I went here for a lunch date. Loved the food but my company could have been a little better. I grabbed an egg salad sandwich with wheat bread. I love a good egg salad sandwich & this restaurant did not disappoint. I had a side of pasta salad & it was full of flavor. Staff was so ready & helpful with vegetarian options. Came with one of my besties, she ordered the Fancy Nancy and I got the Cranberry Kelli. Both of us got the croissant sandwich and she got the baked potato soup and I got the chicken Artichoke soup both had impressive flavor profiles. You also get crackers, a dill pickle spear and a buttercream cookie. Service was spot on and the restaurant was clean. Women's bathroom was not working so you had to use the mens but it was clean and not many men frequent this cute, feminine restaurant. Decor is so cute and staff was so helpful. So this place leaves me in that middle of the road spot. It was good.. not great. The service was cheerful and helpful, you order from the front counter and they bring it to you. The place is very clean and cutely decorated. Chicken salad.. they make a base salad... "the classic" Then they add different ingredients to come up with over 10'different types of chicken salad. You can order 1 scoop to 3 scoops.. served by itself or on a bread/croissant/salad. The best thing I had was actually the in-house made jalepeno pimento cheese... it was excellent.. sharp cheddar, creamy sweet thick sauce with the bite of jalepeno.. perfect. I was excited to see CSC opening up here in BA and in Tulsa. I travel to Huntsville, AL for work and that where I usually get to enjoy CSC. If you love chicken salad this is the place to go. My favorite is the Kickin Kay Lynn. Spicy and very flavorful. The chicken Florentine soup and loaded baked potato soup are awesome. The BA location had friendly service! This used to be one our favorite spots to go to in the evening after work. It seems like the hours have changed to closing at 7pm instead of 8pm (wasn't on Google last time - pulled up to locked doors at 6:48pm). Tonight was different, my husband and I got there at 6:35, doors open and was immediately told they were closing at 7pm and if that meant we needed to take food to-go then that's what we needed to do. Another couple walked in right behind and has had the same closing issues plus some, we were all also told that there is no tea past 6:30 and they wouldn't just stop serving at 7 we would need to leave promptly at 7. We understood thinking it would work, the couple behind us were asking questions about closing (what everyone was thinking - and why no tea?). My husband and I decided to go ahead and order, they didn't have any soup and were out of a side he wanted. Once receiving our order it was wrong anyways. We are so disappointed in all the recent changes and hateful staff, really wish things could turn around. I suppose the only appropriate time to eat at this establishment is lunchtime since afterwards they run out of things and start closing up shop. Also 4 people/groups of people came to yank on the door handles but they were already locked 10 mins before closing... Side note, from a first timer.... there was a man who ordered before us who heard all the issues as well, and it was his first time there. He told us he felt rushed and didn't know if he'd be coming back. I just feel like they're missing out on so much business from 6:50 on (when the worker locked 2/3 doors). I love the Yale location of Chix Salad Chick, first time at this site. Everything was great today except the nasty lettuce the chef chose to put on my sandwich and salad. It is clearly old and wilted, starting to blacken. Letuce is such an inexpensive commodity as well, just toss it! Everything else was fine, but something as obvious as this makes you question the freshness of the other ingredients. The lettuce was chopped just so to fit the sandwich, etc. so it's not like the chef wouldn't have noticed it. Is the chef not trained to weed out old produce or is the management so cheap they tell them to ignore it? It's not a huge issue at the end of the day, but being a manager myself, it makes you wonder. The lettuce sticks out on the sandwich bec of the color contrast. It's hard to miss and it wasn't crazy busy when I came in. In any case, it's a simple but important fix. Also, the men's bathroom was out of order. read more

I really like Chicken Salad Chicks but today was rather disappointed in what I was served. Got a takeout order of a sandwich with fresh fruit for a side. Of course I didn't look at my order until I got to my destination and so couldn't return it. The sandwich was, as usual, tasty. But.. the "fresh " fruit was very far from being fresh. The strawberries were mush, the grapes were squishy and the blue berries- well I didn't even... Obviously, my serving was leftover from yesterday or longer. I loved the decor and vibe of this place. I got the Fancy Nancy (w/added grapes & pecans to my Chicken Salad). I also ordered the tomato bisque to go with it. It was very good, i just hate soup served in a styrofoam bowl w/a plastic spoon. i thought the chicken salad was a bit bland, but still tasty. i did like that it had lots of chicken and wasn't over done with mayonnaise. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the Trio because I wanted to try a variety; jalapeño chicken, mac & cheese, and potato soup. Seated promptly and our order arrived timely. The chicken salad is definitely their signature product, wife got the "Classic Carol (plain) chicken salad and comparing the two, my personal preference is that jalapeño is much tastier (my wife agreed). As for the mac & cheese it was pretty good, but the potato soup was a total failure. Way to watery and very little flavor for a potato n cheese soup. Just had a very bizarre experience. 1st time into the restaurant and wondered what the poppyseed dressing was like. Asked Audrey who was taking our order what the poppyseed was like and she rudely replied "I don't know I've never had it". Okay - can we ask someone else here who might know? She replies - I guess and yells to the other employees very rudely - she wants to know .... everyone else - no we don't know. Can she get a sample? (Which I didn't ask for). Kitchen - no. Then a female from the kitchen puts a little sample up in the counter and says here - that's the best I can do. I just wanted a brief description - sweet, lemony, whatever. The reviewer who stated it was creamy and delicious must have got a good batch because what we received was a dense, dry and horrible tasting serving. The chicken salads were okay. When the order is correct, the chicken salad is delicious. 3 out of my 4 trips have resulted in an incorrect order. I despise onion and 2 of my sandwiches have been the onion based chicken salad. I've gone to both tulsa/BA locations at least a half dozen times. The first 2-3 times I loved it but as mentioned in many reviews, they lack consistency in the quality of ingredients. My last two trips the wheat berry bread was stale. I can see serving it to customers who order toasted sandwiches but nobody wants stale, firm bread on a cold sandwich. Secondly, I ordered a catering order for a group of friends I was having over. The website allowed me to place the order and charged my debit card. I scheduled the pick up for one hour before my friends were to arrive. Neither location is close to me but I figured it would be worth the drive and was excited for them to try it. When I arrived the store was closed for a holiday party. When I reached a manager later she assured me my money would be refunded but never offered an apology, coupon or comp for the inconvenience, the waste of time, my drive, or the fact I had to make last minute plans to feed guests. Unfortunately, I would no longer recommend this place because it's so hit or miss. read more

Went in at 12:10 and just said that we have a mobile order and got "it's not supposed to be ready for another 13 minutes" when the order summary said it will be ready at 2:13. I live in Illinois and never heard of this restaurant until I listened to "How I Built This" (a podcast). After hearing the story about Chicken Salad Chick, I had to go! Just so happened I was in Tulsa for a long weekend and made a special trip to this restaurant.... I was not disappointed! The staff was incredibly nice and very helpful since it was my first time. The recommendations given to me were spot on and I loved every single flavor I tried. My family and I loved this place when it first opened. Since then, it has been a hit or miss experience. I like the croissant sandwich. But the last couple times ordering it, the bread was very stale and the lettuce was brown and gross looking. My 6 year old daughter got the kids mac and cheese and a side of fruit. The Mac and cheese was very runny and the fruit was mushy and brown. Not appetizing in the slightest. The staff used to be friendly in the beginning, but now they just seem impatient and annoyed with customers. Sadly, I think I am done eating here. Too much bad outweighs the good. read more

I was excited to find this new restaurant. Their motto is "A simple concept. A superb experience". It is a simple concept, and chicken salad is my favorite sandwich filling. But the execution of that concept is not superb. My husband I tried different chicken salads and different side items. The chicken salad was good, but not really tasty; much too bland. The biggest problem was that there was too little of it. The chicken salad was a thin layer spread across the bread. And it was too dry. If you can't afford to put a decent amount of chicken salad on the sandwich, at least spread the bread with a little mayonnaise! My broccoli salad was good, but again, very little of it. My hubby's chicken florentine soup had some kind of unidentifiable stringy vegetable? in it, and I don't mean the spinach, but he did say it tasted good. Service was fast and friendly, and the restaurant was sparkling clean. Up your game, Chicken Salad Chick. I love chicken salad and I want you to succeed! Since the location at 61st & Yale opened this location has been suffering!!!! I was in the restaurant on 7/25/19, service was horrible and my order was not as I ordered it. Once my order was delivered they told me they were out of egg salad (20 minutes later). I was actually already aware of this. A person getting a to go order was told that it was out and I overheard. However, I was not told this when I ordered so I assumed I was ok. Staff should be trained to convey all information to customers. I would not have spent the extra $ on a 2nd scoop had I been told. In addition, once I received my plate it did not have the typical cookie on it. Instead it had a ripped off piece from the flower cookies sitting on it. Talk about not looking appetizing..... Apparently they had already ran out of the cookie that comes with their meal. It would have been better to leave the cookie off completely..... VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!
