Chickens are hit and miss. Sometimes you'll end up with a nice size, juicy one, sometimes you'll get a smaller or dried out one. Overall good though. Only problem is they ILLEGALLY surcharge you when you use a debit card. Debit cards are NOT supposed to be surcharged like credit cards per state law (all 50 states actually). When mentioned they simply say they apply the surcharge to both. Duh. That's why I mentioned it. "No, it is not legal to surcharge debit card transactions, as all major card brands explicitly prohibit it to protect consumers from unexpected fees. Good food at a decent price. Been coming here on and off for lunch for a few years now. While they have a pretty good and varied menu, I usually order mainly the quarter chicken with the 2 sides. I do like the curly fries for the times I have ordered that. The quality has been pretty consistent over the years. The only complaint I would have is that sometimes they will mess up the sides when calling in. I know it gets busy and I don't really mind if I ordered mixed vegetables and get mashed potatoes instead, but not all customers are as easy going as I am. It hasn't happened that often, but often enough to where I needed to address it. During the lunch rush, it can get busy inside. If you're coming for take out, I would greatly suggest calling in order ahead of time. Sometimes there's a line inside and even though your order could be ready to go, some customers take their time while looking at the menu while ordering and it backs things up. For times like that (and it happens a lot), they need to have a second register for take out ready orders. They have some tables to eat at if you want to dine in and there's a sign that offers free Wi-Fi, but it's just too busy and at times, too hot for me to ever consider that. Someone mentioned Boston Market - I never go to Boston Market...and never will. I'm not sure about the price differences, but for what you get and from what I've tasted, you really can't go wrong with the price. Staff has been generally friendly while I have been in there, so no complaints about staff. There is a minimum for orders under $10 for a credit/debit card for those whole don't carry cash around these days. Located in a small parking lot, that can be busy near the entrance. I'm always passing this place, so I decided to stop in on my way from, Larchmont. It's situated in a mini outdoor mall so there's paking. This place was quite small it seats about six inside, and I think four outside. I ordered the whole chicken meal with pita bread and two sides. The wait was about twenty minutes and my name was called. I took the food home its was still hot.The chicken was so tender and had a nice smokiness to it. I got a whole chicken as a main, but also got a side of the crispy wings. The whole chicken was amazing. Cooked perfectly. Must have been slow cooked too bc the meat falls off the bone. I have to say CGW is pretty good. They have an extensive menu from chicken, sandwiches, burgers, ribs and a ton of cold and hot sides to choose from. I've only tried there roasted chicken but I was satisfied with it. It was juicy and tasty! I would definitely recommend it for anyone to try. The first time I ordered I got a half chicken, love the dark more so than the white. The second time, I had a 1/4 white chicken. Not as great, little dry but still tasty. Stick to the dark if you're not picky. The sides are good as well. I recommend the sweet potato fries, they do show up soggy but that doesn't bother me, still tasty. Also, I recommend the sweet corn, the name holds true. The Mac and cheese was disappointing. Very bland, I was expecting a little more of a kick to it or something unique but it tasted like a generic supermarket brand. Prices are reasonable and you're left full. Half chicken with 2 sides with pita is $6.99 and if you do a half, it's only $8.49. Ribs are a little more pricier, in the teen$, but that's next on my list to check out. They do take a long time to deliver, even when you call on a week night. I'm sure if I pick it up, it'll be a little sooner. But I've waited an hour one night and an hour and 15 minutes another, just for 2 orders. I must first admit that I'm a stickler for great service and good food. Having said this, I think that anything more than 2 or 3 stars for this establishment is not an accurate rating. I ordered online and my order was somehow confused by the employees and it took longer than necessary for them to get it together. My family and I ordered a $100 worth of food to be delivered. Food was great, but we specifically asked for blue cheese-a lot of it and we received NONE. Three of our orders were shrimp salad, one order had 5 shrimp, the other two had 3 shrimp. Also they were skimming on the pita for the chicken and we ordered quite a bit of chicken. We called to complain, the cook- who seems to be the manager there argued with us about the meals and what we ordered and didn't order.
