Their credit card machine was not working and when I got to the register after our 2 bowls were already prepared, they said sorry you have to pay cash or get cash from the ATM around the block. Over 40 minutes early than closing time, the grill was already being cleaned and the chickens had been precooked and seemed cold. After being served a very miniscule portion of a plate, the same server gets on a phone call for 15 minutes leaving me waiting for my card to be run instead of hanging up and running my card and then tending to the phone call. Horrible service, my husband was having a bad day and he ordered the chop chop and the guy behind the counter started pouring the rice. My husband had forgotten to mention he wanted the white rice instead of the yellow rice and he told him oh I am sorry I wanted the white rice. I come here sometimes for lunch mostly. Prices are good and the chicken has good flavor to it. The line could get long sometimes and they usually have one gentlemen handling all the orders. I usually get a Cuban chop chop that has yellow rice, black beans, lettuce, and tomato. I come here often because the food is good and it's near my house. I've wanted to pick up some chicken kitchen at night time and when I go they are already cleaning everything up to close so then I have to leave. They don't have hours on the door so i don't know what time they really close or if that was just the employees trying to leave early which costed the business lots of hungry people to go somewhere else. (This has happened more then once). They charge extra for brown rice (which pollo tropical doesn't). And if you ask for extra chicken it cost almost as much as another plate.
