First time here, we read many good reviews and want to check out this local Japanese Sushi restaurant near our home. We came here to try their AYCE menu and their Soparo Beer for $2.00. Overall, the service is good and the Sushi selection is good too. I would come back again.

This Restaurant Is Located On Euclid & Chapman. The Small Plaza (Very Limited Parking) Next To Los Cotijas Taco Shop. It Looks Like It Has Been Under New Management For Several Months. I Placed A Delivery Order Through InstaCart. I Don't Know How Long It Will Last, But Their Special Right Now Through The App (For Online Orders) Is BOGO (Buy One, Get One Free) On Selected Cut Rolls & Lunch Plates. Everything I Tried Was Fresh & Pretty Good!

Great, fresh sushi in a quiet little plaza. Can't wait to be back and try their AYCE! Welcoming staff and always love going here for our to go sushi as well.

The restaurant is nice and well decorated. The staff are nice and helpful. We tried several dishes and my favorite were fresh wasabi and isa geso (squid legs). The fresh wasabi is highly recommended if you like its strong flavor and aftertaste. I was not very impressed with the remaining dishes. The sashimi were ok but the texture was a little cold and chewy (to me) like it was not defrosted enough for sashimi. But you can't beat 99 cents beer. So if you are here for the beer, everything else is good for that promotion :)

The original owner is back after spending some time making sushi elsewhere, and you can really feel the difference. He returned to the place where he first started, and you can tell he's committed to making it even better -- he's even introduced all‑you‑can‑eat sushi. Take advantage of his effort to elevate this place for customers, because the passion really shows. We went back recently, and the food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. The sushi tastes clean and balanced, and every dish feels thoughtfully made. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. It's a casual spot, but the food is reliable and satisfying every time. It's great to see the original owner back and pouring his heart into the restaurant again.

This little place is surrounded by other busy businesses, so parking can be a bit of an issue. When you walk inside this place just feels comforting. Fairly sizeable, the art is great. I came in during soft opening, so there were some great deals. 99 cent Sapporo on draft and they're actually a decent size for the price tag. Each sushi roll have 5 pieces instead of the usual 8, so that it's a good, "just enough" of a roll. They do have some rolls under 10 dollars. We did order the Sensual Pleasure roll, which was actually still a decent size for a 5 piece roll. It was actually really good. We ordered both the yellowtail and the salmon collar, those were basically melt in your mouth and the skin were nice and crispy. Baked Mussels are a must for me, they're and these ones don't disappoint. The bento box was $20, but it came with so much. I got the Chicken Karaage, beef teriyaki, and the donkatsu. The salad on it had that amazing dressing on it, and of course it had rice. It's very much worth the price, and great for those who don't like fish! We also wanted to try the tonkatsu ramen. The broth was rich and creamy, the noodles had that perfect bounce. The chashu was tender and complemented the ramen. Last we ordered the sashimi plate. The fish was fresh and delicious. Now they offered their spicy sauce, which I tried. I love me some hot sauce, this was actually a bit warm. It was really good with the sashimi though! The service was great, the waiter was very helpful throughout the entire service. And everything was amazing. I do recommend it, it's like a 10 minute drive from Disneyland so if you want sushi, try this place out!

$1 draft beer! Special rolls with 4-5 pieces, all from $7 to $10. Even better--sushi starting at $2. Is this really 2025... even 2026 pricing? Yes--it is. And it's in Orange County. Hana Maru runs the show with top-quality ingredients at insane value (seriously, the value is unbeatable). Beyond their signature rolls and $1 draft beer, my must-try recommendations: Salmon Madness Combo -- $20 10 pieces of salmon belly Sushi Sampler -- $15 7 pieces, only about $2 per piece Looking for something more luxurious? You can't go wrong with sweet shrimp or sea urchin. The sea urchin sushi comes with 7 pieces--super satisfying. Your top place to try in the new year, without destroying your wallet after the holidays. IG: socalhkfoodies

Went here with my cousin since he found out that they have a promotion with $.99/pint. He got excited. The place is nice, clean, big and spacious. Parking is easy but small so 1st comes 1st serves. Menu is varies and well options. Service is friendly and nice plus very attentive. The foods are good, well presented, tasty, good portion, and with reasonable price. Overall we had a good time here with good foods and cheap beer, and with great service.

99 cent Sapporo on draft for their soft opening/grand opening

We had dinner here the other night. Parking can be an issue since it is small and there are several businesses that share the same parking lot. The restaurant is simple and charming. They are in a soft opening phase and offering some great deals that will be part of their grand opening. The grand opening date has not been announced as of this review. They have 99 cent Sapporo on draft. They also have rolls under $10. The rolls are 5 pieces instead of the usual 8 pieces at other locations but the rolls are just as large. We got both the salmon and yellowtail collar. Both were large with crispy skin. The fish itself was fatty and moist. Just delicious fish collars. We also got baked mussels which were flavorful and delicious. The bento box is $20 and has a lot of options. We got beef teriyaki, donkatsu and chicken karaage. All were delicious and large portions. The tonkotsu ramen is only $12. The noodles were light and bouncy. The dashi was rich and creamy. We also got a sashimi plate. The sashimi was thick cut and absolutely delicious. Distance close to Disneyland with great service and wonderful food will make HanaMaru Sushi a great place to eat.

Not sure why there's so many negative reviews regarding the new management, because I think it's even better! I got the salmon madness & 3pick bento - both being $20 each. The salmon was DELICIOUS and tasted so good, I would get it everytime. The bento box is very filling as you can pick 3 items. The item size are pretty good sized so I highly recommend getting it if you're looking for a good lunch. The ambiance is very cozy and the server & chef was super nice! Parking is a bit tight due to the area but I had room to park

Hana Maru is a Japanese restaurant serves amazing sushi rolls, ramen, and appetizers. They have great discounts and reasonable prices. The Sapporo is $.99 all day. All their 5 piece sushi rolls are under $10. The ramen is only $12 and is packed with 2 thick cut pork chashu. With a focus on fresh ingredients and authentic flavors, Hana Maru provides a casual dining experience for customers seeking Japanese cuisine. Promo: $.99 Sapporo all day Rolls 5 pieces are under $10 What I got: -soft shell crab $11 -salmon collar $7 -yellowtail collar $8 -salmon teriyaki $16 -spicy tonkotsu ramen $12 -chicken teriyaki $13 -Sunkist roll $8 -triples $8

Came here on a Wednesday night around 7pm in a party of 4 and it was not crowded at all, we got seated immediately. We ordered: the 911 roll, two california rolls, baked salmon roll, triple s roll, rainbow roll, dragon roll, crunchy roll, white truffle salmon, and sashimi salad. The food was all so good and at the end, the owner(?) gave us a complementary yellowtail carpaccio! We were pleasantly surprised and thankful for this. He always came to check back on us which we appreciated. My friends also got some beer which they enjoyed. Parking is a bit rough, so we parked in the next plaza over. The restaurant is located in a very tiny strip mall with only a few stores next to it. Inside was neat and nicely decorated. I haven't been here before the new management/ownership, but I was pretty happy with our experience. I'll definitely be coming back!

Went to Hana Maru for the first time during my lunch break. I ordered the Philadelphia Roll, Sensual Pleasure Roll, Aloha Roll, and the Salmon Collar since they did not have the yellowtail collar available. Overall, the sushi itself was average. Nothing really stood out flavor-wise, but the Salmon Collar was definitely the highlight of the meal. I would come back just for that. One thing that caught me off guard was the portion pricing. The menu lists rolls as 6 pieces, but the server asked if I wanted 6 or 8 pieces and I chose the larger portion. When the bill came, I realized the price was essentially doubled. If I had known that beforehand, I probably would have just ordered two rolls for the same price and gotten more variety. Service was a little slow. I was the only person in the restaurant at the time, but it still took a while for the server to initially come over, and there was a long gap before I saw her again. She seemed like she might be new, so that could have played a role. The ambiance itself was nice though. The restaurant was clean, organized, and had a pleasant atmosphere for a casual lunch. I was seated at the sushi bar and the chef did not acknowledge me at all until the food was handed over, which made the experience feel a little impersonal. Overall, the place was okay. Not a bad lunch spot, but not somewhere I am rushing back to either. The Salmon Collar is definitely worth ordering if you stop by.

Their menu offers a great range of premium beef, pork, chicken, seafood, and other Japanese BBQ favorites, with plenty of options to keep the table trying something different throughout the meal. Every cut we tried was flavorful, tender, and beautifully prepared, and honestly, the food itself was not the issue at all--it was amazing. Service: 0/5 We came to Himizu to celebrate our engagement with family, so unfortunately, the service we received made the experience especially disappointing. Our waiter, Ryan, served us from approximately 7 PM to 9 PM, and throughout the meal he was rarely attentive; despite the restaurant having only about five tables occupied and one runner, our grill was changed only once--and only after we asked. When we asked about our additional meat after waiting approximately 20 minutes, we were concerned because we were already working within the restaurant's 90-minute dining window. Instead of simply acknowledging the concern, Ryan appeared visibly irritated that we were asking. What happened next was especially disappointing: he brought the meat to our table roughly and shoved the plates onto the table and into my plate, causing sauces to spill onto my attire. There was absolutely no reason for that level of aggression or carelessness, especially when we were simply asking about food that had been delayed. Vibe: 2/5 This one hurts because my first experience here was completely different. I had an amazing waiter the first time, and that experience was good enough that I came back another 2-3 times and genuinely wanted to continue recommending this place. Unfortunately, this experience made me feel unwelcome and has me second-guessing whether I would bring new people here again. Pictured is what was knocked and spilled my sauce tray over me The overall experience is also worth considering when looking at the price. We spent approximately $350 for the premium menu and sake, around $87 per person, so when you're spending that much, you expect the food AND the hospitality to match. Food: amazing. Staff interaction: horrible. Price: significant. Experience: disappointing. So my question is: Would you come back to an establishment with amazing food and a beautiful experience in the past, but where the service is this poor--especially when you're paying a premium price? For me, great food can bring me through the door once, but great service is what makes me want to come back.

The sashimi was delicious--nice and thick-cut, fresh-tasting, and had a good chew to it. Our favorite cuts were definitely the belly cuts, as it is a little fattier. I also noticed that they seem to rotate through some of their appetizers and rolls, as the appetizer section has changed compared to the last few times I've been here.
