Came here last Sunday afternoon. Luckily we made it before the church let out crowd so we got to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather while we ate out meals. Service was fast, and the employee was polite. Ordered the jr tray for the kiddo. She had: cheeseburger, burger quesadilla, corn dog, and pumpkin pie milkshake. My goodness she ate ALL THAT FOOD . The cheeseburger was small and the burger quesadilla was tiny and laughable. The pumpkin pie milkshake was absolutely amazing and had real chunks of pie in it. Also, it was more like an ice cream dessert than a milkshake drink. All in all a solid 4/5. I ordered the regular size tray: double cheeseburger, Chicken quesadilla, onion rings, and Oreo milkshake. Again, the quesadilla was tiny and pathetic, I gave it to the dog lol. I had high hopes. Now I know better. I ordered a chili dog hush puppies and a banana milkshake at the drive through. I pulled up to pay, handing cash to the cashier and he handed me a styrofoam box, saying he was going to be right back with my milkshake. I thought it was odd... did they put my chili dog in this box? I opened it up and there was a hamburger or cheeseburger in foil. I didn't know at the time and some hush puppies. I closed it back up and waited for the cashier to return with my milkshake and when he did, I said this isn't what I ordered. I ordered a hot dog and hush puppies and he told me it's too late. What does that mean? It's too late? It's too late to give me the right Order? It's too late to give me a refund? It's too late to give a crap? The food is delicious; the fries & hushpuppies are always on point, Their coleslaw is perfection. The shakes are amazing - thick and full of flavor. If they're busy you'll probably have to wait in a drive-thru line that wraps around the building twice; But you also have the option to park and walk up to order. *Note: they get busier at night, but when we stop by during the day it's been a less than 5 minute wait. **The only possible down about this Cook Out is the speaker system. The last time we went through the drive-thru the speaker was garbled in both directions, so both the employee and the customer basically heard the Charlie Brown "wahwah wahwah wa". Cookout is the definition of average. It's neither good nor bad. If your intention is to fill your stomach with decently priced food that's a bit better in quality than McDonalds then this would be the best option. All that said the benefit of cookout is that everything is highly customizable, so if you pick your toppings and condiments correctly you could get something really enjoyable to your palette. read more

Our experiences are just, well, surreal, aren't they? The drive thru line? Oh. My. Goodness! It required employees directing traffic in the parking lot. As if we were attending a Kiss concert at the local fair. Crazy! The building, definitely designed to turn heads, has an amusement park vibe to it. Almost like you're entering a Keebler Elf's nightclub. Mind you, due to the Rona I didn't see the inside, but I'm sure it's just as snazzy as the exterior. The burgers? Yup! Solid! The fries? Yup, equally solid! Their claim to fame shakes? Delicious food at a good price and large servings. The menu selection is good - especially the shakes! I always get the pulled chicken meal and it is always consistently delicious. Long story short, you spend about the same on a tray with an entree, two sides, and a drink as you would on a combo at McDonald's, but you get way more food and it's made to order. And usually we get exactly what we order, even with 5-6 shakes in an order. But this week both times we visited one of the 2 shakes ordered has been wrong. Once time we ordered a cherry chocolate chip and got a cherry chocolate, and tonight I ordered a cherry chocolate(since that's what they gave me last time anyway) and they game me a straight chocolate. Food overall was nothing special, but their milkshakes are A1! The burgers and quesadillas were good, not great. The BBQ plate was a little too porky? The meat was tender but it definitely needed more sauce to mask the smell of the meat. The coleslaw that comes with the plate was so good though. I like my coleslaw on the sweeter side, so it def hit the spot. I would def buy a bigger portion of that. Fries, onion rings and corn dog were also good but pretty soggy. Some people like soggy fries, but thought a crispier fry would be better. The hushpuppies were bomb though! Super yummy. THE MILKSHAKES THOUGH. Literally the best thing I've had. Cook Out is my go-to guilty pleasure meal. This location ALWAYS makes my tummy smile, and the environment here is inviting. It's a great place to meet some friends, get a cheap bite to eat, and even get a milkshake for dessert! This Cook Out is one of the only ones around with an eat-in seating area. It has outdoor seating as well, with umbrellas. There's at least 20-30 tables on the inside ranging from 2-seaters to 8-seaters. Fast and great service as well! We were on vacation in the area. I had to do an errand and I stopped by this place out of desperation to use their bathroom. But I stayed for a burger. What a lucky stop it was. I vote this restaurant as having the BEST CHEESEBURGER EVER -the best burgers that I have had in years. Their burgers are simple, old fashioned and loaded with flavor and they blow Five Guys or In n Out off the pedestal that we had placed them on. Cook Out burgers taste like old fashioned charcoal grilled burgers, not burgers done on a gas grill or flat iron. They are generous with toppings and sides which are also delivered perfectly cooked, the right temperature and an explosion of flavor. I was so excited about my accidentally discovery of Cook Out, that I dragged my wife to join me for lunch the next day. She agreed. We ordered take out for our daughter, a life long picky eater, and she endorsed the Cook Out burgers as best in class. But it didn't stop with awesome burgers and sides. The service was with a smile and the delivery was super fast. But the price was under $10 for a deluxe tray of awesomeness. I"m not sure how they do it. Most places in this area are closed by the time I leave work so I am super happy cook out is open till 3am. They are super cheap (under $10). The shakes are super tasty and well made. The burgers are also very tasty and delicious. I always get the Big Double cheddar style tray with onion rings and white cheddar bites. It is only $8 for the big double tray with a milk shake.
