The food is pretty good, especially your first time around, each time you go it kinda loses its novelty. My pictures doesn't do the food justice but this sandwich was pretty good. The service is good, seems like a mom and pop store that has family working there, real personal service. The ambience isn't too anything crazy , regular chicken shop setting and they play some music , seems like more of a take out place and less of a dine in place. Coming here once in a while is preferred.
We came here because we saw them on Instagram. We arrived on a weekday thirty minutes after they opened and it was pretty empty during the entire time we were there waiting for food. The restaurant itself looks new and had a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered: * Mac & Chicky Sandwich with Sweet BBQ sauce ($11.49) * Trio Jerk Chicken Platter ($16.00) * Chicky's N Tot's ($15.49 but added Mac and cheese for $3.00) * Waffle Fries ($5.49) * 2 Jarritos ($5.98) * Coke Zero ($2.99) came out to $66.35 Food itself was okay. The portions are very generous but the fried chicken itself is okay, the sauce is really what makes the dish. The jerk chicken had a good amount of heat and the coleslaw tastes like it's from the grocery store. Sweet bbq sauce is basically sweet baby rays sauce. This place is your average Instagram restaurant you see go viral online because of their massive portions. This place is a solid 3/5, not bad but not great either. I don't think I'd go out of my way to eat here again.
I went to this place in my neighborhood for some chicken. It's street parking only. It takes a while for the order so you may want to pre-order. My order took 30 minutes. I ordered the Peri Peri Half Chicken, sweet potato fries and Jerk Chicken over rice. All sauces on the side. I didn't use the sauce after I realized how spicy both dishes were without the sauce. I did try a little of the sauce. It was good. The jerk chicken was very spicy. I was still able to taste the flavors of the spices on the chicken. On the dry side because no sauce but not too bad. The peri per was also good. Very spicy also. The breast meat was very dry but the rest was good. Overall flavorful chicken.
This chicken place is serving up some good chicken options that we did enjoy. The ambiance is a medium sized open room with tables and chairs nothing special. They have a fridge with sodas and juices and desserts I don't get like tres leche but alright. The wings are great the first time I got them I got them grilled I didn't know there was two options that's what they gave me. I believe they also offer fried but the grilled It was great! It was charred and really good it's really a must have item. We got it with the lowest heat sauce but it was really, really good. I got the cheese fries which were good but def needed more cheese on them. We also got the Mac and cheese chicken sandwich I do wish it had more flavor it's really not as good as the original chicken sandwich. It had way too much mayo and no spice at all. The spicy chicken sandwich was great the chicken patty itself was huge my goodness when comparing to the bun. The sandwich is juicy and is worth the wait. But really spicy like really spicy wow. The original is good my daughter enjoyed it. Of course the food is made to order so there is a wait mine was about 20 min each time.

Ok y'all know I'm a big fan of this Chicken Craze that been popping off around town; Birdies, Dave's and Now Chicky's & they could very well be my number one beating out Birdies !!! For real yo; This is definitely a must try must go to and get ya freak on; we took a ride from Brooklyn had my Floridians in from Florida who also are in on this Chicken craze they loved their chicken as well ... super moist, tasty and crispy !!! The restaurant is very clean and their service is fast & friendly. We had the following; Chicky's & Chips, welcome to flavor town and this dish comes fully loaded just look at my pictures I highly recommend this dish especially if ya real hungry... Chicky's Jumbo Chicken Tenders; delicious fried to perfection & super moist; their Chicky sauces are game changers; also highly recommend 5 pc will definitely get you right !!! Peri Peri Rice was very nice, especially topped with their Chicky sauce ... Mac & Cheese was also on the money .... FYI; we opted not to add any heat to our chicken so we kept it mild but next visit we gonna kick it up a notch or two for Shaw !! While we were dining in we had the pleasure of meeting Sammy the owner who's such a nice guy very hospital kept coming over to our table to ask if everything was ok and everything was super delicious..... Sammy sent us a complementary order of his famous and delicious fried Oreos !!!! Also a must try... I highly recommend Chicky's if you love Ya Chicken this place will not disappoint..... Can't wait to return and explore their menu.. Thank you Sammy & the entire team at Chicky's from the front of the house to the back... What an awesome food experience..... Food here was excellent. I ordered the chickys burger it was really good, tasty but i couldn't finish it. The tenders were good, huge too but couldn't finish it. The service was cool. But a lil bit confusing because the guy was telling us he had no more rice but we could substitute the rice, but would have to pay more, I didn't get that. The place was clean af too!
Can't go wrong with Fried Chicken for a weekend lunch. Ambience: Walking into Chicky's was like walking into a takeout in the hood. You order at the counter, pick up your food and sit at one of the few tables. Food: I ordered: Chicky's Fried Chicky's Chicken Over Rice - crunchy nuggets of fried chicken bathed in a spicy sauce over a bed of rice. Just the right amount of heat, crunch and texture. 4/5 Chicky's Spicy Chicken Sandwich - spicy fried chicken sandwich. Need I say more? Better than Wendy's but short of Popeyes. 4/5 Peri Peri fries - French fries with some Cajun seasoning? 2/5
The Nashville chicken over fries was quite good and if you can handle a decent amount of spice, I recommend you opt for their spicier sauces. Prices were okay, kinda pricey for what you get but everything is pricey nowadays. The coleslaw on the food was kinda mid imo but that's me comparing it to the cole slaw at two other hot chicken joints in NY. That said, no one is coming to a joint like this for the coleslaw so my criticism is irrelevant.

Preferred the chicken over rice (basmati) with the sauces on the side. Shredded chicken has good grilled flavor. They put too much sauce when you order with already. Couldn't taste the chicken anymore. Small place, i think 4 tables for 4. Ok service.
The sign isn't well lit so you can end up passing this place by and there's only street parking available. The staff was cool, quick and helpful. The ambiance is interesting with black and white as there base colors and flames to add some flare. The chicken over rice was good, I really like how the chicken was grilled it had a good flavor and texture and the chicky's sauce is good if you like white sauce you like the chicky's sauce. The fries did what a fry is supposed to do but the chicken sandwich was mostly bread with a small slice of meat not sure what that was about, not sure if I'll be back but it was worth a try.
This is very disappointing that one my favorite spots to eat in Ny is losing their touch , i cant even explain the feeling i had when i ate this and let alone made me sick to my stomach and dislike This Store. Something needs to be done their food are good but not everything you see in Pictures are Promised please save your money and time
Upon ordering I read the reviews and it was rated really high in which I had really high hopes for this place. It looked really good in the pictures but it just tasted very and soggy. I didn't taste any spice to it. Although I did let it sit for 10 minutes before eating which could be the reason it got soggy, but I really did not enjoy the chicken sandwich. Maybe the other choices would taste better.
An assuming shop that churns out some really different types and varieties of chicken dishes. The chicken had a nice charcoal smoked taste to it and their sauces were really nice as well. The service was good. We picked up our food to go. Definitely worth a try. read more

I LOVE peri peri chicken so had to try this out. The quality of the flame grilled wings here are excellent! They are made to order so it takes a while but it's definitely worth the wait. Wings were cooked to perfection with just the right amount of heat (we got the mango habanero flavor). The chicken sandwich... was HUGE. Had to cut it in half and share. You can opt out of getting the sandwich with their hot sauce and replace with any other sauce if you can't handle too much heat. Overall very delicious and perhaps one of my new go-to spots. read more

Went to chicky's twice now and both times I've been impressed with both the service and the food! Food: I got the Mac and Chicky's sandwich The first time I went and I liked it so much I got it the second time as well. The Chicky's n chips is also a favorite of mine and a lot of my friends, it's definitely a must try! I also really like the chicken skewers which I didn't expect to be as good as it was but I think the sauces that they put on top makes the chicken taste really good! Also the chicken was really juicy and the flavor of the sauce complement that. There was not a single item I tried that I did not like, all their food is amazing! Also did I mention how generous the portions are?! Service: The service here is great, no complaints here! They work diligently and get you the order pretty quickly. Ambiance: it's definitely a casual place and there is Seating set up inside but it's relatively small. I will definitely be returning to try more of their items such as the rice platters! read more
The interior wasn't as clean as i would like a place to be but the food was good. The fries and mango chicken kebab took about an hour to be made. I wasn't called when it was ready either. The food tasted so good though. The waffle fries were the bomb. read more

The perfect blend of flavor and chicken. This place has the best customer service (10) and food (10 ). Chicky's and chips is very kids friendly and stays fresh up to an hour easily. The flame grilled chicken (without skewers) is tender and flavorful. This is our go to place for peri peri style chicken with American twist. The place is 100% halal. The owner is amazing and pays very close attention to orders. Their desserts are good. I have had fried oreos so far but really want to go back for falooda. Mango habanero is our favorite sauce but their medium sauce is delicious too. Must give this place a try. read more

The spicy chicken sandwich was great! Comes Chicky's hot which is probably really spicy because I got one step below that and my sinuses were running. Would probably get one more level down next time. Lots of food for the money. One thing I didn't like about the sandwich was the amount of batter used, it was way too much. But if you eat it hot and go in with the mindset of eating fried chicken you will love it. The wings were really good. Def worth it. I got the mango habanero, which were spicier than I expected but still spot on. The quality of the chicken is really good. The fried oreos with ice cream was delicious as well. My first time trying fried oreos and was not disappointed. read more
CHICKEN SANDWICH REVIEW: For $9.99, the appeal of Chicky's MASSIVE Chicken Sandwich could be comparable to that of a Popeyes Sandwich. (The Chicky's patty was monstrous in size, though, so perhaps that's where the few bucks come into play a part?) There definitely was a flavor & spice kick in the Chicky's Chicken Sandwich. I also loved the overall makeup of the sandwich--the brioche buns, the breading, and the sauces all worked splendidly. Although this just felt more authentic & homemade when compared to the chain counterpart, it's the price that I found to be questionable for this dish. It was also honestly VERY breaded, which I found slightly overwhelming towards the end. Regardless, Chicky's serves a mean Chicken Sandwich that I'd recommend personally trying for yourself. *Not Pictured: I had also ordered the GARLIC BREAD, which was bangin'. It was NOT lacking in flavor, and I liked the fact that it wasn't too overpoweringly greasy/oily. Honestly speaking, the meal was enjoyable but I do think the prices could be lower by a few bucks (particularly speaking about the Chicken Sandwich). Honestly prices are just going everywhere I can't even complain but like $7 bucks to sit in that dirty spot seriously ??? Food was ok not something I would recommend or go back again. Cheese was not melted I would assume at least melt the cheese on the sandwich .. anywho $60 bucks for three sandwich and two soda and cheese fries.. I feel like I got robbed.. read more

Came to Chicky's on a Sunday night. PACKED ! But after trying the food I realized why. We ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and half chicken with french fries. All I can say is that if you think the Popeyes chicken sandwich is good, you haven't had a Chicken Sandwich from here ! Impeccable flavor and not dry at all. The chicken is extremely tender and succulent. The Chicky's team is friendly, welcoming and they're always checking up to ensure your experience is amazing. For dessert we got the fried Oreo. Literally everything you expect it to be. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !! read more

OMG AMAZING! You have to visit this place if you're in the area, Spice selection for beginner to FIRE. We ordered the Dirty Fries, Chicky Poutine Fries, Nashville Sandwich and Mac & Chickys!!! Totally fresh, totally filling in a nice clean environment, staff was super generous and engaging with the quality of food, It's always nice to be asked if you enjoyed your meal and what the best part was! Everything here is made fresh and is grilled to perfection. Not gonna lie - I usually don't like Peri Peri chicken, but something about Chicky's is different. They make everything fresh and marinate the chicken so well. The Chickys sandwich stayed crunchy and juicy for the longest time - especially considering we took pictures of it for like 10 minutes lolol Would highly recommend the wings, the skewers, the chicken with garlic bread, the rice, & the sandwich - ok so basically everything. It was a pretty nice Saturday night. My friend and I were looking for a new place to eat. I used my Yelp "special abilities" and found a Hot and New place to eat. That place happened to be Chicky's. Parking is pretty limited since only street parking is available. There is a lot right next to the restaurant that belongs to the diner next door though. There are signs posted that the lot is for diner patrons only and if you are not, you will be towed. Park there at your own risk like I did. Upon entering the restaurant there was a group of people dining. We walked up to the counter. The menus are well lit on three TV's above the cashier. We were greeted very friendly by the cashier and asked if we needed menus to order. We explained that we reviewed the menu online and had an idea what we wanted. We still took the menus just in case they differed from the ones online. (They were the same.) We then placed our order. While we were waiting for our orders we were browsing their Instagram and decided to add additional items to our order based on the tantalizing photos that we saw on Instagram. We ordered the quarter chicken (breast & wing), 18 grilled wings with various different sauces, the chicken and waffles (shown as Weekend only on the menu), grilled chicken sandwich, the spicy chicken sandwich, two orders of the chicken skewers, mashed potatoes, Peri Peri French fries, 2 small orders of mac and cheese, and finally the butter corn. The total wait was roughly 30 minutes. On to the food: The quarter chicken was flavorful down to the bone. The wings were cooked to perfection and sauced well, also flavorful down to the bone. The grilled chicken sandwich was delicious and tender. The Spicy Chicken sandwich was a mixed bag. The chicken was cooked perfectly on the inside, yet the breading was soggy and had a burnt or overdone flavor to it. The sauce on the Spicy chicken sandwich was delicious. I really was looking forward to this. The chicken and waffles were a joke. The chicken was really dry and came with Eggo waffles (Please see pictures). The chicken part of the chicken and waffles was basically inedible (see pics). The chicken skewers were lacking, we found them chewy and it lacked any love. The onions were charred beyond belief, nothing like the stock photos indicated. The sides were a complete joke. I don't know if it was because we ordered takeout. The fries came out flaccid and the container came out half full (see pics). The only redeeming factor on the fries were the Peri Peri seasoning, but even that couldn't bring it back to life. The mashed potatoes were like plaster with a sludge of some sauce dabbed on top; not drizzled or piped on like in their photos (see pics). The mashed potatoes were dry and needed to be revived- get the paddles- (CLEAR). The Mac and cheese was forgettable, how about using that Peri Peri seasoning on the Mac and Cheese? Last, but not least, was what was called Butter corn, which was more like rubber bullets. It was so overcooked and chewy. It could not be eaten and had to be thrown out. I would come back for the wings if I happen to be in Queens. If I'm not in the area, I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to come back though. Stick to the chicken, that happened to be the most enjoyable part of the meal. Revise your sides or just drop them off the menu altogether. If you are not going to do chicken and waffles well you might as well just drop it off the menu. It is not a weekend treat. Please be flexible when it comes to kind of meat that you can get with you chicken sandwich, I like white meat chicken but many people prefer dark instead. I came in with high expectations and was left disappointed. Nando's it is not. Please do better. read more

Saw this place trending amongst food critics in my circle and decided to give it a try for date night. Have to give credit where it's due, this place definitely fills the void for the lack of South African cuisine in our area! There are very few places in our area that have the ability to even respectably complete with the infamous Nando's and this place gives them a run for it's money. We opted for the Chicky's for Everyone. The flavors were great, my personal fave was the lemon and herb chicken. I see some of these other reviews ripping this place for their sides but I have to say, my experience was the exact opposite. As you can see from my picture, there was a very generous portion of fries and the mac and cheese tasted great! Their peri peri seasoning actually has a taste is unlike most places that use it as a garnish more than anything. My biggest takeaway from this place was the staff. Not only were they super nice, but very personable. They weren't just trying to stuff menu items down your throat. We talked about the grand opening, current challenges, as well as their future goals. Definitely a group of young entrepreneurs with their hearts in the right place; their community. I have no doubt this place will go far. read more
I REALLY like their chickys chicken sandwich.. it is so so good ! If you are in the area you need to go check this place out. The food is made fresh and the service is extremely high quality. The safe are really accommodating and helpful to guiding you to choosing the best option for you! I went in for the first time and the owner was nice enough to let me sample almost their whole sides menu while Waiting for my meal to come out. The owner also let me try all of the sauces to see which one I wanted to try. The food came out a lot quicker that I thought it would I will definitely be coming back her and recommending to others read more

We ordered the fried Oreos and Chicky's n chips and I'm disappointed to say the least. The fried oreos included ice cream except there was no lid on the ice cream container so it leaked onto everything I ordered...fail. The chickys n chips were good but definitely overpriced. They charged $2 extra for jalapeños and $2 extra for onions....please refer to my picture to see what I got for $4 extra. read more

Chicken Chicky's for Everyone with garlic and herb . Not for me. I ordered it via uber ear tonight after hearing the hype but it wasn't what I expected to be. The chicken tasted burnt as the picture shows. I didn't expect garlic and herb to be spicy . It is also bitter. Disappointed. Will not order again. read more

An amazing spot just down the block!! How often does that happen? We ordered the 'Chicky's for Everyone' medium flavor with Garlic Bread, Rice and Waffle Fries and loved every.single.bite! We also had Fried Oreos with Ice-cream and cant stop thinking about it. We'd definitely be going here way more than we'd like to admit and you guys should too! SO GOOD!!! Best peri peri chicken ever. You can really taste the quality of their chicken since they serve steroid and hormone free chicken. I got the mango habanero wings which were spicy but hard to stop eating. The lemon and herb wings are great too and good for those who cant handle spicy food. Overall, great wings and cant wait to try their other sauces. One thing i'd recommend is to make their seating area a little bit more inviting. read more

So I was craving wings and I stumbled upon this place - but we ended up getting atomic and testing out the sides from here. We ordered the large corn and dirty fries. The prices were decent! The dirty fries were so good, I loved the habanero sauce - I wish I got melted cheese on it. I also got the butter corn which was good at first, but I kind of got tired of the over sauced flavor. To me I felt like it was very watery and salty. Overall good experience, I called in my order and it was ready in 15 minutes. But I do wish to try different things next time. read more

Fire eats! Chicken is juicy fries are crispy and big portions. The price matches the menu. Good service, place is clean. I got the chicky's and chips medium sauce. It's actually spicy but that's my opinion. Mac n cheese was by far the best Mac I ever ate ( thick, creamy, cheesey) Fried Oreos ( chef kiss) they know what they doing. Coming again! read more
