Another good Korean Fried Chicken yummy delicious family of business aside from Bonchon! Plenty of parking at this location, but interior a bit small with limited seatings.

Perfectly crisp even after four hours in the car - half order of Yang-Nyum (sauce not yet applied) boneless chicken $18.99
    Kellie C.

Spectacular. I gave it the ultimate test of to-go portability in that I ordered online (easy), asked for sauces on the side (a built-in order option), picked up (ready, hot, and friendly), and then drove four hours with it in the car. When I got home it was not soggy, and all I had to do was warm in the oven and toss in the sauce. Perfect! Absolutely loved their daikon "wraps" (a 3" round of flat daikon slice to use like a tortilla with your chicken). Loved their boneless chicken with the crispy soy garlic ($17.99 half order - about a pound) and the Yang-Nyum ($18.99 half order) with sauces on the side. I ordered both "spicy" and they were!Came with a ginger-mayo slaw, and also ordered the cubed daikon. The to-go packaging was folded so it was vented and didn't get soggy. I wish Vons wasn't four hours from my house. There are only two locations and they're both in South Bay. Cute outside seating and plenty of seating indoors as well.

mmmmm... am i home yet? Should I eat in the car?

What else can I possibly say about KFC? And yes, I mean Korean Fried Chicken, not the other one. We're talking crispy, crunchy, and still somehow moist chicken, lightly drenched in your choice of sauces like: Sweet & savory soy garlic (the "I could eat this forever" option), or Yangnyeom; rich, sweet, and spicy in the best way (the "I regret nothing" option). And yes, they've got other flavors too... but let's be honest, these two are the headliners. The chicken is well-seasoned, full of flavor, and comes with the right supporting cast: pickled radish (daikon) that resets your taste buds, plus simple sides like salad or pair it with a warm bowl of rice if you're going full comfort mode. Bonus: Von's isn't just about fried chicken anymore. They're also serving a solid lineup of Korean favorites like seafood pancake, tteokbokki (rice cakes), ramyeon, and different kinds of Korean fried rice. I haven't dined in because the seating is pretty limited, but honestly? This is prime to-go food. I usually grab it, bring it home, and serve it with an ice-cold beverage of choice like it's a reward for surviving adulthood. No extra suggestions needed here. Just: Order wait sink your teeth into crispy legs and thighs of joy sip something cold achieve peace. and yes, in that order. Go now. Order. Don't keep reading this... why are you still here? Shoo. Go get the chicken.

    Gangjeong Glaze half combo

I came in with a party of 3. We ordered the Gangjeong Glaze half combo, spicy soy garlic half combo, japchae, and French fries. The Gangjeong Glaze was delicious; sweet yet savory. The chicken was moist and soft. I dipped the French fries into the remaining sauce from the chicken. The French fries are a really fun thick cut shape. The flavor was what you'd expect from French fries. The spicy soy garlic was also really good but the Gangjeong Glaze was more favored amongst the table. If you're not good with spice, just go with mild, all of us thought it was a little too spicy but that's our fault for having a low tolerance. The japchae was good but clumped up into a block after a while. We ended up leaving with 3 drumsticks and some japchae as leftovers. This is a nice casual spot with quick service to enjoy a meal with friends

Von's Chicken is one of my go-to spots whenever the husband and I crave some KFC in the area. I've had their Mild and Spicy Crispy Chicken, Honey Butter, and Yang-Nyum, all of which are tasty. However, I personally prefer the Spicy Crispy Chicken or Spicy Yang-Nyum the best. The chicken comes with radish and slaw, which pairs perfectly. Can't say much about the dining-in experience as we usually order take-out. Recommend trying them out for your next fried chicken craving!

Crispy Yang Nyum Chicken - 5 Drumsticks - Very tasty, moist and crispy

My 1st time ordering here and I've never heard of Vons before. Very friendly cashier who gave me information about each type of chicken. I landed up ordering the spicy chicken, garlic and soy garlic chicken. I chose drumsticks because I'm too lazy to eat wings! LOL! Each box contained 5 large pieces of drumsticks! I was impressed! Cooked perfectly crispy, moist and tender huge chunks of meat. The spicy was my favorite, I felt the 2 garlic flavored ones were on the sweeter side and I really didn't taste much garlic at all unfortunately. Regardless, all 3 boxes of chicken were fresh, moist, tender and tasty. I also ordered the JapChae and Ttebeokki. Nice, large portion of JapChae, but unfortunately the Ttebeokki was really underwhelming and didn't even look appetizing. It was like they ran out of sauce and barely added any to this dish. The rice cakes were practically white and not even 100% covered in sauce/flavor. That was truly disappointing as I was looking forward to eating my rice cakes! Ugh! I bumped up my rating because the cashier was so sweet, helpful and kind. Maybe it was just an off night. Will try the original flavor chicken and the spicy chicken again next time.

5010 Mowry Ave Fremont, CA 94538 This was my first time at Vons Chicken in Fremont! I was there 30 mins before closing. They said I could only order takeout, as they were preparing to close. Okay, no problem! I ordered: Half Order of Real Garlic Crispy Fried Chicken, Mix Wings and Drums. Price $15.99. They said it would be ready in 10-mins. When I got my chicken, it was hot and fresh from the fryer. OMG, there's nothing like fresh and hot fried chicken! Super crispy and crunchy....so good! The wings and drums were meaty. I forgot to count how many I had in the order. The one negative thing was the garlic sauce flavor. It was very mild, and a bit of a let down. I was expecting a spicy garlicky bite, but it was very mild. I wonder if I had a choice between mild and spicy garlic sauce. They didn't ask when they took my order. Service was friendly and polite. The restaurant has a small dining room and an outside patio with umbrellas for shade. Vons Chicken is in the Lucky's shopping center, a few doors away from Starbucks and Menchie's Frozen Yogurt. Lots of free parking.

This place holds a special place in my heart because it was where I had my second date with my boyfriend. We ordered the Crispy Fried Chicken with Honey Butter and the Crispy Fried Chicken with Cheddar. The Honey Butter version had a delightful buttery powder sprinkled on top, which made the dish absolutely delicious! It was like a perfect blend of fried chicken and karage, a combination that's quite rare. The chicken was juicy and not at all dry, and the sprinkled powder added an extra burst of flavor. The restaurant itself was spacious, clean, and well-lit. Although we dined there for dinner, the bright ambiance made it feel like lunch, which might suggest they have nothing to hide--just great chicken! The service was quick, and we received our food in no time. The chicken was so good that we finished it quickly and were in and out in less than 30 minutes, even though we were taking our time. The restaurant is located in a convenient complex with plenty of parking available. I look forward to returning soon!

Stopped in for a quick bite before heading up to the city to catch a Warriors game, and there were a handful of people dining in. This location took over the old Pieology, and there was plenty of seating. I really liked the Fremont-centered decor on the walls; that's one way to connect with the local community! Given it was an early dinner, the two of us shared a #1 which consisted of 2 sliders and fries, and we tacked on an additional side of Mac and cheese to try it out. Chicken was meaty, not too dry, and well-seasoned without overdoing it. The Mac was also pretty good, and the fries were also seasoned, but nothing too special. The food took longer than I expected to be prepared, but we were kind of pressed for time so on a regular day it wouldn't have been too big a deal.

I show her my order and she reaches over and grabs it confused, holds it while she has a conversation with her co worker and then just slides it across the table without saying a single word. If you don't like your job just quit. Food was mediocre this time and I don't think I'll be visiting this location again. Go to their other locations elsewhere.

I also shared this with my family and they really enjoyed it as well. I got the Thai Style and the Garlic chicken feet and the garlic was by far my favorite (and also was the fave for my family members as well). I also did a combo, which came with a drink and to my glee I was able to sample the drinks first as well. Can't wait to come back and treat myself to some more boneless chicken feet!

Today, I was shopping nearby and realized this place had been sitting on my saved list forever, so I finally decided to give it a try. First impression: the service was fantastic! I couldn't decide between the garlic and lemon flavors, so the owner gave me samples of both. I really appreciated that! I ended up liking the lemon flavor more, so that's what I took home. I also love that they specialize in boneless chicken feet. It's one of my favorite dishes back in Vietnam, but I absolutely hate dealing with the bones, so this place solved that problem perfectly (and this is the only place in the Bay that has boneless chicken feet) Their boneless chicken feet are only $13.99 per box. They're fresh, flavorful, and have the perfect crunchy texture. I also got the combo with a lemonade. The chicken feet were incredible, but the lemonade was a little bitter, I think it could be improved. And also, if you follow them on Instagram, you get a free small lemonade, which is a nice bonus! Besides chicken feet, they also serve duck neck, duck tongue, etc. I wasn't in the mood to try them today, but I'll definitely be back next time. Overall, this is a great spot for affordable Chinese snacks. The boneless chicken feet absolutely lived up to the hype, and I'll definitely be coming back!

The food photos alone never quite explained why it has such light foot traffic--and honestly, after finally stopping in, I'm even more puzzled, because the food is good. I ordered the double pepper chicken leg burger, and the chicken itself is the star: crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and deeply savory. While I personally wished it packed more heat, the execution was spot‑on. The bun, however, felt a bit forgettable, and the sauce leaned heavily into Thousand Island territory...fine, but not particularly distinctive. All that said, it's better than the crowd suggests. My order came with bean sprouts, broccoli, fish cakes, potatoes, kimchi, eggplant, and tofu. My favorites were the stir fried fish cakes and the lightly sweetened potatoes. *Kimchi Jjigae: the broth carried a pleasantly fermented kimchi flavor. There was also a generous amount of soft tofu incorporated throughout the stew. This leaned more heavily into deeper, aged kimchi notes. *Mul Naengmyun: the chilled broth had a naturally tangy and slightly sweet profile, so the side of mustard felt necessary to sharpen the flavors further. The buckwheat noodles were pleasantly bouncy, though they had clumped together a bit at the bottom. Unfortunately, the toppings were the weakest part, as both the meat and egg were noticeably overcooked. *Corn Cheese: surprisingly mozzarella forward. The cheese was melted well and paired nicely with the bursts of sweetness from the corn. This complemented the hotter savory dishes especially well. Overall, this is a solid takeout option with efficient service and dependable packaging. I would still like to see more depth and refinement in some of the broths, but the foundation is definitely there.
