Csc is the best. New to this area, I was hoping there was a location there is and it is closer to my house than I thought. I normally go there once a week so that will continue here! The restaurant is clean and organized. You have the choice of picking up you favorite meal or getting your salad to enjoy later at home. While it's hot out-I'm less likely to have soup however the soup here is beyond delicious! I haven't had the chance to try the pimento cheese but all the chicken salads I have tried are delicious! This place is all over social media so of course you seek it out . I purchased grab and go containers to try we currently don't have one where I live . Classic : great texture not a whole lot of flavor . Spicy Scotty: this one more flavorful with the addition of cheese , jalapeños and bacon . Buffalo: you get just what you bought buffalo chicken. Pimento Cheese: the flavor was fine , but the texture very odd ! Overall they have many more chicken salad options with fruits, nuts and herbs I may try it again but it's not a must for me. First time eating in at CSC. I had it one other time through a school function for teachers. Comparing the two I feel like I got more chicken salad on my croissant eating in the restaurant compared to the one that was delivered to us. I paired my sandwich with the broccoli cheese soup, which I really liked. We only ever interacted with the cashier and she was nice. But you don't really interact with anyone else. Restaurant was clean and the booths were nice. It was nice to be able to sit and chat with friends without being bothered. I regularly pick up containers of chicken salad to go from here. (The mobile app is pretty good but could be a little more user friendly.) The crew are always friendly, helpful and the cashiers are quick. Yesterday I met a friend for lunch and noticed that they no longer offer the green salad. I was a little disappointed because I like to get as many vegetables in a day as possible and I enjoyed their salad previously. There are a handful of sandwich options as well as soup and Mac and cheese. I chose to get a scoop of the seasonal flavor Deck the Holly (jalapeno & cranberry) and side of fruit salad. You concord NC location sucks. They have had a broken melt machine for months. They advertise a melt and then you come in and they say we can make it cold for you our melt machine is broken. Literally for months and months. Today I had to get this sandwich cold. To make matters worse. They made it wrong. I drove 25 min to come here then get to work w my lunch. I have a cold sandwich with no bacon on it and no cheese on it and instead i have lettuce tomato which I never asked for. Now they don't answer phone either. What a joke. read more

I don't think there works be much to this chicken salad restaurant, but it was very good. There are many different iterations of chicken salad and I would like to try all of them and I would if I lived closer. You order at the counter and they bring your items to your table. I noticed this place when it open nearby over a year ago, but I happened in here just last week. I was pleasantly surprised at the service, comfy decor, the reasonable prices but blown away by the food quality. I ordered the Dixie Chick on a croissant, with a side of tomato bisque. The soup was okay, but the chicken salad was exceptionally delicious. The Arnold Palmer I made was sweetened to tart, chilled perfection, and my order was complete so quickly I barely had time to note all the quaint pictures of Concord, North Carolina. I did notice that the place was immaculate. It's perfect for a casual sit down lunch. They even give you a yummy shortbread, iced cookie to finish your meal with a sweet touch. Note that there is a shared parking lot with a lot of busy businesses, so parking can be a challenge. But to my new favorite place... Chicken Salad Chick! I love a good chicken salad, and Chicken Salad Chick has been on my radar for awhile. I ordered the Trio, which came with two scoops of chicken salad and a side. I went with a scoop of Classic Carol and a scoop of Lauryn's Lemon Basil with a side of pasta salad. Classic Carol is a solid regular chicken salad and I would have been just fine with it. Lauryn's Lemon Basil, however, is fantastic! I never would have thought to make it with basil, one of my favorite herbs, and man what a difference it makes! The flavor is bright with just a hint of lemon; not too overwhelming, it's just right and balances well with the basil. It's my new favorite twist on a classic. The pasta salad was good: a blend of tri-color rotini pasta tossed in a light dressing with artichoke, feta cheese, and black olives, generously seasoned. It also came with a quarter pickle spear and their signature wrapped cookie. Overall, Chicken Salad Chick is pretty great. Shame it took me so long to finally try it but I'm glad I did. They also offer their salads in sandwich form. My only criticism is the to-go container: styrofoam is a no-no. I hope they consider switching to more environmentally-friendly, containers that are biodegradable or compostable. read more
