The food was good, but the service was really awkward. I had placed an online order to pick up and then go back to work. When I showed up at the time the website told me the girl was so confused and looked like she knew nothing. I asked her I was picking up an online order and then proceeded to tell me that she did not see my online order and that it wasn't ready at all. In my opinion I found that unprofessional because I had placed the order 30 minutes before going to pick up. If you're doing an online order PLEASE DON'T . When I received my order to go things I ordered were still missing, but I was already to late to my work, so I just left. Glad we found this place and it's super close to the home. Ordered 4 items togo and everything was still fresh, hot, and crispy when I got home. 10 pc soy garlic wings were crispy and hot. The wings were a good size and weren't insanely gmo looking huge. The soy garlic was well flavored and not overpowering. 5/5 Spicy Baldak Ramen came in a big proportion! The ramen had noodles were larger and felt homemade. They definitely were not the packaged shin ramyun. Flavor was spicy and then noodles tasted like pasta. The slice of cheese on top was a nice touch. 5/5 for sure! Waffle fries also came in a big proportion. They were extra crispy. Nothing crazy about the fries they're pretty much your regular restaurant seasoned type fries to fill your belly. 3/5 Spicy Tteokbbokki came in a big bowl. They were soft and not chewy. The chicken wings are EXTREMELY crispy! I ordered garlic soy sauce and the cheese one. My wife is very picky but this time she took the whole garlic soy sauce box for herself! ughh... Got 20 piece soy hot/soy garlic wings for about $25, a little pricey but still competitive with big chains like BWW and Wingstop. Owner was friendly and came out to speak to me while I was waiting for my food (~15 min). He told me of a really good promotion going around the month of July 2023: 11AM-12PM ONLY 20 piece wings for $11 every day of July. I was 30 minutes too late today (came at 12:30PM) to be eligible for the promo, but will be back for the promo for sure. Also made sure to let me know of a BOGO (buy one get one free) deal of anything over $10 going on for July 4th. Nice, clean, and bright interior, but did not dine in today. read more

Absolutely hands down the most underrated Korean fried chicken place around the Garden Grove area. I ordered a 10pc soy garlic wings for takeout, and it was ready in about 20-25 minutes. Customer service was excellent, I didn't get his name but whoever served me today (Tuesday) around 8:30pm was an awesome vibe! He mentioned that the owner had told him to put a certain amount of garlic in the sauce (probably because of a prior review mentioning lacking garlic flavor) but he was upfront with me and told me that he dialed down the garlic for my order because he thought it was too much. I love garlic, but I just really appreciated his transparency and careful thought in making that decision, and not just blindly following orders without thinking of the customer. Wings were juicy and crispy, not crunchy. I don't mean this as a bad thing at all because a crispy wing is just as good as a crunchy one. They were well coated with the sauce, which was sweet, umami, and garlicky. The total for 10pcs was about $14, which is insane pricing compared to other places charging $16-18 for their 10pcs. Given the quality of their food, I'm definitely going to come back here when I'm craving Korean fried chicken. Will also have to try their Nashville chicken! read more

I went to Chick flag for the first time today. The man working today was very polite and answered all of my questions. I ordered the #2 combo, 10 piece mango habanero wings, and a large soy garlic popcorn chicken. Everything was freakin delicious. Will definitely come back again. Edit: I told the guy working that I had about a 10-15 drive home and he put the sauce and Cole slaw in a separate container so my sandwich wouldn't get soggy by the time I got home. Popcorn chicken was okay. Not very flavorful at all without the sauce. The Katsu combo was ok, they didn't have the curry sauce for it but they gave us option to put other sauce on the Katsu. Again, Katsu had no flavor at all without the sauce. It seems they do not season the meat. Also for the kimchi fried rice. The food portion was small for the price they charge. It's a tiny place with about 5 tables but could seat up to 8 per table. Would I come back again probably not. read more

Rarely do I go out to eat, but want to support local business best as I can and this is one of the that works for me. Today was my third time here and brought my adult son with me. He loves Nashville hot chicken and he was pleasantly surprised. The chicken was definitely hot enough for him and he likes it HOT. VERY HOT. I had the medium that had a nice definite bite to it. New spot around the corner from my daughter's high school. Decided to pop in based on the yelp reviews. It holds true at 4ish. The interior is clean and neat and kinda hip. Very comfy. Provides free water cups and water jugs. The service was good, but the cashier couldn't speak English great, but we figured it out by pointing at menu and pics on TV screen of the menu. Don't get me wrong, we were able to communicate and she was super nice and smiled and wanted to be helpful..but I was saying dumpling and I think on menu was mandu but they didn't have any that day...no biggie. As for the food...it was great! Tteokbokki was great according to my daughter and bestie. The wings, waffle fries and hot chicken sandwich were super tasty and moist. The frying was perfect. All the fried food was perfectly done and crisp outside but super moist inside. Only reason for 4 star is I guess perfection takes time. One of the best Korean fried chicken. Its flavorful and delicious. It's a mom and pop shop with the nicest people working there. Their ttuekbokki is also really delicious and tender and not rubbery. We drive all the way from Tustin just to grab some wings, fries and noodles. The parking is small but worth it. I go here often after work and enjoy the food there. They got a decent number of options and they add new items every now and then. I also like spicy food so I usually get some of the higher levels of spice. Something that I like the most is that you can substitutes on a the combos so I can get coleslaw instead of shrimp since I am allergic to shrimp. They got good service since it seems like only two people work here at a time. Never had any issues getting food in like 10 to 15 minutes. A clean hole in the wall place with nice Korean music, mainly K-pop. The owner is very nice too, and cooks very well even with his handy cap. Hope to go back soon.
