chick-fil-A. I had some extra time before different store opened, so i decided to read and have a littke snack. I met a woman in the parking lot who was homeless. She didn't ask for anything, but I invited her to eat. When I ordered, and the woman ordered, the Assistant Manager comped my meal. I am in tears because I really hadn't planned on eating more than a snack, I've been unemployed for 2 months...but decided to splurge and then invited someone to eat who was worse off than me in an effort to put my life in perspective. We never know when something will surprise and move us. I had just stopped to visit my Mom who is recovering from a fall with broken ribs and a bad bang to the forehead and was heading back to the office. I wanted to get something good for lunch and stopped in here. The counter person who happened to be a manager named Josh. Asked me how I was and how things were going. Out of character I said okay, not great. He inquired if I was okay. So I told him the quick reason for not being great. Worrying about my Mom. He immediately was caring and said nice things. He took care of me by paying for my order. After I sat down, he came out and found me to check on me and ask about doing some prayers for my Mom and myself. He asked if we should do it right then and there and I said yes! I needed some care and love from the universe and Josh said a very nice prayer for my Mom and I. He was genuine and very pleasant. I felt like there was good in the world and much more hopeful. The food came quickly and was fantasic as usual. They topped it off with a chocolate cookie. I ate in silence with a smile and deep appreciation for people who care for others. It lifted my spirits that if we all would care more openly about people, our world and spirits would improve and help people heal. Josh, you made my day. First time at a chic filet and as far as chicken is concerned it is very good, kids loved the nuggets and strips and I really enjoyed the spicy sandwich, that being said I wasn't very impressed with the waffle fries they were soft and not crispy, and it was pricey for what you got. read more

Just saying before the review commences - FREE COFFEE at this location all throughout February! Just ask for a free hot or iced coffee with your purchase in February, and you'll get it. The vanilla iced is great! Anyway - This location is actually the first Chick-Fil-A I have ever eaten at, and it's a great restaurant. The people who keep this store afloat, from the kids who run the registers to the very nice managers, make the Santee location amazing. The outdoor area rivals outdoor dining areas of most "sit down" restaurants, they always have cool events going on for their community, the store is always clean, and the manager was extremely quick to correct a customer service problem I had (not related to food or anything - just over a reward code I was texted from their club). Wow, this place was not what I'm used to when visiting a Chik-fil-a. There was only one person at the register and one customer being helped, with 8-10 people waiting. We waited for quite a while and saw about 8 or 9 employees walking around filling straw containers, counting money or just looking for things to do. I was on my way to work and happened to pass by Chick-Fil-A and noticed there was no line in the drive thru so I took advantage! I was greeted by Sean and his customer service skills amazed me. He was so professional and courteous along with everyone else who was working at the drive thru. I absolutely love the selection they have especially for breakfast! I ended up ordering the chicken breakfast burrito with eggs, hash brown & cheese and a iced vanilla coffee. The coffee is delicious. Went over to Santee to get me some Chick Fil A, I lived in Texas for 4 years with 4 Chick Fil A's within a 8 minutes drive from my house, but never really went, but since coming back to San Diego all I can think about is Chick Fil A ...lol...if the craving comes over me I would drove all the way over to Wastlake or the one over by Point Loma, (been to Point Loma a lot lately...lol) anyway getting off track, we went there today for the grand opening and like always the service is the best super friendly staff and for the amount of people there the service was super fast and my Deluxe Chicken Sandwich was spot on super yummy :) So happy now if I need a chicken sandwich I only have to drive about 10 minutes :) read more

I'm pretty much a regular here on the weekends, especially when craving something other than the standard fast food choices in Santee. I've had Chick Fil A before but only on occasion so I'm glad this place is so close to home now. Their food is a bit on the expensive side for fast food but it's totally worth it when you take a bite of their food. Their chicken patties are so tasty that I don't need mayo/mustard/ketchup or really any other condiments other than the lettuce/tomato/pickle that comes on the sandwich. Same goes for their natural criss-cut fries, they are tasty and juicy just the way the are. I've definitely become a fan of Chick Fil A and highly recommend them for a unique fast food place. read more
