It was indeed A-OK (yelp three star definition). I was tempted to drop a star as there was a funky smell at the counter, but the taco was OK, generously filled (+ one star for that), so I'll go 3 stars. I had two cheap tacos @ $1.59 each, though there is quite a bit of variety on the menu. Only one type of hot sauce, in the little packets, but it was OK (not quite hot enough for me, but OK). It was good enough that I'll likely come back next time I get the craving, and especially since the Taco Bell is gone (I read the location is going to be a new Starbucks, with a drive through). My wife absolutely loves this place so for one reason or another I eat here more than I want to. But I will say this, the service has gotten better AND I never get a broken taco. I dont know what it is about their tacos but they never break and they taste good. The burritos are above average too! It is slowly becoming my mexican fast food go to. Gotta lot to say here, there are some good employees and some bad employees and some that (SHOULD NOT) have a job let alone a manager position, like the short thick brunette that usually works dayshift, it's unacceptable for an employee to smoke weed out in there car on their break and would most likely result in termination, but for a manager to do that, is just really sad and is poor management but most of all leadership, this place has managers that would rather go home early or take a extended smoke break to get high, rather than bettering the business or stepping up to help their employees when they are struggling, but best of all, the main pans that the meat and beans get cooked in aren't washed out correctly by the night shift cook so there are constantly grease stains in the main pans an also the dishes the food is put in for the hot line are always dirty, no wonder my stomach always hurt an gave me the bubble guts, I'd steer clear of this place folks. read more

I have no idea how this place survives. We just moved here and had never heard of Taco Casa before. Decided to give it a chance. Went through the drive thru, which took 30 mins. They were definitely short staffed for a Friday evening dinner rush. We ordered several tacos, a super burrito, a combo burrito, and a chilada. The order came out correctly but my God, it was really bland. So so so bland that my two year old thought it was delicious. His palate consists of Cheerios and Ritz crackers, so that gives you an idea of how plain the food tastes. We do not plan to go here again. read more

I'm writing this review just to spread the new found joy I have discovered at my local Taco Casa...and that I see no one has written a review on this particular location. I must admit, I have lived in the Keller for over seven years and I never paid any mind to this fine establishment. Maybe it's due to the generic sounding name or the diminutive store front signage/look. From the outside, it looks like it was number of things before it became Taco Casa. In other words, nothing about it looks very special. But I am glad that I got over my pre-conceived notions of this place along with some nudging from some friends and some good reviews on Yelp. :) I have been preconditioned to go to the more well known establishments when I want a quick and fast Mexican fix. I know the price point, measure of quality, and, more importantly, this size of each of my go-to items. It's a safe road, but it is paved with the expectation of satisfaction. I entered Taco Casa with more money than usual just in case I need to buy more items in order to be satisfied. Upon entering, I noticed that the sizes were pretty close, if not slightly bigger, than the bigger chains. The prices were on par as well. The menu is nothing spectacular, in fact, they seem to have a more limited menu. They serve the standard "American" Mexican food: tacos, enchiladas, burritos, tostadas, etc. Despite the variety everything is good! Fresh was the word that I read multiple from Yelpers about Taco Casa and this term holds true. From the ground beef to the crispy corn tortillas, the flavors were savory and full of flavor. I order two regular tacos and the "Super" Tostada and it was more than enough food! The portions were ample and they are very liberal with the cheese. The salsa, though pre-packaged, was a good compliment and provided a little kick. Overall, I think Taco Casa will be my new go-to for my fast food Mexican fix. I love taco casa, there tacos are good, inexpensive and they seem to use real meat and fresh real cheese unlike other taco spots that use that cheese that has an unpleasant white coating on it. In the taco realm, taco casa beats taco bell, bueno and cabana ,though their menu is not as extensive I would choose TC over other taco spots any day. read more

I've seen a few "Taco Casa's" around and always been curious about them. I tried it today for lunch, and it's pretty good. Just comparing their normal tacos, they load them up with lettuce and cheese. I've found a few places around here that skimp on cheese but not this place! They're pretty good too - the meat doesn't taste "fake" like taco bell. Their hot sauce helps - I recommend using it! I also had a "chilada" which I've never heard of. It's just a soft taco with red sauce around it in a tray. It's also LOADED with cheese on top. But - it's SUPER salty!! And this is coming from a guy who loves salt! I mean, I put salt on my salt, I love it so much! But this was too much - kind of a turn off despite the overly-abundant cheese. I also had a "chili burger" - never heard of that before either. It's a taco in a hamburger bun. Not bad, actually but certainly not chili. It was OK but not nearly as flavorful as the name led me to believe. But all in all, it fills you up and it's a nice change of pace from the other fast food places out there. I'll probably go again. read more

I eat here often, its a good value. The thing that bothered me is that no one was wearing glove like they do at all other Taco Casa's I have visited.
