We haven't been back for a few months, so I thought I'd update my review. My daughter loves plain wings. Nothing on them just plain. But she loves them. Tonight I tried the royal Roman. I'll admit I've never had Roman other than one of those little bags From the grocery store. It was exactly what I needed tonight. Had the spicy ramen. I'll admit I'm now covered in it and a hot mess but damn it was good. The little dumplings that came with it were really good and I even ate popcorn chicken that came with it. It was an enough food I could've shared, but I wasn't sharing with anyone. The owner was there tonight and he's always so pleasant. We will definitely keep coming back. read more

Used to come here all the time when they first opened . Was super excited to try their sliders again, but was a bit disappointed to see the quality go down and prices go up quite significantly. I would be open to trying it again or one of the specials because the owner is kind and the food used to be so good. read more

The chicken sandwich was probably the best thing here. Their portion for the fries is nicely big, and the chicken tenders was also yummy. The bad side- it took a long time, honestly I'd recommend calling it first while you're on the way there. It took like 30-40 minutes. The chicken wing looked dark, so I think they 2x or 3x fried it to get that crispness. The combo #1, #4 is good for your buck. The rest is just so-so. Ambience is colorful and service was great. read more

Delicious chicken!! I love their chicken tenders, especially whatever seasoning they use. The chicken is so juicy! For the wings, 6 pieces were enough for me during my lunch break. The owner questioned if I'd be full and told me up front that their wings aren't huge, and I totally appreciated his honesty. Still, it was enough for me. The Korean BBQ flavor was spicy but so tasty. I want to try the original flavor next time. I like that they have complimentary water for customers too. i've been back to chicken roll/flag twice and they have not disappointed! the owners are so sweet and the food is delicious! i popped by to grab something quick and went for combo #1 (2 tenders, waffle fries, and toast) at mildly spicy for $12.50. the breading on the chicken was crispy while the inside was perfectly moist. the seasoning left a pleasant tingle in my mouth and the mayo sauce paired with the food was decadent and rich! the waffle fries were standard, but i wanted to note the service. chicken roll is owned by an older korean couple who are incredibly sweet. the waffle fries were absolutely packed into my order and they do not skimp out on portions; you can tell they put their love into their food. their service takes some time, but it's not a big deal considering you're supporting a small business! chicken roll is a really solid place for good fried chicken and i highly recommend over other spots. please support chicken roll! read more

came on a tuesday around 8pm. it's super bright and clean inside with a good amount of seating. mario took our order and he was super nice, everything took less than 30 mins. 20 piece wings - 5/5 we got mango habanero and soy garlic sauces on the side, both were super yummy and well balanced. the chicken came out hot and really crispy, definitely worth it for the price. large popcorn chicken - 4/5 got sweet and spicy sauce on the side. they give a good amount of chicken, just a little on the dry side since it's white meat but i didn't mind once i added the sauce. waffle fries - 5/5 good flavor, i liked them more than the regular fries! all in all everything was really good, i cant wait to come back to try more! i definitely recommend trying it if you're in the area :) read more

For the price, it's not bad. Unless they made a mistake in my order, the 20 wings (sauce on the side) that we ordered were not battered/breaded, but rather, they tasted like plain frozen supermarket wings that were deep fried. Waffle fries and regular fries are okay. Gangjeong chicken was okay too, again just wish it was actually battered or breaded more. There's no crunch on them. Also, if yall pay for extra sauces, make sure they actually give it to you. We paid for 4 orders of extra sauce and didn't receive any of them. I'll probably just stick to k-town for korean wings. read more

8/10 boneless: it was very tender, the chicken isn't dry, lovely flavor! points taken off because it was on the salty side. Their flavors are phenomenal! My husband and I shared a spicy chicken sandwich and tenders meal and the spicy seasoning/powder they add to the chicken is delicious. Their flavors aren't as spicy as some places but there is a good kick to it! My niece got popcorn chicken with one of their signature sauces, it was very flavorful and delicious. It was our first time there so we took some time to decide what we wanted to order. The man taking our order (and running the whole show in the kitchen) was so helpful and answered all of our questions. He even let us try out some sauces to make sure that we like it before we ordered it. He made sure we got everything we order the way we wanted it. I was yelping for KFC options and found this place by my house and decided to check it out. I placed a an order for 50 wings for a party and decided on soy garlic, kfc and snow cheese. I chose three but I believe they allow you to choose up to 5 flavors. It took about 15 minutes and the order was ready. Soy garlic and KFC are typical flavors that I normally see and have tried and they're pretty good here. I've never tried snow cheese and it didn't disappoint. It has a slightly sweet flavor and was my favorite. Overall tasty wings at good prices. I would definitely come back. read more

So, after looking at the reviews for this place, I decided to try it out. Well, let me tell you the reviews were spot on. Best service I had in a long time; extremely friendly and helpful. The chicken sandwich WOW very juicy and full of flavor. You can order it from mild to extremely hot. The gouza were cooked to perfection. The place is small, nice decoration. Came to dine in for Sunday dinner and it wasn't packed at all. We were able to order at the counter quickly with no line, and our order came within 20 minutes, which isn't a long wait. We tried their 12 piece chicken wings, half soy garlic and half buffalo with some tteokbokki. Overall, I liked how fresh and crispy the wings were. I do wish the chicken wings were a bit larger in size, but that didn't really affect the taste or quality. Our server was friendly and helpful. The food is a really great quality and the service was very good. The inside was so clean and the interior design was really cute. The place is sort of a hole in the wall as it's immediately right off the freeway and sort of easy to miss. The chicken was very crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The flavor for both were really good and not too dry. The dumplings were really crunchy without being oily at all. The tteokbbokki was my favorite however. I have had this dish from a lot of different places but this was probably my favorite I've had to date! The vienna sausages were adorable and it also had an egg (of course), very big fish cakes, and glass noodles (usually they don't have that at other restaurants)! The portion sizes were really generous for how affordable they are priced, especially compared to the other Korean restaurants in Garden Grove. I can't wait to come back and try more at their grand opening. I also saw the owner who was working at the actual restaurant, which makes me appreciate it even more, and got to say hello. read more

This was the worst Korean Fried Chicken I had in 3 years. The chicken was fried way beyond the point of being crispy so that the meat inside was dried out and difficult to chew. It almost seemed like it was leftover chicken from the night before and they were re-frying to sell instead of just making it fresh. Would recommend heavy avoidance read more

The pork belly looked juicy and wasn't completely dry, but for some reason, the more I chewed it, the drier it tasted. I also thought the flavor was pretty mild. I really wanted to like this one, but honestly, I'd probably rather eat the roasted pork belly by itself and dip it in some hoisin sauce. Between the two, #1 is definitely the one I'd come back for. I'd skip #6 next time and try another sandwich instead. The dac biet alone is enough to bring me back!

We were headed toward REI to grab some outdoor chairs and decided to stop at GHOST Sando Shop in Huntington Beach. I've driven past this place plenty of times and never really knew what it was. It also happened to be one of the only places open in the shopping center that early, so we figured, why not? Man, we had no idea what we were missing. We ordered the Melrose for ourselves and a Club for our daughter. Marco took our order and was also the one making the sandwiches. A few minutes after we sat down, he actually walked over and asked me, "Are you sure you want the pepperoncini and tomato on the Club?" My first thought was basically, uhhh... yeah, of course I do! Then it clicked. The Club was for our daughter. Marco had remembered that from our conversation when we ordered and knew that a lot of kids probably aren't exactly excited about pepperoncini and tomatoes. Meanwhile, Dad over here completely forgot to ask for them off. That might seem like such a small thing, but THAT is customer service. Marco wasn't just taking an order, collecting payment, and moving on to the next customer. He was actually paying attention. He remembered who the sandwich was for and took the extra few seconds to come over and double check before making it. Good looking out, Marco. Seriously. And that wasn't the only interaction we had with him. Marco was incredibly friendly from the moment we walked in. He talked with us, answered questions, and even gave us suggestions on other sandwiches we should try the next time we come back. Nothing felt forced or scripted. It was just genuine conversation from someone who seemed to actually care whether we enjoyed our experience. There were only two guys working while we were there, yet everything was running smoothly. The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was relaxed, the bright green interior gives the place its own personality, and there's plenty of seating inside along with a really nice outdoor patio area. And most importantly, the sandwiches were GOOD. The Melrose was a great first choice, and Melody enjoyed her Club, thankfully without Dad accidentally loading it up with pepperoncini. We also grabbed some Calypso lemonades, which went perfectly with everything. We originally stopped here simply because it was open and convenient. Now it's somewhere we'll intentionally come back to. There are thousands of places where you can buy a sandwich. What makes you remember a restaurant is usually the people behind the counter. Marco made us remember GHOST. Excellent food, clean restaurant, great atmosphere, and genuinely outstanding customer service. We'll definitely be back, and next time, Marco, we're taking you up on those recommendations.
