The food is pretty good, especially your first time around, each time you go it kinda loses its novelty. My pictures doesn't do the food justice but this sandwich was pretty good. The service is good, seems like a mom and pop store that has family working there, real personal service. The ambience isn't too anything crazy , regular chicken shop setting and they play some music , seems like more of a take out place and less of a dine in place. Coming here once in a while is preferred.
We came here because we saw them on Instagram. We arrived on a weekday thirty minutes after they opened and it was pretty empty during the entire time we were there waiting for food. The restaurant itself looks new and had a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered: * Mac & Chicky Sandwich with Sweet BBQ sauce ($11.49) * Trio Jerk Chicken Platter ($16.00) * Chicky's N Tot's ($15.49 but added Mac and cheese for $3.00) * Waffle Fries ($5.49) * 2 Jarritos ($5.98) * Coke Zero ($2.99) came out to $66.35 Food itself was okay. The portions are very generous but the fried chicken itself is okay, the sauce is really what makes the dish. The jerk chicken had a good amount of heat and the coleslaw tastes like it's from the grocery store. Sweet bbq sauce is basically sweet baby rays sauce. This place is your average Instagram restaurant you see go viral online because of their massive portions. This place is a solid 3/5, not bad but not great either. I don't think I'd go out of my way to eat here again.
I went to this place in my neighborhood for some chicken. It's street parking only. It takes a while for the order so you may want to pre-order. My order took 30 minutes. I ordered the Peri Peri Half Chicken, sweet potato fries and Jerk Chicken over rice. All sauces on the side. I didn't use the sauce after I realized how spicy both dishes were without the sauce. I did try a little of the sauce. It was good. The jerk chicken was very spicy. I was still able to taste the flavors of the spices on the chicken. On the dry side because no sauce but not too bad. The peri per was also good. Very spicy also. The breast meat was very dry but the rest was good. Overall flavorful chicken.
This chicken place is serving up some good chicken options that we did enjoy. The ambiance is a medium sized open room with tables and chairs nothing special. They have a fridge with sodas and juices and desserts I don't get like tres leche but alright. The wings are great the first time I got them I got them grilled I didn't know there was two options that's what they gave me. I believe they also offer fried but the grilled It was great! It was charred and really good it's really a must have item. We got it with the lowest heat sauce but it was really, really good. I got the cheese fries which were good but def needed more cheese on them. We also got the Mac and cheese chicken sandwich I do wish it had more flavor it's really not as good as the original chicken sandwich. It had way too much mayo and no spice at all. The spicy chicken sandwich was great the chicken patty itself was huge my goodness when comparing to the bun. The sandwich is juicy and is worth the wait. But really spicy like really spicy wow. The original is good my daughter enjoyed it. Of course the food is made to order so there is a wait mine was about 20 min each time.
10 Stars Over here for Chicky's for Shaw !!! So we hit this spot last week sorry yelpers & Chicky's I forgot to post this review my bad .... Ok y'all know I'm a big fan of this Chicken Craze that been popping off around town; Birdies, Dave's and Now Chicky's & they could very well be my number one beating out Birdies !!! For real yo; This is definitely a must try must go to and get ya freak on; we took a ride from Brooklyn had my Floridians in from Florida who also are in on this Chicken craze they loved their chicken as well ... super moist, tasty and crispy !!! The restaurant is very clean and their service is fast & friendly. We had the following; Chicky's & Chips, welcome to flavor town and this dish comes fully loaded just look at my pictures I highly recommend this dish especially if ya real hungry... Chicky's Jumbo Chicken Tenders; delicious fried to perfection & super moist; their Chicky sauces are game changers; also highly recommend 5 pc will definitely get you right !!! Peri Peri Rice was very nice, especially topped with their Chicky sauce ... Mac & Cheese was also on the money .... FYI; we opted not to add any heat to our chicken so we kept it mild but next visit we gonna kick it up a notch or two for Shaw !! While we were dining in we had the pleasure of meeting Sammy the owner who's such a nice guy very hospital kept coming over to our table to ask if everything was ok and everything was super delicious..... Sammy sent us a complementary order of his famous and delicious fried Oreos !!!! Also a must try... I highly recommend Chicky's if you love Ya Chicken this place will not disappoint..... Can't wait to return and explore their menu.. Thank you Sammy & the entire team at Chicky's from the front of the house to the back... What an awesome food experience..... Food here was excellent. I ordered the chickys burger it was really good, tasty but i couldn't finish it. The tenders were good, huge too but couldn't finish it. The service was cool. But a lil bit confusing because the guy was telling us he had no more rice but we could substitute the rice, but would have to pay more, I didn't get that. The place was clean af too!
Can't go wrong with Fried Chicken for a weekend lunch. Ambience: Walking into Chicky's was like walking into a takeout in the hood. You order at the counter, pick up your food and sit at one of the few tables. Food: I ordered: Chicky's Fried Chicky's Chicken Over Rice - crunchy nuggets of fried chicken bathed in a spicy sauce over a bed of rice. Just the right amount of heat, crunch and texture. 4/5 Chicky's Spicy Chicken Sandwich - spicy fried chicken sandwich. Need I say more? Better than Wendy's but short of Popeyes. 4/5 Peri Peri fries - French fries with some Cajun seasoning? 2/5
The Nashville chicken over fries was quite good and if you can handle a decent amount of spice, I recommend you opt for their spicier sauces. Prices were okay, kinda pricey for what you get but everything is pricey nowadays. The coleslaw on the food was kinda mid imo but that's me comparing it to the cole slaw at two other hot chicken joints in NY. That said, no one is coming to a joint like this for the coleslaw so my criticism is irrelevant.

Preferred the chicken over rice (basmati) with the sauces on the side. Shredded chicken has good grilled flavor. They put too much sauce when you order with already. Couldn't taste the chicken anymore. Small place, i think 4 tables for 4. Ok service.
The sign isn't well lit so you can end up passing this place by and there's only street parking available. The staff was cool, quick and helpful. The ambiance is interesting with black and white as there base colors and flames to add some flare. The chicken over rice was good, I really like how the chicken was grilled it had a good flavor and texture and the chicky's sauce is good if you like white sauce you like the chicky's sauce. The fries did what a fry is supposed to do but the chicken sandwich was mostly bread with a small slice of meat not sure what that was about, not sure if I'll be back but it was worth a try.
This is very disappointing that one my favorite spots to eat in Ny is losing their touch , i cant even explain the feeling i had when i ate this and let alone made me sick to my stomach and dislike This Store. Something needs to be done their food are good but not everything you see in Pictures are Promised please save your money and time
Upon ordering I read the reviews and it was rated really high in which I had really high hopes for this place. It looked really good in the pictures but it just tasted very and soggy. I didn't taste any spice to it. Although I did let it sit for 10 minutes before eating which could be the reason it got soggy, but I really did not enjoy the chicken sandwich. Maybe the other choices would taste better.
I AM SUCKER FOR GOOD SERVICE And Thats What I Got Here At Chickys!!! Every Person That Walked In And Went To The Back Greeted Me With A Smile. Another Person Came Back Out Front To Make Sure I Was All Good But The Guy That Took My Order Made Sure Of That Already. Now Onto The Food Very Good, But Warning The Sandwich Is Very Big And A Bit Messy (But They Have A Sink In Front To Wash Your Hand) I'm Glad I Didn't Get Fries Too Because I Would Have Never Finished It. The Sauces We're Cool But I Loved The Mango Habanero Mixed With Their Chickys Hot. Going To Back To Try PeriPeri Fries In Nashville Hot. This review is based off DoorDash I have not been inside the establishment & I ordered based off the reviews & pictures. & sad to say I wasn't amazed as well. The food is mediocre. I didn't like how they packaged the fried Oreos w/ ice cream. I know it's a hot day but the ice cream should've been packaged seperately from the hot crispy fried Oreos. So ofc I received the ice cream melted & it looked like milk. :( but the Oreos were tasty. Now as far as one of their most popular dishes.. the chickys & chips. That was bland the fried breaded chicken chunks had no taste & flavor & wasn't well presented like it's depicted in picture & social media. The sauces weren't even distributed throughout & my fries were soggy. I had to add salt & hot sauce to make it edible. So yea def not worth it to me & very overpriced read more
The food was great. The sauces were definitely a hit, especially with the mango habanero. Although a little bit on the pricy side, the portion sizes are HUGE. The fries Oreos were also definitely a highlight as well, served with a scoop of ice cream. Good customer service, occasionally asked if everything was alright. My only dislike was the breading of the tenders ordered which was bland, but the sauces allows it to be overlooked. read more

I drove by this place a few times and finally stopped by. I ended up getting the Mac & chickys sandwich. The chicken was nice and moist and a huge piece which had a nice big pile of Mac' n Cheese on it. Make sure to get a fork because it falls apart. I'll be back to try other food. read more

The service is quick and polite, the space it a typical pick up and go or stay if needed. The food was quite disappointing, Mac & cheese was an absolute fail, runny and lack flavor. The chicken sandwich was good but very average. There seemed to be a lack of flavor and seasoning all around even their chicky sauce was bland. Hope they kick it up a few notches in the future. read more

Me and boy are not from the area but heard about this amazing chicken spot called Chicky's. We are obsessed with it the second we took a bite. I had the Chickys Nashville supreme sandwich and it was fuego! Also ordered the chickys dirty fries and that habanero sauce SLAPPED! The gentleman in the front provided superb service tended our every need. We are definitely coming back! read more

Chicky's!!!!! I'm a big peri peri fan and let me just say, Chicky's sauce is onnnnn point!!!! The sauce is everything!!!! We ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and crispy chicken sandwich and both were delicious. The sandwiches were on the smaller size but very reasonable considering the price. So again, why the 3 stars? As a fellow yelper mentioned, the sides are a joke. I mean it's French fries, charge more if you need to, but don't give me a mediocre portion of fries. Maybe don't have a regular or a small. The container is deceiving, you're prepared for a regular order of fries and then you open it only to realize, it's a cruel world we live in. We also ordered the corn and we weren't thrilled with it. I didn't try any other sides but based on these 2 I'm afraid to. Chickys, my recommendation is the following: Serve more fries even if you raise the price but it's freaking fries, don't mess with people's fries. I do have to say, the guy behind the counter was super friendly and welcoming. I will continue coming here for the sandwiches ONLY and I hope this fix this sides issue because this place had lots of potential! :-) read more

Went to this place, traveled 30 mins, when I saw on IG. Looked good and some reviews were promising. First, the place opens at 12noon. So expecting that when they open at 12noon, they're ready to serve. Not a chance! Some food not available, or you wait 30 mins. One guy seemed to be doing the cooking and taking the order at the register, he didnt look happy. I saw 6 people walked out, all saw this place on IG. Each one left coz the guy says 30 mins wait. He seemed to not mind that all of them left upset. I should have followed them. Big mistake on my part. A doordash driver left also. I paid $27 for 2 sandwiches, and a potato fries. So disappointed. He made me feel like am a nuisance for asking questions or for just being there. read more

Delicious food! Chickys spicy chicken sandwich was amazing! The medium sauce was the perfect spice level. The chicky and chips was addicting and delicious. Service was quick and our food came out fast. Highly recommend ! Great for ordering out or staying in. Definitely will be coming back! read more
This place is a small but packed with flavor. We were on the way to dinner at another place but I decided to check Yelp and found this place. They sell chicken in many forms with sauces made with peri peri pepper. The chicken and waffles which is only available on weekends was delicious. A little mango haberno sauce to go with the syrup knock it out of the park. We also tried the Chicky's special sandwich and it was really tasty as well. Comes with lettuce and tomato. The grilled wings, you can finish with what ever sauce you like. We have to come back and try more of the items on the menu. Also had the sweet potato fries and it was nice and crisp and came with chipotle mayo dipping sauce. read more

TEN OUT OF TEN! Five stars do not do displays justice. Anyone who is given Chickies less than five stars is a petty baby whining. The restaurant is beautiful. The service was great. The food is fresh. Everything is perfection. Everything is made fresh. The service was quick. the staff was helpful, patient, and made recommendations for my next visit. My entire family is a bunch of food is. You've tasted amazing dishes from across the globe. Little Chickies is a gym. We will definitely be back. read more

Found the spot on Yelp. Got the chicken over rice w/garlic herb, poutine fries and 6pc wings mango habanero. The food overall was ok. They said it would take 20-25mins before it was ready and they'll text me. Honestly I was pretty surprised because they didn't seem busy at all. Didn't get a text so 30mins later came back and my food was sitting there ready. Got home and decided to reheat everything. Wished they put the gravy sauce on the side instead of on my fries. This way they wouldn't of been so soggy. Chicken over rice was just alright. Was hoping for a more garlicky flavor. The heat/spice on my wings was more than I expected and I like hot food. Just wasn't a huge fan of the flavor or amount of heat. Funny, after I got home and heated up my food... I got the text saying my order was ready. Guess if you like spicy chicken this spot might be for you. My soggy fries never recovered and I didn't really like the wings or wait time to get everything. I had to come here after seeing how good the food looked in pics. I was not disappointed, the food here is amazing. They have chicken sandwich, chicken with fries, etc most of their items have chicken and you need to pick a type of sauce you want with your food. Their most popular sauce is the mango habanero which I would recommend if you like spicy. You can order the food and wait outside or inside. They normally do takeouts but you can also sit inside and eat if you have covid vaccine card. It takes about 15-20 min to make the food. We got chicken over rice and chicken sandwich. They are both really good. Full of flavors. The rice was well seasoned as well. They're also all halal. Needless to say, I'm coming back here again to try out more items from their menu. If this is your first time going, I'd recommend the chicken sandwich, it just hits the spot differently. read more

Wasn't a fan of the food here ... we got the mac & chicky and to me the Mac and cheese had a sweet taste to it and it had fake cheese on it. As with the fries it was the same thing ... fake nacho cheese . Not to mention the chicken on top were undercooked with the breading falling off.. yuck I give this place 2 stars because the regular chicken sandwich was alright . Wouldn't return here. read more
If I were local, I'd be here all the time. I know the spicy chicken sandwich is one of the people's favorites but the Chicky's N Chips is superior and a must have. It's essentially a bed of fries, topped with onions, jalapeños, crispy chicken and sauces galore. All the chicken here is soft and juicy and the exterior, crisp and flaky. It's basically perfect. My only critique was that the bottom bun of the spicy chicken sandwich was soggy and saturated with so much sauce it was falling apart and basically leaking sauce. Not a problem for me personally but could be a texture issue for some people (crunchy chicken, soft top bun, and squelchy bottom bun). The service is A+. The employee working knew it was our first time and made it as memorable and welcoming as possible. Despite the fact we ordered so much (we also ordered a whole pizza from the Fire Spot next door--aka their sister location) he was kind enough to treat us to some fried Oreos which I'll admit I had my eye on. The fried Oreos did have a bit of a tang to them which I presume was from their pancake batter. Admittedly not the best sign because it could indicate expired batter but it could also be an addition of citrus. Not sure. The cool thing about the Fire Spot being their sister location (and vice versa) is that you can order at both places and choose which location you want to sit and eat at! The Fire Spot is definitely a larger space and more "aesthetic" but Chickys is well lit so I guess it depends on what suits your vibe lol. The food portions are enormous so you will need at least two other people to help you tackle them if you order more than one item so you are getting a lot for your money. You'll definitely need a walk after. I definitely want to try their Mac and cheese chicken burger so I look forward to returning in the future. read more

You are going to love the selection! I'll make a personal stop to Jamaica just to visit this place. Get the wings, the chicky's and chips. I get at least one thing new each time I visit. So far, it's a hit and you get a bang for your buck. You know I'll be coming back next week! read more
I will start by saying that its odd the place has a sink next to the counter without offering a real bathroom to customers who dine in. In terms of cleanliness well, the place is a bit stale. There are only 2 tables that sit 4ppl each, one table on the left and another on the right side. Menu is pretty straight forward chicken over rice with chickis sauce abd your choice of hot sauce. You can have a chicken sandwich too but i like the rice platter because you get grilled chicken, lettuce and rice and the white sauce is drizzled over the chicken. The food is great, very tasty and the peri peri sauce is unique to this place. I refuse to eat because the tables were not cleaned, we waited for our food 20 mins and people ate, left and new people sat but the tables were not wiped down, not good. I took my food to go. I would come back for often but between the stale air, sticky tables, yeah i am not feeling it. I like their food a lot, but i have to think about coming back. Once again, great food. read more
I was excited to try Chicky's as I had heard good things about it. It's nice to have a halal spot nearby as well- albeit I don't exclusively halal, most of my family does. I got the spicy chicken sandwiches and was forewarned that it was "very spicy." Maybe I have a "high spice tolerance" (I know this isn't exactly a term but whatever) but the sandwich wasn't exactly that spicy. The sauce was good but the chicken itself was a little dry. I will say this though- the portion is quite generous but the price matches it accordingly as well. Maybe I'll have better luck with the wings or other items on their menu. read more

The bread on my Nashville chicken sandwich was toasted on one side and then cold on the other side- like it had just came out of the fridge. Also there was only one chicken tender inside the sandwich, making it highly costly for what you get and what you pay for. Also, It wasn't even spicy. Definitely won't come back for a $12 chicken sandwich that left me still hungry after I finished it. read more

I'm hoping it was an isolated incidentbut my first experiencehere wasn't great. I ordered a chicken sandwich, wings, fries and corn around 7pm on a Thursday. We didn't get our food till after 8pm. Took around an hour for an order that should normally take 15 to 20 min. I usually don't mind waiting, I'd rather be at the restaurant waiting for the food to come out fresh than the food sitting there waiting for me to arrive. But an hour is a little unacceptable. The food was very tasty tho. Corn was buttery and delicious, wings were flavorful and the chicken sandwich was great. Huge piece of chicken, I feel like the picture doesn't do it justice. Its a small establishment, maybe 6 tables at most but half aren't occupied on the ciunt of social distancing. They do Uber and doordash that I saw while I waited. The girl at the counter was nice and very apologetic. I'm hoping they were just abnormally busy and these wait times aren't normal, but there were a few people there waiting for a very long time. Honestly I would try it again and definitely update the review if I have a better experience. Like I said the food was very good, exactly what you'd hope for but wait times and service are very important as well. read more

To me it was ok, a lot of hype. Huge portions tho but like other reviews said about da breading falling apart it happened to me and it's disappointing so was "poutine fries" probably won't go back but good luck read more
