Soft drinks machine was shut off. Water was the only non caffeinated beverage that had to be purchased by the bottle. Chicken was undercooked. Chairs stuck to floor requiring a good tug to free. They have a cute wall but everything else is horrible. We went in on a Sunday at 1pm and found a singular employee in the entire restaurant. He was quiet, mumbling his words, and didn't know what he was talking about. We all ordered our food and found a place to sit. The drinks (of that which were available) were very syrupy and didn't taste right at all. This brings me to the first picture of the soda machines. Much like a "Where's Waldo" portrait, the longer you look, the more you see. Except instead of a dopamine hit, it's a slight feeling of dread that compounds with every find. First, we have two drinks out of order. That happens, no big deal. As we continue to look at the machine we notice its base is propped up by two styrofoam cups. Still weird, but not too nasty. To the right there are also no napkins. I find this is more than a minor inconvenience when eating finger food. Lastly, but certainly most unsettling, is the bug trap set up just to the left of the machine. I appreciate you using a trap, but right next to drinks and where food is bound to be put down? After 10 minutes, I alone received my food. Except it wasn't what I ordered. I ordered the sandwich pictured in the restaurant which was advertised as the chicken salad sandwich and received what consisted of lettuce, tomatoes, and chicken. I clarified I had actually ordered the chicken salad sandwich (because this was obviously not that) and the singular man assured me that was correct. Another 15 minutes pass by and the rest of my family gets their food. The glorified bar food was mediocre at best and my family wasn't even interested in finishing. He also forgot an order of fries. This is impressive because of the 5 customers in the entire building, my family was 5 of them. As we were leaving, another poor man and his family walked in to order. I felt a moral obligation to turn him away. This was also right as we passed the pitiful 80 on the inspection report. I usually let this stuff go, but as someone who appreciates food, I felt it would be a disservice to society to let this place continue to have an inflated 4.4 stars. A lot of the same as what most people are saying... Only one person working, although the service was fine. It is clearly just frozen food that has been heated up. It literally looked like frozen chicken tenders from Walmart. Not as advertised at all. they're clearly trying to run this as cheaply as possible. To be clear, this was not what I was expecting. Website was very misleading. It made the restaurant and food look clean, modern, and fresh. The actual restaurant was none of those things. Dining area felt sticky and gross, bathroom was filthy. Food was bad also. I got the hot honey sauce on the side. Delicious chicken, fries, and I love the sauces! Staff is super friendly and you can tell the love and care they put into the restaurant. It's very clean and new here, and food is delicious. I told my husband I feel like it's always freshly made and hot. Very convenient location and would recommend it if you're in the area. My girls love the chicken 'n cone! We stopped in while we shopping nearby - curious and wanted to give it a shot. It also seemed to have several options, so everyone should have something they could choose from. I decided to get the mac and cheese, topped with the chicken bites in garlic parmesan seasoning - and it had fries underneath it, if I remember right. It was a very heavy meal. I was going to get the buffalo seasoning, but saw they had this one and had to try it out. My wife got the chick'n cone with the cinna-maple seasoning. My sister in law just got a side order of fries with cajun as she wasn't that hungry. It's a novelty, and I'd consider stopping in again, but I'm not sure if I'd make it a regular stop. read more

Food was good. If you like fried chicken tenders you'll love this place. They had wings on the menu, but were out of wings on Friday evening (around 6p-ish). I ordered 4 entrees (2 were meals) to go and it took over 30 minutes. It wasn't busy. There was one other patron (who I think may have just been a family member because they weren't eating or waiting for food). "it's perfect... simple... chicken. and cone." Flow and Options: They don't overcomplicate here. Chick' Cone serves chicken and they serve it well. Options include the nuggets in a waffle cone, sandwich, tenders, or a bowl (chicken + fries + mac n cheese + sauce). There's also a kids' option with tenders or a salad with nuggets on it. Sauces come in a variety - enough to narrow it down, they not too many where you just pick where your eyes go. They do the Peri Peri well here, and each flavor tastes as it's advertised - even the kickin' ranch is a toned down ranch flavor with a bit of tang. Options are a fair amount for a meal. It's nice to get the meal and add a side - shoestring fries, buttery corn kernels, or mac n cheese. If you aren't a Pepsi fan (it's all in the Mountain Dew, Dr. Pepper, and pineapple Stubborn soda for me here), they do have slushies and milkshakes. Service: It's pretty quiet and spacious in here, so the service is very patient and kind. At the order counter, the manager is happy to provide some tips for ordering and explain the sauce flavors to meet your palate. The place is clean, and though the bathroom is not modern or updated, it's well-kept. Chicken: There's not much for a vegetarian here. The chicken bites are juicy and crunchy just as you'd desire. The sauce balances perfectly with the flavor of the breading, and it sits inside the crevices of the fried exterior so it's saucy yet doesn't drip. Each nugget would meet a quality inspection, so you're not getting anything chewy or overcooked here. Like any nuggets, they get cool pretty quickly and lose that original bite of texture and temperature, but they hold up alright. A note about the waffle cone - it's a good vessel for the chicken for sure. It doesn't break unnecessarily, granted it does come in a stand. The cone isn't necessarily crisp and doesn't have that sweet ice cream flavor, but it's slightly crunchy/soft and fun to hold. Overall, this place fits their brand. My family and I came in for the first time today off of another Yelp review we saw! We really loved the idea and it's something different that we don't have in our area. Disclaimer: I'm pregnant so this next opinion could totally just be me, but the smell of the restaurant really threw me off at first. It is VERY overwhelmingly sweet, which I think comes from the waffle cones, but I just had to mention. The cone is such a neat idea, but I definitely don't think it could replace your traditional chicken and waffles. As far as the sauces go, I was very pleasantly surprised by "yella BBQ" and would definitely get that again. It's a cross between honey mustard and bbq that definitely belongs on your chicken! The only other wish I have for this establishment would be a larger selection in sauces. If they had a mild hot sauce I would be in heaven. It's not something we'd come to every day or even every week, but I think it's a neat concept and a fun thing to try! read more

Chicken is wonderful! It's crispy on the outside, but not heavy and meaty on inside with real white meat chicken. I have tried the buffalo, cinnamon maple, and garlic parm and they are all great. I've had the bowl and cone. The bowl was nice so you can try 3 things at the same time, but I wasn't too much of a fan of mac and cheese (not my favorite thing anywhere, actually). The fries are good, but I wasn't prepared that they have a Cajun seasoning on them. I will stick to the simple cone since I've had it with different sauces; I no longer feel I must use the maple. The people here (I think 2 must be owners because they are always here) are very friendly and customer focused. I think I like it that they don't have music or anything playing to make it loud, just a nice relaxing meal. read more

Food was unique and decent for what it is? The servers where are Incredibly nice and sociable. My concern was with how filthy all the dining tables where for being completely empty and 4-5 people working.. Tried sitting outside and looks like the tables haven't been wiped down in weeks. Inside wasn't much better and made me question their overall cleanliness. The decor is very sparse and some of which literally taped to the wall with large pieces of tape... Stopped by while shopping to get a small snack. We ended up getting a milkshake and some fries. The fries were full of flavor and the sauces that we got were packed with flavor. It was on the pricey side for just a snack. Customer service was fantastic. Conner, who took our order was very charismatic and obviously passionate about the business. They even threw in some extra chicken tenders when we didn't order them, which were tasty. Overall, good food, great customer service, but a tad on the pricey side. The fries and Mac n Cheese (the 2 things i had today with the Chicken Strips) were well seasoned with something I can't quite put my finger on, but is really good. Unique establishment and super great employees. We walked in and immediately were told it was going to be a longer than normal wait. There were only two employees working, one at the register and one cooking. To back up the extra long wait claim, a women confirmed that she had been waiting for 45 minutes for a sandwich only. The three stars was not due to the wait , and was not lower due to the hard working and very apologetic employees. The three stars is due to no paper towel anywhere in either bathroom, a few of the 8 drink choices were out and a few other small things. The choices are unique and it is a fun experience, however if you have a picky eater you may be in a predicament. There was no regular buffalo or something similar, so you may be in a difficult situation with younger children or pick eaters. Lastly, there was a smokey feeling in the air that eventually caused our whole parties eyes to get red and watery, almost like a light pepper spray. read more

Food was okay... not a great value for the money. Staff seemed overwhelmed-not sure if they were not expecting the volume of lunch business they had or what. We put our order in through the Yelp app powered via grub hub for pickup. Estimate said it would be ready in 20-40 minutes. We were about 15 minutes away... when we got there, I had my son check and he was unceremoniously told "no-it's not ready" without a hint at an estimate of when it would be ready or the courtesy of our fountain drink cups to fill. I went back in five minutes later and they said it was almost ready, I had to prompt them to get the drink cups. The syrup was out for the pineapple cream soda (I let them know so they could change it when they had a chance) and area in front of drinks was very sticky. Food portions were small and only okay. I really, really wanted to like and support this business. I may give them another shot-hopefully they can work out staff kinks and get their service up to par. read more

I wanted to like this. The idea is golden--chicken in a waffle cone!--but the execution is lacking. Price is very high for what it is. Overall it was a disappointing and weird experience. Food taste/quality: I ordered a chicken cone with the kickin' ranch sauce and fries. My child had a chicken cone with the maple sauce on the side (if your kid is anything like mine, the sauces won't be appetizing and they won't want them already on the chicken) and mac and cheese. Chicken was good and ranch sauce was good, but it was just that in a thin waffle cone. The combination didn't stand out as anything special. I will say that the waffle cone was warm and just barely soft, which was a nice touch, but it was awkward to eat *as a cone*. I ended up using a fork and occasionally taking a bite of the cone. The fries were warm (not hot) and rather limp. My kid ate the mac and cheese, but he was not too impressed. And as far as his entree went, all he really had was a waffle cone and plain chicken nuggets with ketchup, which (I get) was his fault, but as the person who bankrolled this experience I thought it was a waste of money. Choice: In addition to chicken breast nuggets sauced in a waffle cone, the menu does have other ways to get chicken--a sandwich, a bowl, and a box were options--but none of those come with any kind of waffle, which seems to me like a missed opportunity for a restaurant that touts itself as a place that sells chicken and waffle cones. In addition to fries and mac and cheese you can also get cajun corn (weird). Service: There were two workers who greeted us and were friendly. They were reasonably speedy. Our food came out within 4-5 minutes of ordering, clearly having been fresh-cooked (not sure about the fries, though). While friendly, service was definitely weird. When I picked my food up from the counter the server said "Congratulations on your chicken cone." I wasn't sure what to do with that. It's not like I had just won gold in the 100m. I didn't even do anything special at all. I just paid $26.73 for two mediocre chicken dishes, limp fries, and meh mac and cheese. Beverages: Fountain drinks are Pepsi products only. No tea. Water is served in very, very, very small plastic cups barely larger than a shot glass. They do have shakes (didn't try) and slushes (for some reason), the latter of which counts as a "drink" in a combo meal. My kid got the blue slush and liked it. It was sugary ice, though, and that's always a winner for him. Still, the slushes were a weird option. Environment, etc.: Restaurant was clean but spartan. No frills. For condiments you get ketchup...that's it. Some inspirational message about chicken from Maya Angelou was on the wall (weird), with the word "CONGRATULATIONS" inscribed beneath it (again, weird), but that's it. Bare walls painted in garish orange and white. Bottom line: Altogether, it was not a *bad* experience, but I won't be doing it again. I think there are better ways to spend $13.37 to stuff my face with chicken and fries. Maybe if the fries had been stellar, or if the chicken cone had some kind of garnish (scallions, cheese, onions?), or if I had gotten some kind of party hat to go with the congratulatory message. But, for what it was, I won't be back. read more
