Chick-fil-A Baylor is more than a restaurant. It's a home. Allow me to tell you a little story: As I parked on a rainy February morning, I thought I was just going to have a normal lunch. Nothing special, just a chicken sandwich and a Coke to put warm food in my belly on a dreary day. As I got out of my car however, I saw a Chick-fil-A employee named Smythe walking an elderly woman into the restaurant, holding an umbrella over her and making sure she didn't slip on the slick sidewalk. "What a nice guy!" I thought to myself. As I walked inside, another Chick-fil-A employee, Isaac, held the door for me. It wasn't just Smythe with the heart of an angel and a glowing grin, it was the whole staff! Person after person left me feeling loved, full, and cared for. Thinking back on sweet Isaac's coy smile and friendly jokes brings a tear to my eye. And I haven't even talked about the food yet! You may be thinking, "I've had Chick-fil-A before, I know what I'm going to get" and in a sense, you'd be right. The menu is very much the same as it is at other Chick-fil-A's (except for spicy tenders! shoutout test market!) but what the menu can't capture is the main ingredient of all the food at Chick-fil-A Baylor. The main ingredient here is love. It's baked into every piece of chicken, every french fry, every milkshake and salad. There is even love in the ketchup here!! If you think you've never tasted love before, then come to Chick-fil-A Baylor and have a chicken biscuit for breakfast. That thing is literally dripping with love. Finally, the belle of the ball at Chick-fil-A Baylor has got to be their Marketing Director. She is known and loved by all of the regulars. It's a sight to behold as she circles the restaurant having genuine conversations with all she encounters. She has such a magnetic personality, that when certain groups of people walk in, they immediately flock to Blair, as a harem of concubines would flock to their queen. It is truly a phenomenon. If you have not visited Chick-fil-A Baylor, you are missing out on the experience of your life. It is an oasis in the driest of deserts, a place where the lost and hungry can find rest, friends, and magnificent chicken. So go ahead, do yourself a favor and join the fun. This is a well that doesn't run dry. You'll be glad you stopped to take a sip. read more

Idk how many times I've came here and they forgot the sauce! The sauce makes the sandwich! There is always people in the store in button ups just standing around. I can't believe how fast & efficient this chick fil a is! We were hesitant to go through the drive through because the line looked long, but it took less than 5 minutes until I had my food in hand. I don't normally post feedback for fast food, but I felt compelled to do so after my 3rd visit to this CFA location. First off, I am not a resident of Waco. I am a Baylor alum, living in Dallas who makes the occasional visit back to Waco. I also like that this is conveniently located off the highway not too far from the Baylor campus. That being said, a couple of things I want to point out. This restaurant is fairly new, clean, and kept up very well. There is a nice, indoor playspace for kids. Even when there are lines, there are usually multiple employees at each register ready to expedite taking your order immediately so that you go through really quick. The most important thing that sticks out in my mind is the amazing customer service and the attention to detail/cleanliness. What I have experienced is above and beyond what I would expect from a fast food establishment. When I travel, I normally do so with our family with three young children. On more than once visit, I've been asked if I needed assistance taking my items (condiments, drinks) to my table, and it is followed up by an employee who helps in carrying my items to our table. This speaks volumes. As a parent, I can tell you how often a business offers to do this- very few do, and very few are obligated to have to, and it is a rarity for me to witness this especially for a fast food restaurant. At my last visit, it was a dinner rush during welcome week, and as the restaurant began to fill up with Baylor students, I saw how efficient they were. During peak times, they give you a plastic color coded container which serves as your marker/number for your order. I noticed that employees would bring the trays to the patrons matching up the order to the markers. This helped so that there was no traffic blocked by people "waiting" to pick up their order....a logistical nightmare for someone like me if I'm trying to claim a table, wait with a whiny, hungry kid and pick up my food. Multiple employees followed up with our table after dropping off my food..."did you need anything to be replenished? would you like anything else?", "may I take your tray?" (to assist me as I was attempting to bus/clean my table). I noticed two employees walking around at my last visit who made it a point to tidy up frequently after each table, sweeping the floor, and wiping down the trash bins. I've been to several CFAs in this state, and I'd rank the customer service here pretty much at the top for sure. Whatever training manual they're using, or whatever they are doing with the employees at this location is being done right, and I wish that other fast food places could have even a fraction of the customer service that I can get at this Waco location. read more

Very disappointed! This restaurant does not hold up to the Chick-fi-la name and brand we have grown to know and love. What happened??? Came to Waco to visit Baylor with our future Bear and went to Chick-fi-la twice, both for breakfast on different days. The first day we ordered chicken biscuits. Oh my gosh....the biscuits were hard as rocks and very dry. Terrible!!! The next day we ordered the mini cinnamon rolls. Again, hard and dry---they were not fresh but rather old and stale. We were all very disappointed because we have had nothing but wonderful experiences at every other Chick-fi-la in the nation and this one---well, it doesn't make the cut at all. Needless to say we did not return to eat breakfast again, or lunch, or dinner. Highly disappointing and not what you would expect from this well known and loved chain. read more

This Chick Fil a absolutely gets packed during rush times, which is not surprising at all. One of the greatest things about this chick fil a is the service. Everyone is so friendly, helpful and mostly importantly, organized. During the rush time, they were able to keep track of where the food went easily and no orders at my table of 6 people was messed up at all. One downside is that there was a friendly fly eating with us. The interior looks clean, so this un-wanted friend showing up was quite a surprise. Also, I'm not sure if all frosted lemonades at the chick fil a chains are made the same. But the frosted lemonade here tasted more like a vanilla milkshake. My sister and I couldn't even taste a hint of lemon in the drink. It was a lot more creamy than "frosted". Other than that, I would not hesitate to return to this chick fil a another time. I just hope they fix the fly problem and I would just not order a frosted lemonade. read more

I had an awful experience at this location. In short, I got very sick from the grilled nuggets. I called the store to tell of my experience in hopes that no one else had yet gotten sick, but when I called in McKenzie and Steven insinuated I was lying about being sick, told me there was no way they could help, didn't apologize for my experience even once, and barely snuck in a halfhearted "well, hope you get better" at the end of our conversation. Usually they are the gold standard with customer service so I was shocked at how I was treated today, when I was calling in to attempt to help make sure other customers did not get sick as well. I was later called back and was informed that in another manager's view nothing had been done wrong and at which point he offered another halfhearted "I apologize". I will never be coming back to this location, and I will advise others to follow suit. read more

My all time favorite restaurant. There is never a long wait, even if the line is out the door. The employees can often have it out before you leave the register. The service is great and the food is delicious. There are many varieties of foods available, as well as healthy options. The use of the Chick Fil A app to gain rewards is easy and worth it for the free food. By far the best of any fast food restaurant. read more

BEST CHIC FIL A EVER! The line was wrapped around the restaurant but they still managed to get us in and out in less than 10 minutes!!! The sweetest guy ever, Jeff, brought us our food and we realized we didn't have a straw. He went back and got us one. THEN while we were waiting for the straw we realized we also needed an extra order of fries and that I had accidentally picked the wrong dressing for my salad. We told him this when he came back with the straw and he was so sweet and went back inside AGAIN without even batting an eye. He brought me every single vinaigrette that they had I will never go to a different chic fil a because there's no way it could compare to the customer service at this one. read more

Whenever I decide to have lunch at Chick-fil-A I know it's going to be crowded. I was driving through Waco around lunchtime 1245-ish decide to stop. From the time I place my order paid it and got back on the road it was less than five minutes. This location has a system that works wonderfully. The young lady who was taking my order in person at the drive thur was very patient and understanding after I confused myself with my own order. Bad Customer Service!!!! NO quality check before food goes thru the drive-thru! Andrew did NOT quality check my simple and short order for three people. Sandwich meal, nuggets meal, 2 chocolate milks and....a yogurt parfait with cookies. They left OUT the yogurt parfait??!!!!
