The bacon cheddar melt with a loaded potato soup is my new go to here! Love that every meal comes with a little sweet treat for dessert.

Graham was a wonderful server. We were a group of 6 tonight. It was slow in the restaurant…read more Richard and I ordered a vegan pizza... no cheese, grilled onions, basil, mushrooms with a tomato base. And an arugula salad without the goat cheese. The salad with pine nuts was tasty. The restaurant could accommodate our diet willingly. Our pizza was last to be served... about 5-6 minutes after all the other food was served. That was okay, but certainly not ideal. The other pizzas that were ordered looked covered with cheese and ingredients. While ours did taste good, the flavors in the sauce were quite nice, the toppings were very skimpy. I could hardly see any onions or basil and sparse mushrooms. Speaking from experiences of pizza at other places with our vegan request, typically the pizza is more loaded with the vegetables since we are not having any cheese (I.e. cost savings to the restaurant) to compensate and make the pizza look more substantial. It is a policy I would strongly recommend for us vegan folks. We would then return with company who would order the items off the menu... now we have no incentive to return because the pizza was ok but not worth the price. This is my humble opinion based on our travels outside of beaufort South Carolina. Here is a plus... we asked for a gimlet cocktail... not on the menu, but the bartender knew what it was and did a nice job making it!!

Served with mayonnaise type sauce. Pure garbage! The service was slow and the food was even slower. The restaurant was not quite half full. Not my worst experience ever... But way far from the best. This place needs a lot of work. The food is subpar, but OK.

They have both prepared foods and foods that they make to order. I love that you can take food to go, sit inside or outside. It is in a strip with ample parking. Definitely follow their social media so you can see various specials they have going. I have yet to try something. I don't absolutely love. Do yourself a favor and try this place!

THIS IS MY FOOD WONDERLAND…read more My first time coming across a concept like this where there's ready-made food, cafe, pantry goods, catering options, and more. This is the second time I've been to The Kitchen and I don't even live in South Carolina. I bought around $200 worth of delicious pulled pork baked potatoes, toad pizza, pasta sauce, lasagna, oatmeal crème cookie, peanut butter pie, chicken spaghetti squash, wraps, salads, sides, meatloaf, and more! This is the perfect solution to not wanting to cook but still getting a delicious hot meal ready for the whole family. They have everything in their fridges and freezers, the only issue is trying to keep it all in-stock all the time because the food is just flying off the shelves. Prices may seem steep at first but one "full" container is easily a meal for two people and at around $20, that's a typical price. The convenience, quality, quantity, and variety of items prevails over the cost. I've tried a good number of items and everything has been delicious. Not salty, not too sweet, not heavy or greasy...just perfectly homemade and well-balanced. The cooking instructions are all exactly on point as well. The Kitchen is what every city needs, well-priced, nutritious food that is ready to grab and go. Everyone working inside is very nice, all items are clearly displayed, signs are easy to read, enough space that it doesn't get crowded everywhere. Don't leave without picking up an oatmeal crème pie.
