I love this restaurant. It's one of my favorite chain restaurants and I crave their food frequently. This location historically has been brilliant; friendly staff, quick service, and consistently delicious food. Unfortunately the last three times I've visited this restaurant, in the past two months I have been incredibly disappointed. The first of three visits was the last time I actually got to eat a meal. The staff were short, flustered, and had poor communication with each other. It felt like a manager who didn't care trained a bunch of teens who didn't know what to do because they didn't get trained. Fast forward to the 2nd to last trip and I order then wait 15 mins only to be told they are out of the food I ordered. No big deal. But when I went to get a refund, no one knew how to do it and the manager was gone. I waited at least another 15 minutes on the manager to come and preform the refund. Lastly I walk into order and they are out of everything again. They have one more chance to serve me and I'll never return which will be so sad. read more

We had food from Chicken Salad Chick several times on this trip to Tennessee, which was the perfect thing to eat when it's so darn hot outside. I would go for the more fruity flavors, while my spouse went for the more savory ones. Every meal we got was yummy and satisfying. It made us hope for locations to open up at home (Long Island, NY)... and it does look like they may expand into the northeast, so that's good! Friendly service, good food and quick! I was going to get the classic, but it was out and it was actually fortune because I tried the Lauryn's Lemon Basil and it was delicious! My husband loved this place and my kids did too so it was a win for us since all of us enjoyed it. They did forget to give the girls cookies with their meals but they gave them to them when they went up to ask. The ambiance was fine too. I got a HOLY JALAPEÑO BLT.. on the best wheat bread ever ... too soft to toast (my opinion)... amazing.. along with a poblano soup.. the best.. both of them! I stopped by Chicken Salad Chick on a Saturday at 5:45 PM, well before their posted closing time of 8:00 PM. However, a laminated sign on the door said they had run out of chicken salad and would reopen "tomorrow." Not only was it disappointing that the main item was unavailable so early, but the laminated nature of the sign suggests this may be a recurring issue. To add to the confusion, the sign also stated they would reopen the next day--Sunday--but to my knowledge, this location is typically closed on Sundays. As I was leaving, I noticed two employees behind the building, and at least one of them was smoking. This, paired with the lack of product availability, didn't leave a great impression. Even if they were open the next day, I wouldn't be inclined to return based on this experience. read more

I eat here often but this was a meal for my home bound aunt and was terrible. There was hardly any chicken salad on the croissant and the grape salad was a mess. They have 12 different types of chicken salads, We ordered the classic salad with a scoop of Classic Carol chicken salad on top. The salad was a very fresh basic salad with greens, tomato and cucumber. The Classic Carol chicken salad was fresh and delicious. Mac n cheese and chicken tortilla soup was very good too. Drive thru was fast and employee at the window was super nice and double checked our order (very much appreciated!) I look forward to trying the chicken salad BLT signature sandwich and more soup. I have attempted to do my catering orders with this store several times. I picked up in Knoxville for a meeting in Cleveland Tennessee. When I called the store, asking if I could add a side salad to the order for the person in the group who is a vegetarian, I was told by Amanda in corporate that I would have to contact the store directly for that request since it couldn't be added to the catering order. When I spoke to manager at the store I was informed I that I would need to do a separate order when I picked up my catering order and "They should have some already made when you arrive". When I arrived at the restaurant, I had to get the employees attention that had her back turned as she was eating. I wanted so badly to like this place. I've driven by for years and just never stopped. I LOVE chicken salad, so on my lunch break I drove through. For my first time I stuck with the basics - classic chicken salad on white bread with a side of mac n cheese. You guys...the white bread was hard, like biting through a hard sponge. I came about a month ago and you couldn't get anything except pre-prepared items because the refrigerator was out. I came today and you can't get anything warmed up. You can't get your bread toasted! This has become one of my favorite places to eat once I found what I liked, LOL. The first time coming they had just opened and had kinks to work out which they did. I also had to try different things to figure out what I liked and so glad I did because they do everything well. Their customer service is great, and they are always friendly. My favorite is the Cranberry Kelli on a croissant with a scoop of spicy pimento and a side of their broccoli salad, and a side of the grape salad. Wow, chicken salad, cheap, easy and how is a whole chain restaurant based around it?? I'm amazed. But a friend wanted to try it, so I went with her trying to have an open mind. They have a LOT of flavors, but don't get the basic. It's so bland! Even the fancy one was bland, just with a few grapes added. Drinks are coke products, iced tea and what looks like fresh lemonade is Minute Maid, just in a better dispenser. The croissant did not seem fresh. It was spongy. Probably a few months old carted in on a truck. I tried my friends "grape salad" and was repulsed - it was sweet and tasted like the milk in it was spoiled. My side seasonal salad which cost $4 extra was tiny and wilted with browned apples on it. Other side options included mini bags of chips. And how much was lunch?? $12 FOR CHICKEN-FRICKEN SALAD! Overall, it was very disappointing. Another mass marketed chain restaurant for Knoxville residents that like that fair. (THERE IS BETTER!!) Warning: I'm not their target market. I love chicken salad, so naturally when I saw this restaurant getting ready to open I was super excited. Unfortunately, when I tried it, it wasn't that great. It's not terrible, just nothing special. I got one scoop of the Classic Carol and a scoop of Olivia's Old South to see which one I liked best and to be honest, they tasted pretty much the same. The broccoli salad was good and the small cookie that came with it was a nice way to end the meal, but overall, none of those things are enough to bring me back. The drive through employees were friendly enough, nothing above and beyond, but fine. I hope this restaurant does well. I think it's a great idea, it's just not for me. I tried this place for the first time the other day and had an overall very pleasant dining experience; however, the chicken salad didn't wow me. I ordered the Cranberry Kelli and my mom ordered the Fruity Fran. Both chicken salads were good, but we couldn't really tell the two flavors a part when we sampled each one. Although I wasn't very impressed with the chicken salad, the service was wonderful! I visited on a Tuesday afternoon during the lunch rush and despite the big line, we were able to order quickly and we didn't wait long to receive our food. The staff was very friendly and our order came out perfect. This place gives you a free cookie with your order, which I think is a really nice touch. We tried their food in the beginning of November and loved it the chicken salad is wonderful. We came back on 11/30/20 because of a promotion they were having. Whatever you bought on 11/30/20 you could bring your receipt back on 12/31/20 and get the same meal for free. My husband and I both work during the day so we went for dinner on 11/30/20 at 5:56pm, so naturally on 12/31/20 we went for dinner at 4:41pm, only to find out that they closed early on 12/31/20 of the free meal, and they would be closed for the next 2 days. When they reopened I called the store and spoke to Steven, to come in to get the promotion but I was told that corporate wouldn't honor the discount. When I asked why they didn't tell us that dinner would not be available on 12/31/20 when we made our purchase on 11/30 I was told that corporate didn't tell them the schedule for that day at that time. I have emailed corporate and the store was going to contact corporate and get back to me but I have not heard back from anyone yet. I guess "corporate" decided that too many meals were sold on 11/30/20 and they didn't want the loss to the company of free meals so they closed early. This is good chicken salad, but most people can make good chicken salad. It's not the best chicken salad I've ever had. By that standard, my Mimi should have her own restaurant. But also. My Mimi should prob have her own restaurant in general, yes. So anyway, the standard "classic carol" is pretty much shredded chicken breast, Mayo, diced celery, and prob some light seasoning. The menu seems to use classic as a base and then adds flavor. You want spicy? You want fruity? You want...BBQ flavored? They have all these options. The food isn't poorly executed or anything. It just isn't that...exciting. Or crave-able. And it's a little pricey for what it is. I will say, great job on the fruit cup. This isn't your standard underripe honeydew. It's strawberries and grapes and other yumminess. Also. The grape salad is on point. It's like church potluck style sweet cream cheese dressing with grapes folded in. Placed an online order for pickup. Checked in when we arrived which was when my order was due to be ready. 10 minutes later I checked in again. 15 minutes goes by and I call the restaurant to let them know I've checked in and still haven't seen my food come out. The employee who answers says they will be right out. I've now been sitting in the parking lot for 22 minutes and I still don't have my prepaid order. Lobby is closed and doors are locked. Drive through is doing a steady business but my order was never brought out. Called a second time and the employee told me he brought the order out and couldn't find me.
