I don't think there works be much to this chicken salad restaurant, but it was very good. There are many different iterations of chicken salad and I would like to try all of them and I would if I lived closer. You order at the counter and they bring your items to your table. There's outside seating as well. It's a no frills dining room but that doesn't matter because the salads are so good.

I really like this place. It's a little chilly on the inside so maybe wear a jacket if you are dining in, although the whole place is very clean. There are a bunch of chicken salads to choose from! Before you order you can request to try a sample of any you are interested in. (Or even any of the sides you are interested in) We tried Olivia's old south, Kickin' Kay Lynne, and the seasonal flavor Dill-icious Diva. They were all really good but we settled for the OG Olivia. We also ordered the delicious loaded potato soup! Each meal comes with a side and a cookie. Everything looked and tasted great. The employees were very nice. I ended up purchasing two quick chicks to take home. One Olivia old south and one Dill-icious diva. We will definitely be back in.

This is my favorite Saturday lunch spot. No matter which chicken salad sandwich I get it's always so tasty. Lauren's Lemon Basil might be my favorite. Unless I'm in a spicy mood then it's Kicken Kaylynn. The Chick meal is a deal when you're adding a cup of steaming hot soup. Service is fast and the staff is so friendly- and they treat each other well too. Quiet and clean in the dining area. Always a lot of people enjoying good conversation.

My kids grabbed take out at Chicken Salad Chick. They know I like grape salad so they brought me home some. They bought a large but to be honest the large portion was a side dish anywhere else. While it was good it was not worth $10. I was shocked by the cost. I will not be ordering again.

Honestly such a great restaurant for being focused solely on chicken salad. Quality is great, I've tried a lot on the menu and they all taste fresh and delicious. And their pimento cheese? Amazing. Atmosphere is interesting. Feels like your aunt Shirley's sunroom by the beach, but in a way that makes it more comfortable. Feels family style. 10/10 recommendation!

I have been wanting to try chicken salad chicks since I relocated here to Charlotte today I had an opportunity and it did not disappoint. I walked in and was greeted by 2 very friendly ladies behind the register who helped me decide what I wanted to get by trying a sample of something I always ask the person that works there what's your favorite item. When she told me I tried it and my taste buds were in love at 1st taste. I had the kickin Kaylin chicken sandwich and it was amazing with a side of pasta salad. I am looking forward to coming back as soon as I can to enjoy other items on the menu until then I hope you guys enjoy the picture I took before I ate it. Now I understand what the obsession is all about! I finally tried Chicken Salad Chick for lunch today after seeing the food truck for about the 5 years since I moved to Charlotte...and it was EVERYTHING! . The Jalapeño Holly on White was amazing, and so was the delicious Mac & Cheese side. The little cookie topped it off and I am now officially hooked. I definitely understand how and why it went from a food truck to a restaurant...and a great location too! They will be seeing my face often going forward. read more

Being a transplant from NYC, I love chicken salad on a poppy seed bagel. Which they don't offer. There sides are lacking and the variety of chicken salads they offer feels a little as if they are trying to fill a menu with stuff. The ambiance is pleasant and the service is great. Food is average. read more

I don't get it. Judge me because I just don't get it. I like chicken salad as much as the next girl. It is incredibly easy to make. I had the scoops at this place and they were fine. Nothing blew my mind. I got the traditional one and Buffalo style. Buffalo style was not spicy, not until after I ate all of it did I even detect spice. Chicken salad tends to be bland, these are no exception. I was expecting some devilishly clever take on a very simple food. Instead I got a straightforward $4 a scoop food. I don't eat sugars and lots of carbs so chicken salad works for me. I can't figure out why I shouldn't go get a lbs of chicken salad from any grocery store. I don't know why I shouldn't buy chicken at under $1 a lbs at many grocery stores and buy some Dukes or Helmans mayonnaise and make my own chicken salad for a fraction of the cost. Like I said in the opener - I don't get it. If you offered me a free meal from here for a year I wouldn't go very often because the 8 minute drive isn't worth it. I could more easily make it myself and not travel. The place was clean and bright. I asked the girl working the counter two questions and she knew neither. I asked if the items were low carb and if they take Google pay. It is and they don't. read more

I am so glad there is a Chicken Salad Chick closer to me now!I frequented this restaurant often when I resided in AL.This location met my expectations and I was pleased (great customer service,food served quickly,nice presentation,etc.).Parking can be a little difficult as there are other popular businesses in the same shopping center. If you haven't been before,I recommend you try the grape salad as your side.It is my favorite! read more

I've always seen Chicken Salad Chick in passing when I'm near Concord Mills Mall and I always thought, a place that only sells chicken salad? How good could that be? But my boyfriend and I finally just went in and tried it. We thought it was pretty good. Service was pleasant and quick. We also ordered carryout but they are open for delivery as well. If you like chicken salad, this is the place to get it. The epitome of a restaurant that does one thing well and sticks to it. They have a variety of chicken salads and some good sides. I like the cranberry almond chicken salad. Always fresh and tasty. The take out tubs of chicken salad are reasonably priced. The cup of potato soup is small, but well seasoned and at least average tasting. read more

Tried this place one day for lunch. There are way more choices of chicken salad than I ever thought possible! It was clean. The cashier was polite. The food was delicious and left me wanting more. I wanted more because of the portion size. Now I don't know about you, but I felt as if they used a baby food jar for scooping and that's just not enough to justify $9. Oh! I also got a pickle. This place was fantastic! For 7.99 you get a scoop of chicken salad by itself or on bread with a side! They let you sample anything you would like to try. The staff was so friendly and nice. I told them it was my first time and they walked me through the menu and options. I tried a spicy chicken salad with bacon and ranch in it along with the broccoli cheese soup. Let me tell u it did not disappoint. I will be back for sure to try new flavors! read more

Amazing chicken salad. Sides are really good too. Broccoli salad is my favorite. No issues personally, the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that there to go chicken salads are a bit pricey and they don't offer regular captain waffers only wheat ones. Great for lunch or dinner. Sugar cookies are an excellent treat as well. read more

This is my second visit and I'm already the "Duchess!" :-D Last time we had the three scoops to share with a croissant and it came to about $12! That's what I call a "cheap date." We both love the jalapeño holly. Not too spicy with a great flavor. We also tried the fancy Nancy with the grapes, pecans and apples...I liked that one as well. And we also ordered Olivia's old south. Everything was so fresh. I had mine with crackers. He ate the cookie and pickle [Insert twisted face here!] This visit two scoops of jalapeño and one of Olivia's. Going on a class field trip and thought it would be great to bring for lunch. I can see myself here too often. I just wish they stayed open a little later but I guess that requires better planning on my part. read more

I went to college at Auburn in Lee County, Alabama (where it all began), so I know all about Chicken Salad Chick! I was pleasantly surprised when I saw a location a few years ago in Ballantyne and even more pleasantly surprised when I saw this one in Concord only about five minutes from my house! I love a good homemade chicken salad, but I also love the spin the CSC puts on theirs. I'm partial to the Jalapeño Holly - to get a little spice in my life. My wife and I both also love the Fancy Nancy with the Fuji Apple pieces. The staff here has been quite friendly during my two visits and they are more than willing to walk you through the menu if you have any questions. read more

Britney who took our order was very kind pleasant and explain the menu and various options. The food was amazing it had a fresh clean taste the atmosphere reminded me of the picnic the bread was toasted perfect. The soup is hot it look presentable the chunks of potatoes were nice and consistent. The bread was toasted perfect which made the sandwich not soggy the chicken salad had the right consistency and taste. My wife and I are foodies so we wanted originally to have pizza but wanted to also try this location I'm glad we did. The staff was well organized had a warm smile we also noticed that there was a woman standing behind us in line one of the other cashier stopped immediately what she was doing and greeted that person that just walked up behind us that's exceptional service. While we were dining they were walking through making sure that the tables were clean and the manager was table touching the entire location was clean the booths the pocket behind the booths were clear of crumbs and it was clean and crisp remind me again of a picnic. I LOVE this place!! I have ate at ones in Florida and Alabama and was super excited to get one here local!!! I love chicken salad and the options of having a different one to fit what flavor I want that day is such a wonderful food experience. I have ate at this one several times, purchased the prepared chicken salads from the "to go" cooler and each and every time the staff have been friendly, helpful and patient while I make that hard choice...seriously who can pick just one...so lets pick three...and even then there are so many more I want because they are just so good!!! Consistent in taste so you know you get a quality food product each and every time you come to eat at the Chicken Salad Chick! I love this place. I just went in there last week because I'm meh about chicken salad but didn't realize the menu was more extensive than chicken salad. The atmosphere is happy and inviting and I feel very happy in there. I don't know if it's the yellow walls or what? The lady working behind the counter was such a delight. Chill and clean spot with great customer service. The chicken salads I tried and ordered were all unique and tasty. Loaded potato soup was flavourful but way too much cheese. I know that's a plus for some people, but I don't enjoy fighting strings of cheese when I'm spooning up some soup. Overall, great experience. Would definitely go back every opportunity. read more

I love this restaurant. I usually nab the kickn Kaylynn. I love the spice with my chicken salad and buttery croissant. There are a lot of choices to fit each palate from sweet, savory, fruit, nuts, etc. If you are looking for a different kind of sandwich then try this place out. read more

I work right next door and decided to stop by after work one day. the menu was a good size and easy to read. the lady at the counter was friendly. i ordered the jalapeño holly (i think it was called) and a potato soup. i ordered to go and by the time i finished filling up my drink, it was ready to go ! super fast service. i went home to eat and after a 20 minute car ride, my soup was still warm. it was delicious. there was even a cookie and a pickle as well. i'll definitely be back ! read more

A Familiar Craving That Fell a Little Short This Time…read more This review is for L&L Hawaiian Barbecue, and I wish I were writing it with more enthusiasm because I've had good experiences here before. This was probably my third or fourth visit, and I came in craving Hawaiian barbecue--specifically the grill and seafood mix with kalbi short ribs and fried shrimp, something I've ordered many times at other L&L locations, including the one in downtown San Mateo. I arrived around 4:00-4:30 in the afternoon, and there was no one behind the counter. They have a self-order kiosk, which I tried to use, but it was a little clunky and frustrating. Eventually, an employee came out, and I asked if I could just order directly. I requested the combo with only short ribs and shrimp--no fish. He had to check with the chef, which felt unusual since that substitution has never been an issue before, but eventually it was approved. The pineapple coconut smoothie, by the way, was delicious--sweet, cold, and exactly what I needed on a hot day. No complaints there at all. Where things fell short was the portion and overall value. When I got home and took a closer look, there were only six small pieces of shrimp and just one piece of kalbi short rib. Normally, you get two. That difference matters, especially when you've made a 20-minute drive with a certain expectation based on past visits. The flavor was still good. The food tasted like L&L, and the condiments were right--tartar sauce included, which I appreciated. But small details add up. There were no napkins or utensils in the bag, and the portion felt noticeably lighter than what I've received before. To be fair, part of this is on me--I should have double-checked the contents more carefully before leaving. Still, consistency is important, especially when customers return because they remember a reliable experience. I'm not writing this to discourage anyone. There's a whole world of good food out there, and this place can absolutely be part of it. I just hope the team pays closer attention to portions and those small touches that make the experience feel complete. Because when it's done right, L&L really does hit the spot.

I can't say enough good things about Chicken Salad Chick! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff greeted me with genuine smiles. The variety of chicken salad flavors is impressive! I tried the Scotty Chicken Salad and the Plain Pimento Cheese and both were absolutely delicious. Each bite was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The sides were just as amazing--I highly recommend them without bread! What really stood out to me was the attention to detail. My order was prepared quickly, and delivered to the table by Lorie who was so super nice! The presentation was on point, and everything tasted so fresh. I had a terrible experience at Chicken Salad Chicken restaurant and I would never recommend it to anyone. When my wife and I asked for our sandwiches to be toasted, the staff never bothered to inform us that their toaster was broken. We ended up with cold sandwiches, which was not what we had come for. To make matters worse, they also forgot to add bacon to our sandwiches. When we called to complain, we were told that we would only be refunded for the bacon and nothing else.
