I love Chicken Salad Chick, but after this experience, I would not recommend using them for a large order. I ordered meals for 40 people at work. I originally tried to place the order through their catering website, but it wouldn't allow me to enter individual names for each meal. Since I needed names on the orders, I placed it through the regular website instead. I placed the order on Monday for pickup Thursday morning. When I arrived, I mentioned that I was picking up a catering order, and the manager responded, "Girl, this isn't a catering order." I explained why I had to place it through the regular website. She then told me they hadn't put names on any of the meals either and had started numbering them according to the receipt but stopped. I was also told, with an attitude, that I needed to place a large order at least the day before instead of the day of. I explained that I had actually placed the order on Monday and wasn't sure why their system hadn't sent it to them until Thursday. The biggest issue was what happened afterward. Once I got to work, it took three of us almost an hour to figure out which meal belonged to whom because the different chicken salad meals are difficult to distinguish just by looking at them. I still love Chicken Salad Chick, but this experience was extremely frustrating and created a lot of unnecessary work. They were out of all the sides. So my friend got her sandwich without a side that was included in the price. We got our food & decided to sit in and eat it. She did get a pickle with her sandwich & said it was good. I believe she got the traditional. I dug into my Cranberry Kelly which was consistent with the same I've had at other locations. At the end of my salad I went to use the restroom. It was filthy dirty ! Had I seen that before I ate I probably would've skipped it. We carried out on Veteran Day and the restaurant was very busy. The workers were very nice and friendly. The wait time was very longer but I totally okayed with it being Veteran day. The meal came with a drink and I absolutely love the design of their drink cups. By the time when my name was called, I picked up the carryout bag without checking. When we opened the bag at our resort, we realized that the girl gave me the wrong order. We ended up with an extra order and the chicken salad was rather plain but very good. We didn't get our mac and cheese. Instead we got grapes in this white sauce with brown sugar and pecan pieces. I came in after a disappointing day of bike shopping (if you didn't know - nobody has any). I was greeted with a smile that shown thru her mask :) It was a pleasant welcome that was extended from every employee, to me and all their customers. I went with the usual spicy flavor that I love and ordered the broccoli salad with a scoop of Kickin' Kay Lynn. After tasting a few of the other options I have decided this one is my favorite. It packs the perfect ratio of jalapeños, siracha, bacon and ranch. There are other ingredients involved but these 4 are the ones I enjoy the most and found the flavors to really come through. I loved that the meal comes with a delicious sugar cookie and you can choose to have it on a croissant, other assorted breads or just with crackers. If you're on a diet, this restaurant will definitely be able to accommodate as I don't believe they pack heavy mayo into their salads. The inside of the restaurant is very girly and this makes it a perfect place for a lunch date with a group of friends. The restrooms are clean and there is plenty of parking all around the building. Chicken Salad Chick is not just a place for chicks, it is for everyone! The names on the menu may be girlier but everyone can appreciate good chicken salad. If you do come here, I recommend getting the grape salad! It is fresh grapes tossed is some sort of sweet cream cheese mixture, it is delicious. All around I had a great experience, the staff were friendly and they will even let you sample the chicken salad.
