Took 2 pairs of dress pants in to have the waist size smaller. The lady who greeted me was super nice and took time to measure my pants and make sure the pants were clipped correctly. In no way did I feel rushed. After determining the waist size, she noticed that the legs and butt portion needed adjusting also because there was extra material. She suggested I get that altered as well. The total cost was more than just adjusting the waist size but completely reasonable. It took her 2 days but after receiving my pants I couldn't be happier. She did an excellent job and I am quite impressed. Prices are very reasonable and I will definitely be back and recommend other people to go here. 2 thumbs up! read more

I used to frequent this place and bring them tons of stuff for alterations and dry cleaning, for years. But that has changed after my experience today. Even though the customer service was never good because they always made me wait while they served other customers who arrived later, i was usually okay with that because i never expected good customer service from a small Chinese establishment like this. But my experience today changed everything. Being 7 months pregnant, i went there with 2 year old daughter today. There was no other customers when i got there. But when i was trying on my dress for alterations, people started coming. So they started helping everyone else and left me stand there waiting. Because i had a few items for alterations, the whole process took an hour. I kept complaining that my daughter and i were both tired and we needed to get home, but the owner kept asking me to wait, not to mention i got a ton of mosquito bites waiting there. When it was time to pay, she didn't want to give me a quote because she "didn't know yet." I told her i brought the exact same dress in different color as sample which she previously altered and charged $24, but she kept thinking what to charge me for this dress while i told her to hurry up because i kept getting mosquito bites and my daughter was hungry. Then i lost it and told her to give me back my dress which i really needed altered for a wedding I'm attending in 2 days. But it didn't matter. My experience today was so humiliating that i couldn't care less about the dress. read more

Great service. I took a couple of suits there to b rrepaired. One in particular was ripped next to the pocket because it got caught on a door jamb. This place charges so much more than other cleaners I know., over $1 more. They don't do anything special and the facility doesn't seem safe. When you enter through the back door, you pass through all the people doing their job and using the equipment that they use. You're better off going to Vinh's Taylor on New Ave. and Valley. Their prices are really good and painted on the window, or the Cleaners on Fairoaks where Oak Tree Inn Restaurant is at. The facility is very clean and price is much better with discounts for government employees as well. read more

This was my first time trying out this location, and I will not be returning. I dropped off a leather jacket that my cat had urinated on hoping to get the scent out. I let them know the situation, and they said it would be a bit more expensive due to the urine, around $70 and that they would need to outsource it. It's extra work and understandable, so I said that's fine, and they said it would take around 2 weeks. I called around 2 1/2 weeks later to check the status. The lady tells me it was going to be over $100 because there was urine on it, and because of that, they decided not to do anything about it. They held onto the jacket for over 2 weeks without even notifying me and letting me know they couldn't do anything. If they had told me right away, I could've tried to soak it and get the smell out so I could at least try to return it. Now the jackets been stewing in the urine for over 2 weeks, and un-returnable. I brought an old, VERY dirty(white) sheepskin seat cover, not expecting a miracle, but hoping it could be "clean enough" to put in my car.....Mei said she could do it, but it would take a week or more and would not look as good as new........When I picked it up, I was shocked by the brightness of it !!.....It DID look like brand new !!!.....She and her staff did an amazing job on this seat cover !!....Mei~Mei is #1 !!!!....YES, I think so read more

My daughter needed her Homecoming Dress altered but I didn't know where to go.. We really needed a good place that was not going to ruin the dress. After checking the reviews on Yelp, I decided to come here and I am so glad. Their work is very neat and professional. The lady helping us was very kind. She let my daughter try the dress on in the dressing room so she could measure. The man who was going to do the alterations seemed very pleasant as well. They both seemed to be always smiling. The estimated time was two days. She said to call before we came, but she called early that afternoon to tell us the dress was done. My teenage daughter is very happy with their work and well. I definately will come here for any alteration or cleaning needs. read more

Bad customer service. Sometimes my pants weren't dry cleaned they just ironed and couple times I get the wrong pants.

I heard good things about this place so I went first of all I waited a really long time for them to find something for someone that they had lost so that made me a little worried but they found it after waiting patiently I smiled had the makings and explained I wanted a jacket shortened first they told me to wait five minutes for the owner to get there to quote me a price then another one was on the phone and said you have to wait 10 more minutes for him to get here I was asking to be waiting over 20 minutes almost 30 in fact I said I refuse to wait so I left I will not be returning here read more

I brought my wedding gown because it was a bit to big and and had to come back 3x and each time I came back there was something else wrong with the dress...the dress had gotten dirty, then the lace decoration was ruin...the owner was very rude and rather than taking responsibility kept blaming me for the dress being mess up....very unprofessional. read more

They saved my wedding dress!!! The bustle holding my train broke and I had to drag my poor dress around. At the end of the night, the hems and train of my dress was so filthy! I don't know what I was thinking but I tried to clean it in the shower which made it worst. I also waited three days before I had time to even take it to the cleaners. Whoops. The first cleaner I took it to shook their head and were extremely hesitant to clean my dress because I guess white satin and lace is really hard to clean. I've been living in the San Gabriel Valley area pretty much all my life and I am quite sure I have tried out most of the dry cleaner locations around the area and by far, Chief Cleaners is the best dry cleaning location in my opinion. Besides the quality cleaning and pressed shirts and slacks I get serviced here. They also have a great team of tailors whom I get all my slacks and shirts fitted from as well. Again as I mentioned earlier I tried out many location's around the area and as far as Altercations and Hemming, they get you sized and fitted down to the "T". As far as the staff and owner, customer service from a dry cleaners cant get no better. Very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable about clothing fit/wear and material of clothing. Last but not least, the prices are incredibly low and reasonable for the quality work. If you want to make sure that your nice linen and clothing is cleaned professionally with top quality, you must bring your clothes here!!! May will not be responsible for mistakes that she makes or denies her mistakes. She just grabs your money and runs even you want to pay for her mistakes. I lost my jacket. read more

I have been a patron of this establishment for some years now, and I have never had an occasion to be unhappy with any aspect of my experience there.  I have interacted with a few people there, but mostly one lady in particular who is in charge, and unfortunately I do not know her name.  My suits are always pressed immaculately and if I need a rush job, that is never a problem.  Pricing is very fair, and again, the people are hospitable as I could hope for, no negativity at all.  The lady in charge always shows a genuine interest in my well being and the staff is polite and helpful.  I have never witnessed inappropriate behavior.  Professionalism and a strong work ethic permeates the atmosphere and is tempered by grace and familiarity with a job a well done as being the standard.  Earlier this week I brought a suit in to be cleaned and mended and Yelp came up.  So here I am; thank you (Chief Cleaners) for your excellent service. read more
