My first time eating here! We went through the drive through and it was quick and easy. The turkey sandwich was stacked full of turkey and had a pickle spear and a cookie with it. The Mac and cheese was hot but was just ok. We tried a scoop of the Dixie chick and Carole's and really only like the Dixie chick one. The other is really thick and binding and just bland. I love that they already give you crackers and a pickle spear and a really yummy sugar cookie with buttercream on top. For 20 dollars I think you get a lot. First off let me apologize for the photo attached to this review. As soon as my order was delivered to the table I started munching away and enjoying the sandwich and soup so much that I didn't take a picture until half of it was gone. A friend from work had recommended I try this business years ago but since there isn't one right near my home it took me a while to drive near enough to one and today was that day. I was not at all disappointed by my first visit. Notice that they had a wide variety of chicken salad combinations. Some were savory, some were fruity and others were more traditional. I selected the basil and lemon chicken salad and ordered it as BLT on wheat toast. Selected a cup of their Friday soup special which was tomato bisque to go with my combo. Thoroughly enjoyed both. Don't know if I will ever order any of their fruity chicken salad mixes, not really my thing - but will definitely try some of their other savory chicken salads. Chicken salad competes as one of my favorite foods. I've never tried a chicken salad I didn't like and can't imagine Chicken Salad Chick would change that for me. I stopped in for lunch during my work day and was first impressed with the fact that they offer drive through. I went in though as I needed a quick break. I really wanted a trio plate to sample different flavors, but the cashier told me they didn't have that but I could sample anyone I wanted. I didn't feel the need though. So many choices and they all sound delish! I ordered the lemon basil on croissant with broccoli salad and a drink. I also couldn't resist the chocolate rice crispy treat at the counter so bought one of those too. Oh and their drink options were yummy too, ie cherry coke! You serve yourself, so I opted for half sweet and half unsweet tea. My only tiny critique was that my sandwich could have used a toothpick to hold it together. In the grand scheme, that's nothing and didn't keep me from devouring my food. I didn't know my meal would come with a cookie, and yep, you guessed it, I gobbled that up too. All was fresh and delish, and I will no doubt return. Their customer service was great, the bathrooms were clean, and the restaurant set up was very nice. Upon researching to see if I could get their product shipped to Baton Rouge I was absolutely delighted to see there was one near Baton Rouge! This place s fantastic and has a very helpful staff that are knowledgable about their options and will help guide you to something you will enjoy. The Fancy Nancy is my personal favorite but the Sassy Scotty and Kickin Kay Lynn are delicious as well. Their Turkey Club lunch cleverly offers a side option of chicken salad to get you hooked so you will take home a few additional containers - it really is that good! The food here is Always good. I love the varieties of the chicken salads. I've had the scoops and the sandwiches, and I've never been disappointed. My favorite side is the grape salad. Until recently I used to love the ne located in Denham Springs, Louisiana and recommended to everyone. Had so many points that twice I got a whole meal including dessert and drinks for free. Went away for the summer and when I came back, between past week and the present one I went three times and I'm done with this place. The first time was to try the new Mediterranean flavor. They were out of it and also out of my friend's favorite flavor. I ordered a grape salad that has always been fresh and delicious but this time the grapes were so old their peel were coming off! Since I always loved the place, decided to go back 2 days later thinking that maybe it was just a bad day in the kitchen. Again they were out of the new flavor so I stuck with my usual one plus the grape salad. This time was not bad but I wouldn't say it tasted as good as it has been in the past. Today I went because I really wanted to try the Mediterranean one and again they didn't have it! I ordered my usual one and they brought me a wrong one. They fix the problem but again it didn't taste like it used to and the grape salad was not fresh. When I scanned the bar code to do the survey I got a message that my ticket was an invalid one!!! I ordered the "Fancy Nancy" chicken salad sandwich on a croissant which was supposed to have chopped up nuts, apples and grapes in it. They spread an ultra thin layer on the croissant and I saw ONE grape and no nuts or apples in the chicken salad! And the croissant was terrible. Very dry and old tasting. My hubby ordered a cup of soup and was given barely half a cup and it was lukewarm. He also ordered a club sandwich which was dry and the turkey on it was almost frozen. 8.13.22 @4pm - I saw this little spot off the freeway today, and I was super ecstatic because I read SALAD!  Silly me, it's not a tossed/ composed salad place with Caesar, garden, or Cobb salads.  It's more of a bound salad place, meaning the chicken salad is like a tuna salad (mayonnaise as a binding agent). I was "hangry" and craving a Cobb salad, so I didn't realize it was advertising chicken salad that's like tuna salad until I was already fully committed to trying this restaurant.  Nevertheless, I did find a few traditionalossed salads on the menu, so I was somewhat pleased.  I ordered the Classic Salad, which comes with one scoop of any variety of their chicken salads (quite a nice variety).  I choice Olivia's Old South thinking the eggs advertised in this would appease my Cobb salad craving.  No, I did not taste eggs at all.  I choice poppy seed salad dressing.  The meal was tasty, but I'm just not a big fan of chicken salad, which is odd because I love tuna salad.  The tossed salad consisted of lettuce, cucumbers, and tomatoes, but nothing else.  The portion size was just ok.  There was also a pickle spear and a mini buttercream frosted cookie.  The mini cookie was extremely good.  Overall, I would eat here again, but it would not be my top choice.  The customer service was very good, and the wait time was reasonable. $9.64 was the total. read more

I don't really like calling Chicken Salad Chick "fast food", because the quality has always been so spot-on and consistent. Service is prompt and friendly as well. Frankly, it's one of the few "fast food" places I'm willing to hit for a quick and easy meal. I'm pretty partial to the lemon-basil chicken salad, while my wife really enjoys the Fruity Fran. My kids are more about the mac-and-cheese, but whose kids aren't? It's all good food. One of the things I particularly appreciate is that you can get an extra scoop of chicken salad to replace a side dish--not that there's anything wrong with the sides (broccoli salad anyone?)--but sometimes I'm just really hungry and want the extra protein. I'm not that big on regularly eating sandwiches, but CSC's sandwiches (get the croissant option) remind me a little bit of eating lunch with my grandmother (who was an excellent cook--and also loved chicken salad on croissants). So it hits a good down-home nostalgic button for me. (And since I'm the only one in my family that loves LOVES pickles--I get extra pickle spears by default!) Try it out! read more

This is a nice little spot with delicious chicken salad and friendly service. You go in and order at the counter. Once your food is ready, they bring it out to your table. They have several different types of chicken salad. You can jazz it up with nuts, fruit, onions or have it plain! I like mine as plain as possible so I order the Classic Carol. You can get a scoop or make it a sandwich. I get the sandwich on a croissant. It comes with a side and I have chosen the pasta salad and potato soup. They also add a pickle spear and cookie with your meal. I really enjoy their lemonade! It's got a great flavor and will have you getting refills! It might be a little pricey compared to other spots but I recommend it. I think it's worth it. read more

I love chicken salad and I love the variety they have here. Classic carol= yes! Lauryn's Lemon Basil on croissant= yes! However, the croissant would have been better if it was warm and flaky--it's room temperature and very soft. Tortilla soup=yes! The kick and smoothness are a great pair. Potato soup=yes, my tastebuds were in heaven. Broccoli salad=yes! Not too much dressing, crunchy, yes.
