Omg now I understand its compelling presence via IG. Finally, us northenders can indulge in Chicko Chicken Korean style fried chicken in Mountlake Terrace! Easy access from I-5 or Hwy 99 @ 220th. Stopped in during their grand opening (5/16/26). Located next door to Azteca & shares a large parking lot with other businesses. Bright interior with ample table or counter seating. We decided to dine onsite, while others preferred takeout The Homie got half size (9 pieces) boneless chicken thigh meat with herb and cheese powder. Tasty, but The Homie would have preferred a combo of boneless and bone-in wings, like other Korean fried chicken spots. I opted for the half size (6 pieces) bone-in chicken with soy garlic sauce. I was full after a wing flat, wing drumette, and sampling one of the above. Flavorful, juicy, and hot! Huge chicken pieces to take home. Personable onsite counter service during the grand opening. Definitely we plan on visiting again in the future!

Always had a craving for Korean Fried Chicken and heard about this new spot that opened up near me. Glad I gave it a try! the bone in chicken ALWAYS comes out crispy, juicy and perfectly coated in your sauce of choice. I love the shaken fries as well, the fries are crispy with a light batter and go great with the Honey Butter powder. I love the soy garlic and janhgyeom flavor as wel, really can't go wrong either any flavor here. Quality chicken and taste.

Wow. Delicious korean fried chicken! Crispy, korean glaze was delicious, a bit sweet and I wish they gave pickled radish with it. The cheese powder is also unique to seattle, but very common in korea- glad they have it here! Note that they put the big pieces at the top but when we got the bottom pieces they were like half the size lol

So, I ordered the YANGYEOM Crispy Fried Chicken half order. As far as the service it was ok nothing bad or great. Took 20 minutes or so not mad about that when they are cooking to order so I'm fine with the wait. Now as far as the chicken the flavor of the sauce was really good, the chicken meat itself was bland the sauce makes up for it. Very crispy that a plus. Not as far as the price paying $17+ after taking for what you get is a little too much. I been to a good amount of Korean Fried Chicken places and honestly all are overpriced but with this place you have to pay for the pickled radish most places give to you depending on what you order. Here no matter what you order you pay extra for it. Pickled radish is a staple for the chicken it should come it In my opinion. I may or may not return. I was waiting for them to open was excited but after I came not sure anymore unfortunately

Cheese snow half bone in :)

A couple of friends and I dropped by during their grand opening and the staff is super friendly and very clean store. I tried their Kirkland location and am excited to have one close by now. Tried their cheese snow chicken and it was nice and crispy.

They had plenty of seating available, and service was quick since it wasn't too busy. I got the squid dolsot bibimbap, and they gave us 12 banchan to start. Half we hits and half were misses - standouts were the marinated egg, fish cakes, glazed potatoes, pickled daikon, and cucumber kimchi. Since it was late we didn't get to refill throughout our meal since they closed the kitchen :( The dolsot bibimbap was pretty good - the sauce was tasty, and there was plenty of squid inside. However, my main complaint is that there was literally no crispy rice which is the entire point of dolsot bibimbap. I didn't even mix the edges the entire time so I could maximize how long it crisped up, but it never really did. Service was friendly though, and overall it was still really good!

Server was a very nice young fellow that was great to talk to and very efficient. It was not very busy. My boyfriend and I stopped by here after a long drive from Kent as we are staying at a nearby hotel…read morefor a convention and it was pretty late so most places were closed. I had Dawa on my bookmarks for a long time ever since I saw videos about it and just the overall good reviews. We came in and saw that the place was pretty packed on a Thursday night but we were noticed quickly by a male employee and seated right away thankfully. Once we were seated, we were handed water and utensils as well as directions on how we can order as they have a small kiosk. We put in our order of galbi fried chicken, pork on the bone stew or gamjatang, and grilled pork belly. Once the order was entered, our waiter came back with rice, banchan, sauces and accompaniments for the pork belly, salad (think it comes with the grilled pork belly), pickled radish for the chicken and plates and bowls to share. It didn't take too long for food to come back but it didn't all come together which was odd but luckily the chicken was for sharing. The gamjatang was huge and pretty good, not as good as one of my favorite places in Federal Way but I will admit that they do give some huge pieces of meat and offer a one time refill of the soup. It could use more of a kick and more seasoning. The chicken as many others have mentioned was extremely well-fried, marinated and extremely huge. I do think they have the biggest Korean fried chicken pieces that I have ever seen in Washington. The meat was juicy, the outside was crunchy, and the sauce was heavenly. My boyfriend did say the grilled pork belly was some of the best he has ever had in his life, which is super high praise and I will admit that it is very good as well! They had an interesting playlist ranging from K-pop to regular pop (lots of Justin Bieber) and sometimes they would tone it down a bit then start blasting it. The two male servers working that day (7/16/26) were fantastic about checking in at perfect times, were courteous and refilled our waters. We never had to use to kiosk to call them once which I appreciated very much. My boyfriend and I look forward to coming back and definitely want to give a heads up that their portions are huge so come hungry!

Seems like more of a social hangout spot for late night eating and or drinking. If you want a nice quiet dinner, this isn't the spot. My group and I ordered the Korean fried chicken and the kimchi pancake to start. The appetizers didn't take that long to come out. Everything came out hot and fresh. The chicken was standard fried chicken size and came with 10 pieces. It came with 2 pieces of drumsticks and the rest were chicken thighs. The kimchi pancake was super crispy. We also ordered the beef tofu soup and the chicken bulgogi entree. The tofu soup was a lot - it did not come with an egg unlike other spots. The chicken entree was flavorful overall.

I love everything; perhaps the octopus could be cooked a little longer to tenderize more. I love the crunchiness from it, and the crunchiness from the black mushroom too. Maybe the chef can find a way to achieve just enough tenderness while still being crunchy, which would be perfect. Another thing, my bowl looks burned on the edges. Kudos to all staff! I have noticed that they always work together seamlessly as a team. They communicate and clean the tables together in an efficient manner. Please keep up the great work!

Now if you want to read more: This place reminds me of those family owned restaurants in K dramas, where the main character girl goes after being yelled at the office or after a long day. You know, that one place with just a few tables and an auntie running everything. She rarely talks to the girl, but when she does, she somehow sheds light and clears that poor girl's mind. Yes, this place gives me that kind of vibe... or I just overthink. Anyways, I ordered the combo with black bean noodles and sweet and sour pork. Although they're supposed to be half and half, the portion was actually big enough to feed an adult who isn't on a diet or afraid of carbs. There was plenty of sauce on the noodles, not just on top, but underneath as well. I loved that. Just mix it well and dig in. The only drawback for me was that the sauce was a bit mild, I prefer a saltier, more savory flavor. The sweet and sour pork was good. The pork was coated in a crispy batter, and the sauce leaned on the sweeter side. It was a nice combo, you can never go wrong with sweet and savory.
