I changed my mind as this place is one of the best restaurants ever there food is great and I felt my ranking was too low I love this place

Chicken Fried Steak, broccoli cheese, mixed vegetables, corn cob, white gravy, a very large drink.

Tuesday's lunch special was Chicken Fried Steak with two sides and two rolls served with a large beverage of your choice. Yummy!! Large portions will definitely fill you up. Wife had the broccoli cheese and the mixed vegetables. I had corn cob and broccoli cheese. The chicken fried steak was so good and everything was freshly made. Take it all down with a big drink!! I loaded pictures and be sure to check out their Monday-Friday specials served 11 am-3 pm. Lunches are $8.99 each. Come on now...where are you going to eat a large meal for that price in this economy with drink???? Dessert is extra...Peach Cobbler was outstanding at $2.79.

This was my first time trying this place and my chicken fried steak was delicious! Service was fast. Huge portions for the price. Liked it so much went back for the fried chicken and was not disappointed. Will return again soon! Mashed potatoes were awesome!

The Chicken Place is one of the better chicken places (haha) in the Fort Worth Area. It's a bit of a hassle to get to since there's a ton of construction being done on Rufe Snow, but I think it's worth it. I ordered the Chicken Tender plate with fries, rolls, gravy, jalapeño ranch (extra) and added some spicy seasoning. First and foremost- the spicy seasoning is more of a spice seasoning rather than actually being spicy. The tenders were good- they were fresh, decently sized, and didn't have an excess amount of breading. The rolls weren't great- they were a little stale and you could tell they were just cheap frozen rolls you could get from the store. The fries were made to order, which was nice. As I was waiting, I saw that most of the sides were already prepped and arranged on a heated pan so you could see. The staff was not great- while my order went smoothly, they were being quite rude to other patrons that came by. Its a shame because the food at this place is pretty good. Maybe they were having a bad day- hopefully this isn't something that goes on on a daily basis. I am going to come here again, but hoping the staff is a little bit better.

    Meal was Delicious

If your in the area definitely check this place out. I was driving past and decided to get a plate to go. The chicken was very very good and so was the customer service.

    Definitely try the green beans!

We got Turkey Bacon Melts that come on sourdough with fries. Bread was sturdy and sinfully buttery. I was pleasantly surprised with turkey breast (not deli meat). Bacon seemed like microwave bacon and cheese got lost. Fries were straight up frozen crinkle fries they didn't add seasoning to. I love dipping my fries in ranch but could not waste calories on this ranch - tasted like it came out of the big plastic tub from restaurant supply company. They have senior meals for really good price which is great! Lunch starts at 1030. I don't see that I wrote a review about my experience a year or two ago but would have rated that 4 stars and our reason for going back. Service was better last time. We got it all started with fried baby portobello mushrooms. My steak, cooked medium rare, was perfect size. Our salad was fresh and crispy (a real surprise). The house fries and wedges were really good. The mushrooms were a great start to our meal. They also have Lunch and Dinner Menu Specials that run $15 and under, with several decent options to choose from. We're very pleased with the value, pricing, and menu options at Sweetie Pies.

Quite honestly he was the highlight of our evening. I believe PJ was his name. So helpful, friendly and funny. Unfortunately, that's where the greatness ended. We both ordered the 10 oz ribeye. I had the squash and my wife had a baked potato. Both of our sides were just barely luke warm. Disappointing. The steak tasted good but also "barely" lukewarm warm. Even when it tastes good the temperature of a good steak is paramount to your experience. Not quite sure if we are willing to try again.

This is our go-to when we come back from trips. Nothing says home like a country kitchen…read more We often get the breakfast chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes or homefries and eggs. Most recently we opted for some pancakes . Overall the quantity you get for the price is good but the overall quality is not always consistent. The first time we came my husband had piping hot mashed potatoes while mine were almost cold on one side. The next time we came the fries were no longer home fries but just your regular frozen variety. The time after that, one of the chicken fried steaks was a little gummy at the bottom, probably from an uneven fry. This is not to say everything else is bad, they just seem to have an inconsistent cook. Pancakes are good though. Service is typically okay, just like anywhere it depends on your server. If you happen to be seated in a... non assigned area... you may not get the most attentive service and flagging down a different server will just have to do. The restaurant itself is spacious with plenty of seating. They also serve pies, giant cookies, and brownies. I do recommend really looking at the pies since the servers don't always know what's in the fridge, so when they say "thats a lemon pie' you may end up with a Buttermilk slice like we did. The brownies are also... not good... so I really don't recommend them. They don't really taste like anything... Overall an okay country kitchen, not overly bad but also not the best. They could use some tweaks and better quality control.

But there's a sign for to go orders so I headed that way. None of the staff look you in the eye in hopes of avoiding helping you. And when the girl finally finished organizing her money she addressed me then handed me my order. That interaction alone would keep me from ever going back. The food- the burgers were enjoyed, the fries are a mound of floppy & oily potato strings. The chicken tenders were basic, and again floppy oily fries. The chicken fried steak was mostly salty thick breading with a small thick and hard to chew steak...but the mashed potatoes and gravy and pea salad were good. The onion rings are huge but again, floppy and oily. I'd say I'd give them another try but I don't want to waste my money on overpriced takeout!
