This is literally the only fast food place in the entire Plainville/ Southington/ Newington/ New Britain area that I have never gotten cold, nasty food at. The fact that it's almost always busy might have something to do with it. But even if the drive thru line is a bit long, it goes pretty quickly. Food is ALWAYS hot and delicious. I can stop by in the afternoon, or 15 minutes before they close and everything is always fresh. Employees are always polite and friendly and seem very good at their jobs. I love Chick-fil-A and so glad it's in Southington! I took my boss and a coworker here for lunch. They had never been. They opted for the soup and grilled nuggets. I told them they were really missing out on the chicken sandwich. After having tastes of their folks I'm not so sure I was right. The healthy options were delicious. I also love their diet lemonade that I always think isn't diet because it's so good!!! The both remarked that they were very surprised how nice it was and how it didn't feel like fast food. We're in a very different era for restaurants, quality, and getting food. And I just want to say, Chick Fil A is nailing it. I ordered through Doordash, just 2 8-packs of nuggets and a half iced tea half lemonade. Ordered 7:35pm this evening. I live 7 minutes away. I had it at 7:50pm (thank you Doordash!), food was piping hot and as delicious as if I was there. ... The food is always good at chick fil a, but this location in Southington is not as friendly as the other chick fil a I've been to. Down south in Florida they are very friendly and in the West Hartford location they are also friendly. I am a southerner who moved to Connecticut almost 4 years ago and Chick-fil-A was one of the first restaurants I sought out. At the time I was disappointed to learn there were only 3 in the state with the closest one in Wallingford! Now I am so excited to have one in Southington and one in West Hartford since I live right in between. If you are looking for cheap run-of-the-mill fast food this is not the place for you. Chick-fil-A has quality and freshness as their underlying principles and it is well worth the extra cost. Sometimes you might need to wait a few extra minutes for your food but that is because it is being prepared as it is ordered. If your food is cold or you are unhappy with it, do not hesitate to tell them. They pride themselves on their customer service and they will take care of you no questions asked. Being from the south, Chik-fil-A is comfort food 101. Finding one in CT was a (wonderful) shock!! I went on a cold, rainy/snowy Thursday night, about 3 weeks after they opened....business was booming even at 8:00pm. First off, I like the fact that they will never, ever, be accused of understaffing. The people they hire are some of the nicest, most eager to please people you could hope to find in food service. And the food....ohhhhhh man, the chicken sammich's are to-die-for! Hot & tender & crispy & juicy & delicious!!! My personal fave, the Spicy Chik'n Sandwich....is really SPICY!!! (And I love that.....Truth In Advertising!!) And the Chik'n Nuggets will ruin you for any other version of nuggets...anywhere. Person taking orders in line was too busy complaining about his pay and flirting with a coworker waiting in line to take my actual order or answer questions so what I actually got was not correct, they tried giving me someone else's order, cashier was snappy. Staff running food to the tables was pushy as if they were required to walk a specific unmarked path on the floor and could not deviate under penalty of death when bringing food out which required a constant 2- step while waiting at the pick up table for a to go order... This is likely the worst Chik fil A that I have ever visited. We travel a lot and Chik fil A is the only fast food we will eat. Ordered grill nuggets to go among 24 dollars of other meals/drinks etc. Get out to the car they are breaded nuggets. Unfortunately I can't eat those. Brought them back in. No big deal. The shift manager grabs them out of my hands and tosses them in garbage. No apology. Barks about how I didn't pay for the grilled. Brings me the grilled nuggets. I ordered Today- Wednesday September 23, 2020 around 6:30 PM at the drive thru...as my mother was placing an order the employee was rushing her to finish her order, she kept cutting my mother off WHILE MY MOTHER EXPLAINED HER ALLERGY. Once we got our food we noticed that they messed up the sandwich instructions. We specifically asked for NO TOMATOES. My mother is allergic to it. However once we received the order WE HAD TOMATOES. The line was so long that we just threw away our entire order. We did not get a receipt & was not able to go into the store due to COVID. Absolutely disappointed at the staff that work at this chic fil a. Please pay attention to THE CUSTOMERS WHEN THEY ARE ORDERING! The restaurant being busy is no excuse!!! I bought a salad, wanted to exchange it and they wanted me to buy another salad! I didn't even open the salad!!

I decided to go through the drive through expecting a quick and easy order instead I was assisted by a person at the register who wasn't fully paying attention to my order which meant the person completely messed it up by giving the complete OPPOSITE of what I had asked for. Meaning I already payed. So it took a while to explain to the sloppy employees that that's not what I had ordered. They explained to me that they would refund 2 DAYS LATER. and on top of that, I ALREADY PAYED FOR THE SECOND TIME! It's not rocket science!!!!!! ITS FOOD! Get it right! I had to wait a full 15 minutes for them to get their sh*t figured out and give us the da*m food. And they have done some things similar in the past before. I have eaten a other Chick-fil-a franchise previously with excellent food and service...I was was looking forward to trying the new one (2 weeks ) here in Southington ...........Bottom line is they are not ready yet... Service was poor at best.. Over staffed and trying to train the employee's is not the way to go... Two sandwiches and one soup (almost $14) and 20 minutes later I'm still waiting, mean while six other patrons after me order and are served...I went to the counter twice to check, and they said it was coming right up...Finally asked for my $$$ back and headed out...
