We tried this for the first time the other day and it was SO good. I make my own chicken salad so it's not a place we'd found interesting. I got the Dixie Chick and it was delicious. No gross pieces of chicken, not too heavy on the dressing and great flavor. I chose the fruit side and it was a few strawberries and grapes. My husband got the Fruity Fran BLT and he loved it. Moist chicken with apples, grapes and pecans, crispy bacon and lettuce and tomato. He said it was delicious. He chose the grape salad and I was so jealous. It sounded weird but it is just amazing. I did order a side of pimento cheese and that was not so impressive. It wasn't bad by any means, just not to my liking. We will definetly be ordering again but I will add lettuce and tomato to mine. It think that would put this yummy sandwich over the top. Everything was fresh and prepared with care. I can't wait to have it again and I hope they have a big size of that grape salad! read more

It was my first time visiting after my favorite chicken salad place down the street sadly shut down (RIP Roost). This was comparable in service and presentation, with unique offerings. I really liked the jalapeño flavor! The only thing I would strongly request is please have a gluten free bread option!! I saw another reviewer mention this so I know it's in demand - think of the people who don't write reviews. If you're concerned it won't sell, you can keep it frozen and offer it as a toasted or grilled sandwich option. I'll take the request a step further with this: I read your story while standing in line. I appreciate that the business started from the notion that everyone has a different idea of their perfect chicken salad... for those of us with gluten allergies/intolerances, sometimes that perfect chicken salad comes in the form of a sandwich so for me, you're just one star away from that perfection! On this occasion I find my self at a wonderful place for a great meal. The restaurant in question is "Chicken Salad Chick." As always on my reviews, you arrive at your destination and notice a good amount of parking and also ample room for seating. As you enter you walk up to the counter to place your order. The personnel at the restaurant are kind are very attentive and answer any questions you might encounter. The place has a warm welcoming farmhouse atmosphere, which makes you feel at home. Now the most important thing about a restaurant, the food. As the name suggests they offer chicken salads, I had the Barbie-Q Chicken Salad Chick and two sides; the Grape Salad and the soup "Loaded Baked Soup." The chicken salad I had it on a croissant bread sandwich, and I'm not an expert on chicken salads but this was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The flavor of the shredded chicken was really good the seasoning brought out the distinctive taste to the sandwich. The sides were equally delicious, the soup was next level delicious. I'm unsure what the hype about this chicken salad is? I got the buffalo one and the fancy Nancy one and both were extremely boring... Buffalo one tastes fully like buffalo-nothing else Fancy Nancy- little to almost no seasoning.. full size grapes in it?? Potato soup was pretty disappointing as well... Wow! Finally had a chance to try this newish (to me) place and REALLY enjoyed it. I was wandering around the area and thought I would stop by and try it out for an early lunch. Bonus round, they had a drive thru! Unfortunately, it was a bit on the slow side but the food made up for it. In the future, I'll skip that. The person working the window was fantastic and super kind so it finished well. I ordered a chicken salad blt on croissant and loved it! It was delicious and the perfect size. For a side I got a very well put together pasta salad and as an extra surprise it had some sort of treat that I won't even begin to describe. It was the size of a jaw breaker but was more like a petit four my mom would make in the '70's during bridge club nights. If you were born this millennium, sorry for the obscure reference. We order takeout from your New Braunfels Location and always have a lovely experience. I order online, pay for it, and my husband picks it up. Last week, your online ordering wasn't working for some reason, so I called it in. They would not take my credit card over the phone, so my husband would have to pay for it. He and I could not communicate before he got to your store. He assumed I had paid for the order, as usual, so he took the food and walked out without paying! (eek!) He called and spoke to the manager, telling him the whole story. My husband offered to come in and pay for it next week. The manager said "don't worry about it, we know y'all are regular customers." Once I found out they opened a Chicken Salad Chick in New Braunfels I hurried to this location! I just love everything about this place! Great food, great service, and a good price. This place is brand new and parking is vast since it's in a shopping center. The atmosphere is warm and homey and the menu is easy to read. The only challenging part is choosing which Chicken Salad you want! Once you order you have various options to choose from and with me I love spicy, so I ordered the Kickin Kay Lynne, which is a combination of buffalo sauce, ranch, bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, jalapeños, & Sriracha! This is such a refreshing option for a quick counter service lunch. You can have a delicious sandwich, soup or salads. I tried the combo with a sandwich and one side - which comes with a little iced sugar cookie that satisfies that sweet craving I always have after a spicy meal. I had the jalapeño holly chicken salad on a toasted croissant with the broccoli salad as a side. It was all delicious! I loved the spice in the jalapeño chicken salad, and the broccoli salad had just the right amount of sauce on it (not drowned in mayo) so that you can actually feel like you are eating something healthy! Ohh today was opening day and I was number 51 out of 100!! This is my first time have Chicken Salad Chick and yum, I just know I love me some chicken salad. For today being opening day they were moving like a well oiled machine. I only had to stand in the first line for about 15 minutes to lock in my place as the first 100 customers. Then it was time for the real line, with the door officially being opened!! This process flew by too with amazing customer service and personable conversation and recommendations for us first timers. While waiting in line I was about to look around and appreciate the simple setup inside and there are plenty of tables to sit at, ohh and a Drive Thur! I took the food to go, once I made it home I was able to check out my Olivia's Old South on a croissant with tomato and lettuce and for my side a loaded potato soup. My husband got the Buffalo Barclay on a croissant with tomato and lettuce and for his side, he got the poblano mac & cheese (seasonal). I saw this and I was like no way a store selling chicken salad will be a good place to eat. I was wrong. I keep going back to try the other flavors and they keep showing me how wrong I was! The service was nice and efficient. They all work very well together and it looks like a well oiled machine back there. As of today, I have been 4 times and have tried 4 different variations of their chicken salad and all of them have been absolutely delicious! We need one of these closer to my part of town. First time here. Came on a Saturday with the hubs and sis. Hubs had the chicken salad with jalapeños on croissant, chicken tortilla soup. Sis got the regular chicken salad also on croissant with poblano chicken soup. I got the regular chicken salad on toasted white with chicken tortilla soup. Love the little cookie it comes with. They served my food without the bread toasted but fixed it! We all enjoyed our food! I will definitely try another chicken salad next time! The one with sweet pickles I think. The server was patient as it was our first time and she made some good suggestions and answered our questions. Good didn't come out sooner fast or slow. A nice medium! I'm making this review in regards of this location only. My mom & I went through the drive thru today and after waiting a while for our food we got it and took off. We live 30+ minutes away, so to come here is definitely out of our way. We get home and realize that we only had one meal, even though we were charged for two. I called the store to see what they can do about the situation, considering how far away we live and they claimed that they couldn't give me a refund, but offered to save my name for a future order and said the reason for the mistake was that the woman who was giving us our food didn't let us know that we had to wait for the other meal. Lesson learned that we should always check our food before leaving, but we were in a hurry and the excuse and solution for the situation was not right, as living so far away from the location and the customer service that we received certainly doesn't make us want to return. All I really want is my money back because thanks to the situation a person was left without a meal and I'm out $10. read more

I don't know who is working the window today she was rude to my Sister in Law at the window. She didn't want me to say anything but I believe in accountability. We placed an order online and we eat Chicken Salad Chick at least 2 times a week. Never have we been told we had to stop at the intercom, which is fine if that's what we need to do. Tell the customer in a polite way. She was rude about it & when she brought our order there was ZERO customer service skills. This was me and the wife's 1st time here. Was a great experience from walking up to counter to leaving. 1st, we were greeted by a big smile at the counter and walked thru the menu, and was not rushed. We got our drinks, and a few seconds later, our food was already being brought to the table. Then, while enjoying your food, there was a nice lady's walking around, making sure everything was OK.
