For this review, I want to share a story I feel that needs to be shared. I am a huge supporter and advocate for law enforcement as my significant other is a patrol officer. I'll leave his agency out of this. He's not from the Santee area so your guess is invalid. (lol) He was on 11-86 in the area and loves chick fil a and stopped in for a bite to eat. I'm unsure how the conversation went between my uniformed boyfriend and the employees but they comped his meal. He immediately called me and was incredibly touched and appreciated the hospitality, immensely. I was blown away, happy and emotional all rolled into one feeling. I am beyond impressed with chick and their friendly staff and their beliefs they hold and stand behind, unwavering. Their support for LE, and all military is impressive and very cool. Normally I come and get the number 1 and its pretty good. Tonight I decided to try the 4 piece chicken strips. I asked for the chick fil a sauce, bbq, and ranch. The lady asked if I would like to try any other sauces so I said what the heck ill try the polynesian. When I got home I was disappointed to find only 2 polynesian sauces in the bag. I didnt care for it so it kindve ruined my meal. The chicken strips were tasty but not hot at all. Im pretty sure they gave me staged chicken but didnt bother to heat it up. The normally amazing hot yummy waffle fries were also cold and a few pieces were slightly undercooked. Normally I come here and its really good which is why I chose 3 stars over 2. Also the iced tea was quite fresh and tasted very good. They have some of the best brewed iced tea compared to other places. Will be back eventually. read more

I was so bummed when I got home. I was starving and found that they had forgot to include dressing with my salad and then my mac and cheese was cold, so I had to resort to a microwaveable frozen dinner. Whaaaaah. But yes-I'm still giving them 5 stars. Why you ask? Because we eat here probably 2-3 times a week and 99% of the time, it's good. Because the food is good, it's fresh, their employees are almost always super nice, polite and helpful, the restaurant is kept clean, there's healthy choices, prices are fair and did mention the food is good? The chicken sandwiches are great (both regular and grilled) salads are always fresh with lots of green, leafy lettuce, yummy dressings and lots of chicken on the large salad. The sauces are all great, soups are good-seriously-everything is good here. My only complaint with any of the food is that the chicken nuggets are really chicken midgets. They taste good, but seriously, they are just too small for the money and you're just gonna want more so don't get them. It shouldn't have taken the one time they screwed up for me to write a review. We're quick to complain and slow to praise. Should be the other way around. And all in all, Chik fil A is one of the best fast food restaurants out there, hands down. This location is really efficient, of course now that I think about it all their locations are. I've come to dine in here and when it takes too long you get a coupon for a free item for waiting which is always nice. When I go through the drive through even with the many cars it's not a bad wait. You order through the box then there's a guy right after that swipes your card so that when you get up to the front they hand you your bags and you are on your way, talk about great customer service. I've visited this Chick-fil-A more than at least 20 times each time through the drive-through. Each time I've always gotten the same order, the Chicken sandwich meal with no pickles waffle fries, and a root beer or Sprite. Every time I went their chicken was very crispy and a big piece bigger than the bread which completes the sandwich. Their fries have always been hot and crispy and have stayed hot until I got home. Also, the soft drinks are never flat but more very carbonated and a great way to wash down the sandwich and fries. Their Chick-fil-A sauce is so sweet and tangy at the same time that compliments the fries so well. While the ambiance is great the waiters have always been the best and very conversational; they make us laugh almost every time they take our order. Whenever we arrive the drive-through line is so long that it's almost out to the street, yet the line goes by really quickly and you will have your order taken almost right away. Chick-fil-A is always on top of their services when they have overflowing lines they send out more employees so they are able to take orders, make them, and have people on their way faster. The only reason they don't get 5 stars from me is because they insist on refilling your sodas for you, so if multiple people want their refills at the same time you can end up standing there like a bump on a log for as much as 5 minutes. I lived in Texas for three years but never managed to get myself into a Chick-Fil-A. They were famous for chicken sandwiches, but that didn't appeal to me. How wrong I was. Last night my son and I tried it for the first time. I got the traditional chicken sandwich. It was plain - just a slab of chicken on a bun with a few pickles. I wasn't expecting much from the sandwich on its own, so I requested five sauces to go on the side. And then I took a bite. Heaven. Delicious. Perfection of a fried chicken sandwich. I progressively tried each sauce, but stopped everything when I got to the original Chick-Fil-A sauce. These guys know the right formula and it is a winner. After slathering two helpings' worth onto my sandwich, I dipped everything else I could find into it. The waffle fries, some of my son's fruit, and finally my finger. I stashed two more helpings into my purse for later. I assume my son enjoyed his meal, too, though I didn't pay much attention because I was making love to my side of Chick-Fil-A sauce. Next time I will probably try the grilled sandwich to see how it compares. Or maybe the spicy one. The place was impeccably clean for a fast food joint and the employees unusually happy (maybe there's a little extra something they pipe into that sauce?). The cashier was really nice and he went through the entire menu with me when I told him it was my first time. Anything else? Why yes. I was surprised to find one of the employees carrying a little tray of the sauces around the restaurant and offering more to the patrons. Of course, I took some extra sauce. It would have been rude not to. Also, they have a nice little kids' area. So I guess it is time for me to write a review. My Boyfriend and I are avid regulars of the Santee Chick-Fil-A, and we love this location. Nathan was great when he was on the register, always friendly and smiling. Tyler was awesome whenever we came in to eat, we are sad that he's gone. We've constantly gotten to know the new faces of this Chick-Fil-A since we come in at least once a week. Charity is a new face and we enjoy her at the register. She always remembers us (or should I say our order, since we always get the #4) and she is always pleasant. Felix, man, you have one of the greatest employees right there. Felix knows us and is always willing to go out of his way to say hi and ask us how we are doing. He's a great aspect to this Santee location. There are some new faces that I personally haven't remembered their names but they are also nice. The only thing is we used to come here last year every morning and we always had uncomfortable experiences with the employees. So we just stopped going in the mornings all together. The morning crew isn't as friendly in our opinion. We do not live in Santee, we actually live over by SDSU and we travel out of our way to come to this location because of the customer service we receive from the nightly crew. Mainly from the people I have listed. We love this location and we hope the atmosphere never changes! I haven't had Chic-Fil-A in over 10 years. Even when there was one only a mile away from me when I lived in Oceanside years ago. Ordered a spicy chicken sandwich, waffle fries, and lemonade. Wife opted for the original chicken sandwich, fries, and lemonade. EPIC. Moving to Santee was totally worth it! Bonus: The SAN DIEGO FREAKIN' CHICKEN WAS THERE! This restaurant is brand new, but so far so good. Obviously, it's pretty clean because of this. Yeah, it was pretty crowded, but it is brand new and every time there's a new restaurant, people come in droves. It should start calming down soon. The drive-thru line actually moved pretty efficiently. The line was long, but it was pretty fast. Our sandwiches and fries came out hot, and the lemonade wasn't all watered down. Parking seemed to be a little bit on the crazy side, but that's to be expected on a Saturday afternoon and when you're sharing parking with In-n-Out Burger and Lowe's. I'm a Chic Fil-A fan! Had my first chicken sandwich from there 1993 in Georgia, oh how I wished that they would build a shop out here in southern California, and finally they did! This place shares a parking lot with Lowe's, always spaces for parking. I go nuts for their 12 piece nuggets and chicken sandwiches! I love the Chic Fil a sauce and the garlic ranch sauces for the dip. When I go I'll get a bunch of chicken sandwiches to freeze at home, they taste good even thawed out and re-heated; (not the pickles so much) I can only say that for Chic Fil-a, there aren't many other resturants that still taste so good the day after. Today is the last straw! Our family has been going to this chick fila since it opened. Customer service was great and the food was always correct. Fast forward to now. I would say for the past year I have had to check my food when I go through the drive thru because at least 75% of the time they forget at least one item. I don't complain I just go in and get it. The last time I did, I overheard them laughing about "who forgot the yogurt in the drive thru". They don't seemed to be bothered with what an inconvenience it is to wait to get the food , then to have to go park and go in and get the missing item. It might just be a teenager thing, which seems to be who is working(I do love that they hire them) Today, I did what I always do. Check to make sure I have everything I ordered after It took them about 10 minutes to give me my food and while they were all joking and screwing around as I waited. I go home and take it out and open the packages and everything is wrong. The stickers on the food says exactly what I ordered. One was chicken, egg, pepper Jack on a biscuit. What I got was chicken, pepper Jack and biscuit. The next one was bacon, egg, pepper Jack (no American) on biscuit. What I got was bacon, chicken, egg, pepper Jack, American cheese on biscuit. I am tired of spending a god awful amount of money to one have to check my order each time I leave the drive thru or now have to open everything to make sure it's correctly made. I love Chick Fil A, but I am bummed out that this one sucks! I went tonight with the girlfriend and it wasn't good. I ordered 4 chicken strips and two large fries and a large drink and I asked for "a lot of honey mustard". They gave me 3 chicken strips, not 4, they forgot my fries, the only filled my drink up 2/3 full, and apparently "a lot" of honey mustard means 2 packets. The girl taking our order seemed upset about something and borderline rude. They had a guy outside walking up to cars in the drive through handing out menus. He skipped us. Worried, fearful and frustrated I was dealing with the possibility of my 85 and 88-year-old parents may have been exposed to Covid-19 by a family friend.
