This is a busy location, but they run very efficiently. It's a fast food, Mediterranean spot. You're able to get in and to get out. They have indoor and outdoor seating. There's plenty of parking spaces in the shared parking area. The staff were friendly I ordered a chicken pita. The temperature in textures were great, however, it was quite salty. I always love Showmar's. I have never had a bad experience at any location. I go to this one often because it's near work. I love the area and it's usually very easy to find a parking spot. Showmars has come a long way from the old-school version .... food was fresh, hot and tasty. I think Covid has made it even better honestly. The restaurant was clean, staff were attentive and we left quite pleased. I don't know what they do to their chicken, but it's always perfectly seasoned, tender and tasty. I have always loved Showmars. The burgers and flounder and salads have always been perfect. The burger I got today - chili burger, extra slaw- had very little chili . It also had cheese - which I did NOT request. It's a good thing I ordered extra slaw or I wouldn't have gotten any.... The fresh fruit was delicious! The fries, as usual, tasted like fried cardboard- nothing new there.. . The seats are awfully low for us short folks - remember to bring your "adult booster seat"! And bring a jacket! It's like an icebox! But- the people are friendly , the sanitation grade is great(97) , and everything appears clean. Some servers wear masks, some don't. It's quiet, for the most part, with some some calm classic oldies playing in the background. All in all, I still love Showmars.. improve the fries and put more chili, slaw, onions on the "old-fashioned CHILI burger" and it will be perfect! read more

Showmars has really come a long way. I remember years ago when they were the first stop for the closest thing a chain could come to southern fried food that was a lot like going to a barbecue joint or a fish camp. My go-to meal was always the platter of fried shrimp, crinkle cut French fries and hush puppies. These days they've done well to hop on the healthier food train and offer more well balanced options. On this first visit in at least 5 years I ordered the grilled chicken Santorini entrée. They were quite accommodating of dietary issues when I requested dairy items on the side and no pita points. The whole meal was incredible. Yeah, you'll pay a higher price for healthy even here. But I really thought this was worth it. While you still can find a lot of their fried favorites it was a necessity for survival for them to get more green stuff on the menu. And I don't mean fried ocra. The staff is also super friendly these days, though I don't honestly remember exactly how they were long ago. I'd compare it to visiting a Chick-fil-A if that can be used as an industry standard. I bet I'll be back now that I know what they've got to offer. read more

I've been eating at Showmars for 20 years and dinner last night at the Providence Rd location had to have been the worst meal I've ever eaten at any Showmars. My pita burger patty was so thin and overcooked as was my husband's. We shared an order of onion rings that were so greasy and our friend's chicken filets were more breading than chicken. I'll continue to eat at Showmars but never again at this subpar location. read more

Here is a little Update for Showmars - ordered the Fried Flounder last night . It came with coleslaw and I got the side salad instead of fries. Take out is hard for a fried item because it steams in the container while you are bringing it home. But I placed it in the toaster oven and it was perfect . It is a nice flaky fish with no bad fishy flavor. I would tell anyone who likes flounder to get it . I got the three pieces and it was a great amount ! read more

Their ad says everybody loves Showmars and I wholeheartedly agree.This location is down the road from my kids' school and, as we drive by daily, tempts us to stop for quick tasty meal. Showmars does serve good food fast as they claim but what they don't mention is what excellent customer service they offer. In my mind, it even rivals that of the gold standard in customer service, Chick-fil-A. The same holds true for their sanitary rating. Their menu is diverse yet compact enough to display on a clearly read message board above their cashiers. It includes excellent burgers, some of the best gyros around at any price, large fresh salads, fried seafood, marinated beef and chicken tip platters and much more. Other bonuses include very affordable substantial kids meals at around 5 bucks and crushed ice fountain drinks that they faithfully keep topped off. On top of everything else, they even regularly mail out $2 and $4 off coupons. For me, they are easily earn a five star rating among restaurants in their category. read more

The Providence location is clean and has a friendly staff I advise calling in order or placing order online if you are not eating in the restaurant b/c its always busy at dinner time. I often enjoy the gyro platter (2 meals great for Keto), chef salad with shrimp or the world famous fish sandwich which are all delicious! Wow! There was a man who opened the door for me as I entered the restaurant. He greeted me and ushered me up to the register. He even took my order and after the food arrived at my table, he came over to check on me! It was like a personal concierge service. Impressive. I had the chef salad with chicken and warm wheat pita bread. The salad was fresh and was served with a great presentation. It's been forever since I popped in here. I just always thought of this as a place with very fast food. What I experienced today changed my mind completely and I will be back. Sorry, but I have been to Showmar's several times and can't climb aboard the Love Train like so many locals. It isn't unpleasant, but the ambience is meh, the food is meh, the price isn't a wallet-buster, but there are other places I can think of which are comparable in price and superior in taste. This was my first ever visit to any Showmar's. I didn't realize that it was an order at the counter place until we walked in- but it was exactly what I wanted, because I was STARVING! We both ordered the grilled chicken pita. There was a choice of white or wheat. We both made it a combo. The sandwich itself was around 6.99 and the combo added a few more dollars. The side choices were plentiful but we both decided to get fries. We sat down with our number and our food arrived in around 10 minutes. The sandwiches were a good size and tasted super fresh! Not greasy at all. I usually like extra taziki but I forgot to ask for it and there was plenty on there, even for me! Plenty of fries too...and I finished my plate! We really like this Showmars. This has become our favorite weekday restaurant when we want to grab a good quick meal. The service is exceptional. They hire bright, clean cut students that will keep your beverage cup full and ensure you are 100% happy with your dining experience. Every meal we have had has been good. what happened showmars??? This location used to be one of the best, tonight...ugh. New menu....the sliced pork tenderloin is still season well but the quality of the pork was poor, extremely fatty. When the young female employee that comes back to check if everything is ok I addressed this to her. The response was "wow, I'm sorry. Horrible experience with this location yesterday. They forgot our drinks and our food was not accurate. When my husband got back home with our order I realized we did not get the 2 sodas we ordered. I called 2 times and was put on hold forever. Finally the 2nd time the manager gets back on the phone. When I explained what happened she said you have 2 options. Option one was to come back and get the drinks and she would refund my money and give me free drinks. I said I was not going to drive 10 minutes each way while my food got cold to get the drinks. She said option 2 is to get free drinks when I come back. I said no, that was not fair. She should comp us at least one meal. She said "well I am not going to comp you a free meal". I repeated what she had said about driving back up there and wasting gas and my time due to their mistake. She said "sorry" that is all I am going to do. I said ok, I will post this on social media and I will not come back. She said go to our website and do it. I asked her name and she said Ivette. Not sure what has happened to customer service in our country. After hanging up we realized that the food order was also not correct. About a month ago was my first time here and I absolutely loved it. I got the grilled chicken salad and the chicken was cooked so perfectly ! The salad part was a spring mix, which was a nice surprise because most restaurants just use iceberg lettuce. The service was also phenomenal! The pita was average... the chicken had no real taste to it and they didn't put enough Tzatziki sauce on it, so really all it tasted like was pita and lettuce... So, nothing wrong with the place but just not very memorable... will probably be back some time because some other items on the menu looked pretty good. read more
