My teenage son LOVES chicken tenders and he found this place and so here we came.... I do not standardly rate anywhere this low however the food was completely inedible. I'm a salt lover but honestly this was so salty I could not eat it. The crust stays on very well which typically I'd be impressed with but I could not (with a fork and knife) get it off of any one bite to be able to eat this chicken. The fries are covered in the same seasoning and so other than pickles (which don't really help) you have zero break in salt. The restaurant itself is in a perfect place to have a busy atmosphere. We are outside and it was really peaceful. Parking is a task as they have HEB right in the lot with other great places to eat. There is no service here as it is more of order and wait at the counter but as long as it's not a busy day that's is no worry. Overall I think it is clear I will not be back. read more

I came on a weekday night so wasn't very busy. I got the Dave's #3: Slider/Tender/Fries and ordered an extra tender and mac & cheese. The chicken and fries were really good but the mac & cheese was ok. I got the Dave's #3 on "Hot" and the extra tender "Extra Hot" on the spice level. The hot was a good level of spiciness but the Extra Hot definitely had a kick. I have a pretty high spice tolerance but the Extra Hot did have me sweating a bit . Overall, I enjoyed my visit with it being my first time trying it. I would go again. read more

Love some good fried chicken and I've been wanting to try this new place around the corner from our house. We've heard so many good things about Dave's Hot Chicken and it was time to give it a shot for ourselves. Picked a Saturday morning and every other restaurant was packed with lines out the doors. Don't was nice to walk in to Dave's and find there were a few tables open and it was order at the counter. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Shows their training was specific to be helpful and attentive. The menu is well laid out on the wall and easy to read too! We opted for the two strip combo meal. It came with two sides and we chose fries with Mac n' cheese. Sat down and was impressed all the tables were clean and liked the layout of the dining room. Wow ! When they delivered my food I was blown away at the size of those chicken strips on the two sliders. Then I took a bite. So juicy and loved the crispy outside texture. I don't like real hot so the mild spice was perfect for me. My wife had the medium and said she could have easily bumped up to the hot spice level. She's likes hot. The fries were crunchy and the seasoning was awesome! We will be back for sure!! read more

This is popular? I've been waiting years to get a Dave's Hot Chicken just for it to taste like nothing. Ordered $70 worth of food and the chicken had no flavor, the spices do not have flavor either. There is absolutely no spiciness to their chicken. The sauce would be better if the chicken had some sort of seasoning. The coleslaw is also bland. I do not know if I went on a bad day but everything was bland. The pickles wasn't sour enough either. Something is wrong with this place. The chicken was juicy tho, but it was just dry rub that tastes cajun without the spiciness. Chicken tenders were huge, good portion. Got hot and medium: tastes the same, even milder than mild, a baby can eat it. I wonder what the reaper would taste like if hot is equal to plain chicken. Chicken sliders were good size, plump chicken and soft small buns, the coleslaw was okay, it was just creamy which did not help enhance the flavor of the chicken. After a few bites it tastes like I was just eating air and I got tired of it. The french fries are good, you can also substitute the fries for another side. Got to try both fries and mac and cheese, they were both good. Kinda disappointed, but I will come back to try the Extra Hot and Reaper cause Hot is absolutely nothing. This was my 1st experience with a Dave's Hot Chicken ever so I was super excited about trying it. We ordered 2 chicken tenders (1 mild, 1 medium) and 2 sliders (1 hot, 1 extra hot). I was shocked at the size of the chicken. Everything was massive. I thought that surely there was no way that these things were going to be juicy, but boy was I wrong. They were honestly some of the best chicken I've had in a long time. The spice level descriptions were pretty accurate, with the mild having a sweeter taste to it, but in general they were all great. It's a cayenne based rub, where it appears you get more with the spicier you go, but it I thought the Hot and Extra Hot were great. My wife and I may split a meal next time as it really was a lot of food. The menu & app are well designed and you can pretty much mix and match any combo of chicken you want to get the meal you want. I ordered online and the food was ready slightly before the pickup time which was great. The staff was very nice, helpful, and quick. The restaurant itself was surprisingly small, only about 12 tables inside BUT, they have a large patio that they share with Cava, so on a nice day, sitting outside is definitely the way to go. Parking is a bit of a nightmare with all of the new places around there, so you may have to park in another lot and walk over. We will definitely be back time and time again. This just opened a couple of days ago. They have chicken tenders by itself and sliders. They offer different combo. We tried the tenders and sliders and chose medium spice. It was not that spicy so it was good. The slider is just the bread with the tender inside. They have around 11-12 tables inside and ample seating outside. I mean who knew we needed two hot delicious sliders from Dave's Hot Chicken to satisfy our hunger. As we entered we were greeted with vibrant lights and decor and a hello from the staff. The extra hot definitely has a little heat compared to the hot. The slaw really as some extra flavor to the sandwich. The fries pair well with the Dave's sauce and pickles . It isn't sauced it is a dry rub and chicken appears to be air fried and not deep fried. Dry run was horrible dry and flacky too much either curry or Chipotle flavor. Sauce was chilpolte overload and no ranch offered. It was disappointing. I won't be back. read more

I love this chicken especially the cauliflower everything is great! The employees were very nice and helpful. We go back at least once a week. The only thing I wished they had is a drive through window or pickup for your orders. The location is very heavy with traffic and always take someone with you to get your order. But overall a great place and they have a nice dining area if you want to eat there. read more

We've been to other locations where we had a better experience in the quantity and quality of the cauliflower options. Portions have only been small here. I was also skeptical getting a meal that comes with two tenders however I was very surprised it was a generous portion size, everything was cooked/seasoned well. Would argue this is one of the better chicken options in the area next to Cane's and chicken Express. Wish there were more flavors to choose from. The manager Cesar was pretty much useless, I was told by their customer service to come speak to someone at this location who would "make it right" but he said he had never seen anything like that before, and basically just said he couldn't do anything. Came in at 9pm during their grand opening after work, amazing service! Great team, line out the door when i came in, waited in line maybe 5 minutes, waited for my food no more than 8! To be as busy as they were I 100% expected to wait well over 20 minutes, this team did great!!!!
