Honestly, their sauce is what makes this place. I mean, lets just establish that you're getting a lot for what you pay for. I usually order the kid's portion (around $6) and as a grown man, I can't even finish what they give me- and usually take it home in a baggie for togo. But seriously, their food was WAYYY better before (in my opinion). I mean, their chicken is still good- it's a balanced ratio of crunch to meat. BUT, their fries have just gone south. In the first two weeks of finding this place we went back 6 times. That means...going home after being blown away, talking about it more and then going back two days later for more. (health conscious? my girl and i get so full off one combo since they pile their steak fries into this kfc type box) so good. We have tried other items but #8 is muy bueno and keeps us coming back. They also give you a mayo-based secret sauce that comes in Mild and Spicy. Get both. Oh and another cool secret is to get the half and half Kool-Aid n Lemonade to satisfy that thirst from how good this meal is. It's like the secret gem the Lemon-Up at In N out in Kool-Aid form. I haven't quite figured out what Chicken Now is all about. I get it's supposed to be focused on chicken but the dishes seem like they're randomly put together. They have salads and chicken potatoe bowls and chicken tenders. One thing that's actually very good is their chicken tenders. You get the option of the spicy or mild sauce. I personally haven't tried the mild but the spicy is super delicious! The chicken is also a great quality and fried just right. They're always sampling it out when you walk by. I wish Chicken now has a little more of a variety. The wait time is also long for a food court restaurant. I have waited over 15 minutes for my order before. I can honestly say the past three times have never been disappointing. Sure, for food court food it may seem a bit overpriced, but for the quality of the chicken and the amount that they give you I cannot complain. The service there is always good. The helpers always give me attention and see if I want to try some samples before ordering. Always a plus! :) The Kid's meal with two tender strips and a box of fries look very small, but you'd be surprised how fulfilling this little box is for your stomach. The chicken strips are always very juicy and cooked fresh! How do I know? Well, my hand burns when I'm trying t o peel the chicken into small pieces -____-;;;;;, but none the less, I love free food. What's even better is the amazing sauce that they have. It has a nice zingy spice to it that definitely brings flavor to the table. Also tried the chicken salad. This I would have to admit as being pretty overpriced. Pretty small, but I have to say it's made pretty well. Fresh greens, juicy sweet baby tomatoes and of course, chicken! I don't know how to give a fast food chain 5 stars, or even 4 - but here it is! In the food court of the Westfield Santa Anita Mall, Chicken Now was a huge surprise. They give out samples and I took a little nibble of a tender, and dipped it in their sauce... and I didn't realize that it was legal to have crack in a sauce!!! So good! Spicy and sharp, it really comes down to being Sauce, with Chicken on the side. THat's how good the sauce is. I loved it......until they served me raw chicken two days in a row. Plus, when I worked at Borders, many of us would get sick after eating it. Grilled chicken = raw chicken, sadly. Also, they take about 20 minutes to get your food when they're busy. We used to call it "Chicken after you finish your Kool-Aid". The dipping sauce and the red Kool-Aid are the best! One thing that bugs me is that they advertise their lemonade as "fresh and homemade". No. It's Country TIme lemonade from a powder. Quit frontin', Chicken Later. Having taken up a second job at the Santa Anita Mall after a 4 year hiatus from the place, I was amused to see the new choices of foods to enjoy in the food court. I refuse to stand in long lines for asian food or McD's, so I decided to try Chicken Now. Honestly, I really enjoyed it! As a big fan of Chick-fil-a, I was happy that they had a menu almost as comparable. I ordered the 6 piece nugget kids meal, which come sin a little box with fries and a drink, all for about $5. Not a bad deal as it is enough food to fill me up and still have leftover to bring home to my boyfriend at the end of the day. I recomment this better than most of the other fast food spots in the food court ;) read more

FRIES: Chicken Now... has seasoning to it which adds an extra dimension. Raising Cane's crinkle cut fries is so bland and boring Special Sauce: Tie... I couldnt tell the difference. I think its pretty much the exact same sauce. Texas Toast: Raising Cane's... by a huge margin. Raising Cane's Garlic toast is absolutely delicious whereas Chicken nows is a flimsy piece of white bread with butter put on the grill. they need to SERIOUSLY FIX this pathetic excuse of a texas toast. I would have to eat here a 2nd time to give it a more in depth review. When I ate here last weekend, I ordered a simple grilled cheese sandwich with fries. My gir ordered deep fried chicken wings. The sauce they gave us was thousand island/mayonaise based. Sadly the price for this was expensive. Most food court meals are above-market prices. I love this place in the mall food court. Best chicken tenders ever. The chicken is moist and the breading is nice and crunchy. It comes with a great dipping sauce, in either mild or spicy. The reason why their chicken is superior to other chicken places is because it's fresh and not greasy at all. I love fried food and fried food is greasy, but somehow Chicken Now manages to fry their chicken in a way where grease is minimal. All you taste is deliciousness. This place is definitely one of the better food court places to dine at while shopping at the mall. read more

I hate that I love this place. Fried chicken is terrible for you. Mall food is terrible for you. Chicken Now is terrible for you but it's so good. They literally take diced up whole pieces of chicken breast, bread it and fry it to a crunchy, juicy crisp. The nuggets are my fave cuz you get more breading per chicken and breading is always good. I'd really like to give this place 4 stars- because it probably deserves it. Having only tried the original chicken burger and the cajun burger. I can't speak for the entire menu. I'd like to try some of the chicken wraps and the chicken nuggets. The chicken itself is fresh and tender- the way I prefer it. The amount of meat is more than generous. But the chicken seems to miss some flavor. Perhaps it's because of the thickness of the meat. To remedy this, Chicken now offers it's spicy sauces. I usually get two to dip my burger in and also for the cajun fries that come in the meal. First time, service was great and quick. Second visit, the line moved slow but it was around dinner time so that is understandable. I will modify this review if I enjoy the wraps or nuggets better. Overall, worth going back. You can get a meal for around under $10 bucks. Not bad. It's fresh. read more

That is enough to make me full and have left over for later. I have also tried their salad, which is good because of the sauce, but a bit overpriced in my opinion. Quality on the food has definitely gone down over the years though. The chicken used to be moist, but now it's dry and greasy. I wanted a bite & this place is my grandson's favorite for chicken tenders. I ordered the meal with fries & a Coke Zero. The tenders didn't have a lot of batter, it was pretty skimpy. The chicken, although moist, was stringy & a low quality flavorless lump of blandness. The fries were actually pretty good but I didn't know I had to make a meal out of them. The Coke Zero was watery & flavorless. The toast was flavorless too. I had the buffalo sauce which was too salty & the bbq sauce which was too sweet.
