Wings with Ranch dressing and Smack Bird sauce
    James J.

Located inside Cowboy Chicken, Smack Bird was hard to find because it's not posted anywhere outside. Then, once I found it, you have to order using their app which is easy but another strike. After I got through the obstacles, the Big Bird is a lot of sandwich and tasted good. I got the Good Smack heat level which is somewhere between 3-4 out of 5 elsewhere and was satisfied with my choice. It came with slaw and pickles which I added to the sando and enjoyed. The fries were good dipped in ketchup and the Smack Bird sauce. I also got an order of their wings which have a dry rub and are very good. If you order $30+, you get $6 off your order (before taxes) so do that before you pay and get banana pudding after the fact. I ordered the banana pudding from Cowboy Chicken which comes from the same kitchen so I assume it's the same stuff. The pudding itself was good but the vanilla wafers had an off putting taste to me. Overall, I enjoyed the food despite the hard to find location and the dessert and I would return just for that sandwich and fries.

The second reason is that it's SO BIG! Hard to get your mouth around, but you can do it if you try. The staff is always great and try to be fast to get your order in and serve you even during the busiest of times with a smile on their face. Unless you know where Dearman's is located, it can be difficult to find for the first time because it's subtly located in a strip mall establishment. Once you walk in though, you'll be taken back in time to the white, black and red-themed diner atmosphere and open kitchen. Plenty of seating and parking available.

They staved off an eviction nearly a decade ago and have somehow managed to stick around for a total of nearly 7 decades. Dearman's is the last legit diner in the city. The interior is a trip back in time. The spacious dining room is complete with retro furniture, checkered floors, and old school artwork that feels like something out of the 1950s. The decor screams pure Americana and is one of the biggest draws for the many patrons that come through daily. My favorite part is their juicy burgers. Pair it with their crispy fries and their old school milkshakes, and one has a complete meal. The burgers are hearty, and the portions are substantial. They also have salads, other sandwiches (tuna is my go-to), and various options for loaded fries. The other awesome part are the prices. Minus the double cheeseburger, there are no items that exceed $10 on the entire menu. The staff is young and always enthusiastic, and they play a big part in making this place such a destination. It is group / kid-friendly, and an ideal lunch spot. Orders can be placed online, but I recommend eating in for the full experience.

Whoever put these two items together is a genius! The chewy, meaty, crunchiness of the cracklins along with the gooey, saltiness of the cheese curds is the perfect combo. It's like Peanut butter and Jelly! Peas and Carrots! Beavis and Butthead! Ok I may have went too far but they are great. The beer is good too. Agile usually has 15 or so different beers or seltzers on tap. What I like about Agile is they don't just have 12 different IPA's (although I am a huge IPA guy) a stout and a blonde. They have all kinds of styles which is a good change of pace. Upon my last visit I had a Stout, An American Wheat, an IPA and a Krystalweisse (German light beer) in my flight. All were really good but the Krystalweisse was surprisingly good in that it was both flavorful and still light. Another plus for Agile is they are in an industrial park that includes 2 distilleries and another brewery. So, get you some curds and cracklins then get shmangled. Just call an Uber.

Bingo is free for paying customers, and I got their #5 brew - Lemon Buffer, a lemon vanilla sour - and the Locked and Loaded Taters. The beer queso on the tater tots was a nice touch! I was indoors for Bingo but their outdoor space looked nice with picnic tables and string lights lit up at night.
