This is a sweet spot for chicken salad AND soup. They gave around eight different recipes/flavors of chicken salad to choose from. Two of my favorites, which are the only two that I ever get, are the lemon basil chicken salad and I think it's called Nancy's fancy or something of that nature (it contains pecans and grapes). So good!! The tomato basil soup and loaded potato soup are both amazing! Not to mention the atmosphere of this great little secret! Clean, bright and cheerful! So I'm a little torn with my experience at this establishment. On a positive note my chicken salad was extremely delicious. I had the Pimento cheese chicken salad that came with crackers and 2 sides. Both sides where very tasty. Unfortunately most of the menu items weren't available so i wasn't able to try the broccoli salad that I had heard about. What wasn't impressive was the lack of friendly faces. The 3 employees we interacted with had very little communication with us. We explained to them that it was our first time there and would need some explanation on the menu. They had great knowledge of what the menu has to offer but little effort was made to help us with order. It felt very rushed and that our order was a burden to them. No "Hello" when we entered the establishment, no "enjoy your meal" when the food was brought out, and no "thank you for coming" as we left. If I'm spending $25 on two salads and two drinks, I expect the salad to not be loaded with rotten lettuce. Pre-making salads does not work out well, just make them to order especially since you are using spring mix. Also, a salad should consist of more than lettuce and two cherry tomatoes. My mom, grandma and I really enjoyed our food and the experience. Staff was super friendly and helpful too. Only thing that bothered me was a sign in the women's bathroom. We have been now several times. They lay menus along the wall where you enter and there is a menu board behind the counter. The whole idea of this does not work well or efficiently. The place is beautifully decorated and clean and the folks who take your order are always nice and quick. The problem is that they sure don't have enough help in the kitchen (and they're only making sandwiches) especially at lunch time. The wait is way too Long for this type of establishment. No one wants to waste half their lunch hour nor if you're there for a "quick" bite to eat. If you want take out you should definitely call ahead.
