It's been a little bit since I've tried a new restaurant lately and when I recall this new spot opening up recently and it was 15 mins from where we lived, it was an easy decision. It's essentially right across the street from the Sams Club in Chesapeake in a small shopping center. When we first walked up on a Saturday around 7PM, there was a sign that said they were out of chicken... we were sooo looking forward to it! As we were about to walk away, one of the customers walking our stated that they had run out of every chicken meal item, but the chicken wings were still available so we decided to give them a shot! Waited about 5 to 10 minutes for our food to come out. It appeared that half the patrons dined in while the other half did take out. I would consider this place more of a fast casual and there is no full dining service here. The space itself isn't too big and has about 10 or so tables that could seat about 20 to 25 people. We got a medium order of soy garlic chicken and potato croquettes. The chicken was super crispy and fried to perfection and the flavor of soy garlic was on point! The croquettes were tasty but not something I would get again. Although the chicken was very good, I still prefer the KFC at CM Chicken. Just wow! Love the ambiance as soon as you step into the restaurant. It's a little different that there's no one greeting you when you enter but we can all adapt. I literally wanted to try everything on the menu, but I stuck with the spicy garlic soy wings, the bulgogi wrap, and a banana milk tea to drank. The wings weren't spicy, not even a kick, but it was still delicious and surrounded with flavor. The bulgogi wrap was completely packed like a chipotle burrito, and the banana milk tea was on point, but a little on the sweet side. Surprisingly we didn't have to wait long to be served, even with a long line that never ended. Again, it is so packed in there that we had to grab a table as soon as we got in otherwise we'd be standing waiting for our food. This place is tucked away right by the busy interstate ramp so I would never of seen it if not for Instagram. I brought the kiddos and Dad to try this place and the food was so good. You can tell the sandwiches are put together after you order it. I like how the menu isn't huge cause you know they are focusing on making the few as great as possible. We got one of each of the chicken sandwiches with the fries and drink combo, sampled the wings and the tako ball appetizer. So good! It almost felt like we were eating in some shop in NOVA or NYC. The seating area isn't huge and has a few tables. It can get a bit noisy, but it looked like the take out aspect was pretty brisk. Dam, the chicken sandwich was good. You have to get the premium version with all the fantastic toppings. Nothing overpowered each other rather complimented the chicken. It's about 6 flavors of chicken sandwiches and i chooses the spicy soy garlic. Fries were small amount but they were think and crispy so I was satisfied. Various forms of lemonade that was all very tasty and delicious. Seating is very limited to about 18 people total at this location. Everything is order via kiosk inside and delivers quick. This place is a hidden gem that everyone should try at least once. With how expensive everywhere is getting nowadays you get a giant sandwich that is very high quality for a fair price. The fries are really good too if you eat them fresh. My wife and I always order ahead through toast, but the inside and small and cozy. There are touch screen computer to order on, but an employee will help if needed. I almost always order the chicken katsu sandwhich as is, it seems like a lot on there, but trust the system. All of the flavors blend so well and the chicken is so juicy. The hardest part about this sandwich is how big it is, sometimes it can be hard to eat lol. My wife usually gets the sweet and savory chicken sandwich, but she had tried the spicy version and recommends it also. I also prefer the sweet and savory sandwich. There are TV screens for menus and ordering kiosks if you're anti social lol. The staff was super friendly and accommodating if you had any questions as well. We ordered the soy garlic wings, Katsu chicken sandwich, and a strawberry lemonade. T Our food came out fairly quickly and hot and fresh. Man, the Korean fried chicken was on point! It had a superb soy garlic flavor while keeping it crunchy and moist. The Katsu Chicken sandwich was good as well but it was nothing special. The chicken filet was a huge portion but it was lacking in flavor with the Katsu sauce saving it. I also liked the crunchy cabbage in the sandwich which gave it a texture boost. The strawberry lemonade was on the sweet side but it complemented the savory wings and sandwich. I can only give full stars but this place is a 4.8/5 stars if I can be honest.
