    Buffalo, Pimento, Fruity Fran

Solid, solid chicken salad. I ordered the trio with two chicken salads and one pimento cheese. The fruity Fran was definitely on the sweeter side as it had grapes and pineapples in it. The Buffalo chicken salad was my favorite. It provides a nice kick, but not too spicy. The pimento cheese tasted just like pimento cheese. Since it was the anniversary of chicken salad chick, my meal also came with a free scoop of the classic carol chicken salad. Now classic carol is classic alright. It taste like the chicken salad I would make at home which is delicious! The chicken salad meals come with a mini cookie. There are also regular size cookies for purchase too. I stared at my soft sugar cookie with icing and thought to myself "this cookie looks so familiar". It can't be. Oh, but it is my friends. They sell Cheryls infamous soft sugar cookies. Oh yea!

I am a huge chicken salad person, although I am cautious when eating it out, as I worry it has a high probability for spoiling as with anything mixed with mayo. I had heard great things in advance of this location opening, about the high quality of this chain. I arrived mid afternoon a few days into the grand opening. I was greeted by a small sign out front offering the soups of the day and toting that every order included a free butter cookie! Upon entrance I was shocked at how big the place is! There was a pile of menus (take home) to peruse, or a large sign board up front with the same menu. Just prior to check out was a refrigerated case of grabable goods to go! I stepped up to the counter, and although busy, it seemed they had all hands on deck for the first few days of opening. I asked the gentlemen some recommendations and decided on the chicken salad BLT on a croissant. You have the option to choose which kind of chicken salad you would like and I went with the sassy scotty. For my included side I went with the broccoli salad. A pickle and that advertised butter cookie is also included. I decided to get my order to go. The dining room was huge, and there was even a nice patio outside but it was quite crowded. My order came out very quickly. The croissant was buttery, flaky and a perfect compliment to its contents. The sassy scotty chx salad was quite salty, which was over powering, but the flavor itself was good. It is made with ranch so I suspect that is part of what made it overly salty. I would like to try a different chx salad variety next time. I loved the broccoli salad. The cookie and pickle were good. This is a great addition to the fast casual scene in Anderson Township!

YUM. I looooove Chicken salad, so I have been anxiously awaiting the opening of CSC's newest store front in Anderson. For the past week before opening, they've been out in the community, offering samples to nurses and businesses. Their social media game has been on point with marketing and giveaways. You can download their rewards app to earn credit towards free food and csc gear. They also send our code words to enter in for points at random. THE FOOD: 9.99 gets you a "trio" of endless options. You can get 3 chicken salads, 2 chicken salads and 1 egg salad, 1 pimento cheese, 1 egg salad, 1 chicken salad; your choice truly is endless with soups and salads as well. You can also just order "The Chick" which comes with one scoop of chicken salad and a side (or an additional scoop). Each order comes with a pickle, crackers and yummy buttercream cookie. Drinks are additional $1.99. Our trio included Fancy Nancy with Fuji apples and grapes (soooooo good), Barbie-Q (our favorite), Lemon Basil (heavy on the basil). I would order each one again but we are looking forward to trying more! There's one heavy with onion, another with sweetened cranberries and pecans AND a buffalo chicken salad. They're just killing the game! Update: have already been back and tried the Onion Chicken Salad, sooooo good! Perfect for the onion lover! Also tried the loaded potato soup, it is okay. Highly recommend a visit to CSC. Hospitality was great, everyone had a friendly face and the space is clean, bright and inviting. Bring the kiddos along for some delicious Mac and Cheese

Dude. I didn't know I needed to experience a restaurant solely dedicated to chicken salad, but let me tell you, this place has it down. They know what they're doing. I didn't even think about concocting so many different types of chicken salad, like, what a concept! We tried the Classic Carol, Pimento Cheese and Chicken Salad BLT sandwiches with potato soup and chicken & artichoke soup. The bread was perfect. The chicken salad texture was so good, not too much mayonnaise which makes it slimy, you know what I mean lol. The pimento cheese oooooh my gosh, so good, so rich. I took it to go and ate it on crackers later and if you're wondering if it was still delicious, the answer is yes. Totally check this place out if you're ever in Cincinnati!

There was a lot of hype about this place, so when my mom called and asked to go to lunch, this place was top of mind. It was busy! Almost a dozen workers were quite active preparing food and waiting on the customers. My thoughts based off this visit: -The staff was friendly and helpful. -They take your order at the back, then the kitchen delivers to your table. This process took about 8 minutes. Not bad for the lunch rush. - I ordered the Lauryn's Lemon and basil chicken salad, on white bread. It was fine. I really couldn't taste the lemon, so that must be a light touch. My mistake was getting it on toasted bread. The bread they use has the texture reminiscent of cardboard. I'm guessing they use this denser bread so it doesn't get soggy from the filling, but this is a huge mistake. -My mom got the Fancy Nancy on a croissant. She raved about the chicken salad, and the portion seemed larger than my bread version. She got the loaded baked potato soup which she said was delicious. I got the tomato soup, and I'm not sure why. I guess I thought it was a good match for the savory sandwich. I'd try something different next time. Overall I would recommend this place, I'll be back but next time ordering my chicken salad on a croissant.

This is a fabulous lil restaurant for anyone who gets down with chicken salad! Lauren's lemon basil and Dixie chick are my favorite salads. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and Andrew the team leader is really cool and nice to talk to. Great service and great food!

Was very pleased with my order. First time ever eating here since I don't live near by. It was very tasty . Didn't think it was enough to eat but it was just right. Went away being a happy customer. The employees were very nice & the restaurant is very clean. I was impressed with my order & I shared it on Facebook as well. I even ordered for take out as well to have later.

The menu consists of numerous protein and vegetable options including vegan. The Mac N Cheese was a baked homey delight, the fried Okra was a well seasonend crispy goodness that tingled the taste buds with every bite, the collard greens cooked with smoked turkey and cornbread were perfection, the fried catfish was a visual delight; seasoned well and crunchy to the touch. My family members cooed over the cabbage, the sweet potatoes (not from a can), the chicken tenders, chicken wings with multiple sauce selections and the fried, flakey cod fish. I highly recommend the Watermelon Lemonade! Desserts were also on the menu without a doubt. A selection of pies, cakes, banana pudding and I must say the cookies and cream cheesecake cup was a chef's kiss at the end of a wonderful meal. This establishment knows homedown Soulfood and took us on a return journey to the kitchens and tables of our grandmother's and big momas. Hats off and kudos to the owner, Nicky Nicole Stevenson; her staff and their knowledge of Soulfood cooking with great restaurant service needed in Cincinnati. They had parking, and although they were full on reservations, 2 spots at the bar opened up and we grabbed them happily! First, the food was FANTASTIC! I had the Willy Burger and my husband had the fried bologna sandwich and we both loved what we ordered and vice versa. The sauce on the burger was phenomenal! The drink menu was extensive and looked so good but we were in a bit of a hurry and I'm 6 months pregnant so we settled for waters. Second, the service was excellent. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The ambience was great, I loved the big open garage door and patio seating they offered. The decor was so cute! They have a nice outdoor area, which we avoided due to the current heatwave. We ordered two apps - FRIED GREEN TOMATOES - Topped with Libby's pimento cheese, pork belly lardons, bourbon onion jam, and herb oil and FRIED CHICKEN SKINS - Hand breaded and served with hot honey dipping sauce. The fried green tomatoes were nicely plated, though the pork belly lardons and bourbon onion jam did not have the most pleasant color. They were good, but not as great as the description. Fried chicken skin is the thing! I first had it when we lived in California. An Asian market served them up thinly breaded and fried perfectly crispy. I just about jumped out of my skin when I saw it on the menu at Libby's. The breading at Libby's is thick. It's tasty for sure, but it's quite thick. A quick glance at the chicken skins and it looks like full-on chicken. Anyway, they were very good and I would definitely order them again. I had a taste of the hot honey dipping sauce because it spilled. It was good, but for me it detracted from the flavor I'm looking for. I had to have the FRIED BOLOGNA BLT - House smoked bologna, pimento cheese, fried egg, house made BBQ sauce, spring mix lettuce, & sliced green tomato on grilled 16 Bricks sourdough. First, it was huge! I could only eat half. It was very good. All the different flavors mixed together well. It was messy!! It was so obviously messy the server brought over extra napkins without us having to ask! Top Notch! Oh, the mac and cheese side was just okay. I barely touched it. The second half of the sandwich was delicious cold. It was also not messy at all. The leftover mac and cheese had turned inedible in the fridge. I did not mind throwing it out. My friend had the CLASSIC TURKEY CLUB. It was also huge and she only ate half. The fries were crispy and delicious. Mark had THE DOC HOLLADAY. He said it was okay. He also only ate half. I think he enjoyed the cold leftover more. I like the menu; lots of options. The place is cute. The staff is great. We'd definitely come back.

Love. If I can use…read moreone word to describe my experience at Soul Secret, that's it. Love Amore Besotted Take great people (Melinda was our server and the chef came out to check on us...more about Melinda later)... Combine it with great food and great ambiance, and you get this restaurant! The first thing that you notice when you walk in is that it feels like home. Some restaurants focus heavily on decor and leave a lot to be desired in terms of ambiance, the people, and the food. And in other restaurants, you walk in and feel as if you can stay there forever. This is one of those places. We stayed there for a while. Imagine being in Grandmom's living room with pictures on the wall and positive music playing in the background. That's Soul Secrets. The menu is big enough to make sure that everyone can find something to eat, but not so big that you will struggle to make a decision. From fried catfish and grits to French toast to salmon croquettes and the largest pancake on Earth, there is something for everyone. My niece ordered the French toast, and my sister ordered a special breakfast that came with a pancake, grits, eggs, potatoes, and sausage. I was still hungry from last night's meal, (and you can read about it in another review) so I just nibbled off of my sister's meal. The French toast came out first, and I could tell immediately that the chef knew what she was doing. The rest of the food came out, and again, they brought the largest pancake I've ever seen. My sister was treating us today, and I was glad that the menu prices were very reasonable. My niece said that the French toast was delicious, and she ate as much as she could. She has a dance performance tonight and made sure that she didn't put her show at risk. It was difficult for her because the food was so good, but she managed and took a box home to eat it later. Yes. My sister nibbled on everything else and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the grits and some of the pancake, and I have to say that it was very difficult for me to stop eating because it tasted so good. The pancake was perfectly cooked and fluffy with crispy bits on the edge. The grits were creamy and flavorful, even without cheese. The coffee was great. I had several cups. All in all, it was arguably better than any breakfast I've had at any restaurant that serves it. Now let's get back to Melinda. So often, the dining experience can be directly related to the person that greets you when you take a seat. Thank goodness we were greeted by Melinda. She has one of those energies and personalities that makes you feel as if she has been in your family for years. Funny and friendly, but at the same time, dedicated to making sure that you have a good experience. Again, I felt like I was at someone's home rather than in a restaurant. She called me a "troublemaker," which means that somehow she was seeing the 20-year-old version of me instead of the person that I am today. lol So here's the summary. If you are in Cincinnati and you want a great meal, there are many restaurants to choose from. It appears to be a pretty decent restaurant town. But if you want to FEEL Cincinnati, while feeling right at home and having one of the best meals ever- Soul Secrets is one for the ages.

The place is small and had a very weird vibe between fine dining and kitschy. White tablecloths, but then lots of purple and pictures of roosters everywhere (I realize the name, but hmmm). Our server was lovely but would disappear for too long between times when she should have been present. We ordered our drinks at 745pm, and I watched them sit at the end of the bar. Finally, at 805pm, I went to the bartender and said, "those are our drinks that have been sitting there for a while". Our server brought them over like we ordered them 5 minutes prior. But the lovely owner/manager came over and said the "drinks are on me" because we waited so long. We appreciated that! The fried chicken was good, but the breading was very salty. The green beans were almost inedible because they were so salty. The mashed potatoes were average. The biscuits were fantastic. The fried deviled eggs were okay. A regular deviled egg is better. The shrimp and grits had a lot going on. The shrimp was lightly battered and fried (?) and the flavor of the dish was bold. I think sauteed shrimp and a little less gravy would make it perfect.

The dry rub wings are my go-to: perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of heat and flavor, and even better when paired with their bama white sauce. If you're leaning sandwich, you can't go wrong with a pulled pork or pulled chicken sammy topped with their Carolina gold sauce--it's tangy, slightly sweet, and completely addictive. And the fries? Thick-cut, crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside--exactly what great fries should be. Beyond the food and drinks, Lucius Q really shines as a place to gather. They have a fantastic event space that comfortably holds around 50 people--perfect for parties or private events.
