I love Chicken G's. This is one of my favorite fried chicken places to go. They make it fresh! I've had to wait about 20 min sometimes because it it is busy. During the rush hour it is just more of a wait sometimes. I belive they are a little understaffed sometimes. Only 2 people working that I have seen. Their friend chicken is just soooo good. Just order ahead of time before you come because if you order at the restaurant you will have to wait because they cook it fresh. I love their fried chicken and will for sure be coming back for more! If you like food with a slight kick of spice, then this place is for you. Chicken G's serves chicken sandwiches, fried bone in chicken, and Chicken Tenders . I had their Chicken sandwich. It was one which did not have a "spice" warning logo... but underneath the deliciously crispy batter, there was a very noticeable spice (my tolerable spice level is hot Cheetos, and this was slightly spicier than that). Beyond the spice, the chicken itself was spectacularly cooked. The interior was quaint. They had two large posters with a few tv's one playing Ted Talks without sound. They also had a prayer area which i thought was nice and well maintained. The bathroom: A single person restroom tucked in the back of the storage hallway. (The same hallway the staff uses to go to the back of the kitchen). It is decently clean with a larger sink and a toilet that even has a bidet. Above the door, there is a sprayer nozzle that is a bit worrisome since anyone who enters the restroom walks directly underneath this. The kitchen had an obnoxiously loud mechanical squeaking noise... not sure what it was but we just tried to ignore it (which was very difficult to do). The order: The Big G (Chicken Sandwich) -Had a large, thick, and very juicy fried chicken. The batter is knurled with a great crunch! Even though it had some heat, it was delicious!!! If you want more heat, there are options on the menu. This could easily be the best chicken sandwiches I have had in the area... if it weren't spicy. Comes with a side, and I chose seasoned fries (the seasoning turns out to be very spicy). Combo 1 -This combo comes with 2pc bone in chicken and a side. This chicken comes with the same deliciously crunchy batter as the Big G, and it too has a spice level I was not expecting. As for the side, this time I went with regular fries, and it helped tremendously to cool down my mouth from all the hot spices/seasonings going on. Definitely worth a try if you can handle and enjoy hot Cheetos. But if you can't, then I recommend skipping this one. But the delicious chicken batter might be worth the spice pain. read more

It is so seldom that I finish a meal and immediately start thinking about my review but this place DELIVERED (literally, because we doordashed it at near 1 am). This hit like no other meal I've had. The chicken was so flavorful, juicy, and paired so well with the bread and sauces. The fries were sooooo well seasoned, and I appreciated that they charge the same as the regular fries (this entire meal was so worth the price). My family and I had the late night munchies after a wedding and this place hit the spot. Quick update. We were again in need of lunch post Trader Joe's errand run. So when the feeling hits for Chicken G's you meet it. I think whenever we call in the order, we reach some kind of centralized help desk and they put in the order for the right location. This last time we got The Big G and 6 piece chicken crispy wings. From what I recall, one thing that wasn't to my liking was that it was a bit too spicy for me. I'm unsure if it's in the sauce or the seasoning in the batter. Maybe it was just this time round. But it was definitely crispy, juicy, and lots of flavor in addition to the heat of spice. It does take a bit of time to make so you may want to call in to order and pick up if you're in a rush and don't want to wait. I know we always end up waiting a little bit each time we go and this also depends on how busy they are. Felt like chicken last night for dinner so pulled up Yelp to see what was around. I was hesitant with the rating but decided to give it a try. Since it was our first time we really didn't know what to order. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Food was also made to order so our food was fresh! We ordered the two piece and two tender meals. With seasoned and plain fries. For drinks we ordered a jarrito, turkish cola, and a strawberry lemonade. The chicken was meaty and crispy. Not oily and flavorful. Had a tiny bit of a kick and the sauce to dip was really good. I went into it not knowing what the sauces were but I prefer the lighter one. The more yellow sauce was good but changed the profile of the chicken. Overall a good meal and I would come back and try their sandwiches. One thing was I thought we would have gotten seasoned potato wedges from the photo but it was regular fries. Turkish cola tasted like cola but healthier if that even makes sense. The strawberry lemonade is a must. Perfect tart to sweetness. Could do without the frills in it but it makes the drink pretty. Parking cause get busy but people are constantly coming and going. Lots of people picking up orders which I think is the move, but food-wise huge portions and very tasty. I got the naughty chick with seasoned fries. The serrano's were a bit too much for me at the end and i had to take a few out but I would still get it again, it was very tasty. Been here a couple times, and it's a good, consistent quality of food and service! The tables are always clean whenever I walk in, and the environment is peaceful. The staff is also very polite and warm. The menu is smaller than one might expect, but I find that a restaurant with a small menu usually indicates that the restaurant is very confident in the food they sell. Regarding the food, their portion sizes are GENEROUS, to say the least. Their chicken always comes out hot and juicy, and their chicken cuts are big. I need to unhinge my jaw just to get a partial bite of the sandwich! Their fries are seasoned properly, and their mac n' cheese is wonderfully melty and soft. I appreciate that they have a zero sugar Salaam Cola too, for those who are watching their sugar intake. We came here super late, I think an hour before closing. The place was kinda easy to miss, but it's okay because it's next to a strip mall. There's enough parking and has it's section of the lot for them. The inside is fairly clean and there's self serve water next to a wash station. Service is trash and the staff prioritize being on their phones instead of paying attention to the customers and building a "returning customer base." 90% of our order ended in the trash. The long version: The food: Under cooked, overly salty and served in unsanitary plating. The bun was un-toasted and soggy. The chicken was under cooked and the breading kept coming off the chicken. Soggy, stale and NOT crunchy at all. The "special house sauce" was freezer cold with ice buildup, greasy, overly salty and inedible. The fries were fried correctly, crunchy and seemed to be freshly made, but it got ruined by the amount of inedible seasoning and salt placed all over the dish. The water, utensils and napkin station: Not a single water glass without stains. Greasy utensil holders and old food stains on all the surfaces of this station. The dining room: Absolutely disgusting, dirty, mould and left over food crumbs and sauce stains on the tables and serving counters. It's a real shame, you have a "halal" sign on the window yet you don't understand what Halal entails. Halal does not just stop at the way the protein is sacrificed or prepared. It goes beyond just the meat. It requires the place to be sanitary and clean as well, so that you Don't get your customers sick. The bathroom: Avoid at all cost, it is a bacteria-filled hazard zone, even the faucet knobs were mouldy and nasty. The staff: Get off your phones for heavens sake and have a bit of respect for the industry you work in. Being in the service industry means, you provide a warm and welcoming experience. Perhaps stop arguing with the kitchen staff in front of the customers and discussing your next job opportunities for all to hear. This is exactly how you will lose your customers. Judging by how empty the store was during lunch rush, am guessing you will not be around much longer. Had heard about this place from a friend when they first opened. But I didn't go till may be 4 months ago. Food was great and the portions are massive. The spicy chicken sandwich was amazing and filling and I only ate half of it. People always complain because the Fremont food scene is so basic. Chicken G's is not your average fried. chicken place. It cost a little more, but we have to be willing to pay for quality if we want it. The standout is the quality of the chicken. You will notice it from the first bite. I said to my husband, this chicken has obviously never been frozen. He said Yeah, look at the sign. Never frozen, antibiotic feee, cage free, no hormones. And you can TELL. Also, the sandwiches and tenders are BIG. So it's not really that expensive for what you get. Smaller eaters could easily share a sandwich. And the 2 tender meal seems small, but the tenders are giant. Samit was our server and he did a great job. Very nice and patient. So go support this small local business. The inside was moist and the outside was incredibly flaky, with both the interior and exterior being well-seasoned. It was a bit too salty for my personal preference and had a hint of spiciness. The sauces that accompanied the chicken were also delicious. We also tried the coleslaw and mac and cheese. The coleslaw was fairly standard, while the mac and cheese was quite watery and soupy--not something I would order again. The Texas toast was not notable and didn't seem necessary. Overall, the star of the show was the fried chicken, which was excellent and made the visit worthwhile despite some minor drawbacks. read more

I catered food from here for my son's birthday party. We ordered the chicken tenders, mac 'n cheese, fries, Texas toast and the dipping sauce. It was seamless to order over the phone and they had it prepared on time for pick up. Staff was very kind to assist with bringing the trays to my car. The kids and parents loved the food!! The chicken was extremely crispy yet tender and it melted like butter with every bite. It was also the size of two hands. I have tried supporting chicken G but last two trips, consistently the chicken was not only cold to touch but fires were soggy and cooked more than four hours ago before serving. Sauce on burgers was less than a quarter dollop and veggies were barely teaspoon in amount. For a huge burger this amounts made burger dry and we had to use ketchup. Before these two times, food was average based on all factors. Delicious!! Three of us had lunch here today. For two of us it was our first time! Two of us ordered the Big G sandwich and one of us ordered the two piece bone in meal. Everyone was happy about their humongous serving of delicious food! The chicken is tasty and juicy! The crunch on the chicken is fabulous! I don't know what's in the visiting but it is delicious! We also ordered the loaded fries which were huge and yummy too! Fried chicken over fries covered either sauce! How yummy! What ever you do get some hot sauce on the side. It's delicious!! Spicy but not too spicy, great flavor! We also ordered three of the pineapple drinks. These were yummy too, but next time we think we will have them hold the salt. Wanted to try this place, based upon reading their reviews, but our experience was much different. We went to order and the staff was very indifferent and it seemed like other guests had been waiting awhile to place their orders. Once we finally placed our order, it was awhile before our meal was ready. We ordered the "Friends Meal", which comes with 8 pieces of chicken (4 drumsticks, 4 wings,) and 3 sides (fries cole slaw , Mac & cheese). We like our chicken crispy, but the chicken was beyond crispy. The skin was so hard and oily, that it wasn't edible. I thought I was going to break a tooth biting into the chicken. The fries were cold and soggy, the cole slaw was OK and the Mac & cheese was dry. The best thing was the cole slaw, which is sad. We'll never return! For the money we spent.
