I like chicken livers. sorry for grossing out those who don't eat organ meats. It took 8 or 9 minutes for them to be cooked fresh. They were hot and did NOT have any excessive flavor from the cooking oil. These were probably the best chicken livers I have had in the last couple of years. My son was dying to get chicken here because they have livers and gizzards. So we bought some chicken and bought him his livers and gizzards. I thought the chicken tenders that I had were fine and I thought that the corn of the cob just needed some seasoning and butter and it would have been just fine. My husband got the jalapeno poppers and really liked them and my son got fried pickles which were delicious. I also got some mashed potatoes which I didn't think they had a whole lot of flavor to them. My son says they have some type of seasoning that he had requested but they forgot to give him but it's supposed to be really good. read more

My daughter & I ordered at the drive-thru on 11/01/2023 at 7:42pm. First of all, the gentleman on the other end of the speaker was so joyful! One of the most poorly run restaurants. Definitely the worst Chicken Express I've ever been to. I've given them many chances to get it right but every time they get something wrong. This last time it was a policy change about accepting their coupon that comes in a monthly flyer. Plus they got all of our sides wrong. The chicken was cold and rubbery. 4 piece chicken strip meals were more like 3.5 piece. Smallest pieces of Chicken. I didn't feel like driving 30 minutes round trip to go get it corrected. I have come here several times and have had exceptional experiences each time. This time I went through the drive through with my dog and when we pulled up to the window. I was asked if I wanted a treat for my dog. He loved the treat. Companies that are pet friendly are 5 stars in my book. Food is good too. Their mashed potatoes and gravy are the bomb. A couple of my friends dragged me here, saying it was a staple during their high school years. I was very unsure at first, but after that first bite...My God. This place is the bomb. The decor inside is, well...disgusting. Laminated counters, odd colored tiles, and everything seems to be covered in a yellow/brown tint... That being said, the workers here are extremely nice, even if they sometimes seem a bit apathetic. The food here is beyond words. The chicken is so flavorful and juicy, I was almost speechless. Toss on some Serendipity seasoning and dip it in some gravy and it is honestly one of the most satisfying meals you will ever have. LOVE. read more

I have lived in Keller for years I love this town BUT I have ALWAYS boycotted this Chicken Express for so many reasons. I am a true southerner. From family to Georgia to Louisiana on to Texas, fried food flows through my veins (heart attack included). The chicken tastes as if it's sat under a heat lamp for two days. As for the service? It's appalling. I've seen better service at the Krogers down the road, and that's saying something. For those who don't know, this Chicken Express ACTUALLY ust to have a speaker box outside. Management is so un-responsible they haven't decided it's a necessity. Instead they replaced it with people running out to the cars to take your order. Which would be fine if half the time the staff didn't seem to have their head up their ass. They even tried taking my order by memory. I live really close to this place and surprisingly I still see people there. Which makes me think that the people who enjoy this food have NO taste. Cheap and good. I've driven by these places and always been curious about them. This one is located next door to a Popeye's Chicken, and down the street from Cane's chicken. So, there's competition here for chicken. Firstly, their sign out front reads "Chicken Express - try our Catfish!". This seems odd that a place specifically called Express CHICKEN is advertising their catfish. Well, putting that aside I went in for lunch. I got the number 1 combo which was 4 fried chicken strips, a side (I chose cheese sticks because I'm a sucker for them) and a roll or biscuit. And a drink. It came to like 6 bucks which was surprising and cheap. AND the chicken strips are HUGE. After TWO I was full. But because I was in a mood I ate all 4! They're BIG - and they're REAL - not that faux-chicken stuff that McDs and Wendy's uses in their cheap patties - this is the real deal. Lightly breaded and fried - not bad. Not too heavy on the breading - lotta meat. They give you a thing of white gravy which was watery but good for dipping. It was all good. The cheese sticks - all two of them - were also fine. The biscuit is also really good. For the money, you get a lot of food. I was stuffed afterwards. And I love chicken so - chances are I'll be back - if you can pull me away from Popeye's that is, their spicy chicken just gets me every time!!! read more

Good food but horrible customer service. This location has the worst customer service of any Chicken Express that we've been to. Our last trip there was no different as three cars left the drive thru. My wife and I stayed in line and eventually paid for our order, but we had a coupon and also wanted to add a sweet tea, and the young girl waiting on us through a fit and complained that she would have to cancel the order and ring it up again. The manager got involved and we eventually paid and went home. We called the manager to advise him that his location has bad customer service and also told him about our experience, but he chalked it up to 'young kids' and then told us to come back in for a 25% discount on our next order. After spending $65 she stated it will be $1.05 for 3, wait, what? I asked to speak to a manager, she stated I'm it, I asked her name, I don't have to tell you, I asked to speak to the boss, "the boss isn't here, okay what's your boss' name, "I don't have to tell you, so spending $65 on food, waiting 25mins for "fresh" tenders/the whole meal & then want to charge 35cents for honey mustard, where is the customer service, phone number on receipt is incorrect, contacted corporate office who gave incorrect contact info for manager/name/phone number, finally got the correct phone number to call the location and ask to speak to a Manager/Boss/Owner and get Kylie who stated yes I helped you last night, who stated I don't have to tell you anyone's name or number & I will charge for honey mustard no matter how much you spent, this location has terrible customer service, the "Manager" is disgusting, she continued to argue with me infront of a man & 2 kids, totally disrespectful & I will never recommend or continue to support Chicken Express, at any location. Not our normal Chicken Express for picking up dinner but this was the ONLY location in Keller open for business on December 21 as the location on Beach St was closed for their employee Christmas party & the location on Timberland was closed as well so we drove to the Keller Pkwy location. We ordered their special for $26.99 which consisted of 20 tenders, 2 family sides, biscuits & gallon of tea & we added in a couple of other family sides. While sitting at the window waiting for our food, we watched as an employee filled up the tea in the jug, pushed on bottle to push the foam to the top & BLEW it off the top of the jug!!! Of course we declined the gallon of tea as this is definitely a health violation! We checked our order before leaving the parking lot & was missing part of the order. We drove around, parked & went inside to get the rest of our order. We got home to have dinner & found the family sides not filled to the top of the container items we had added was regular size instead family size I had paid for.
