Squeaky cheese curds, strawberry lemonade, & jalapeño margarita

We had one of the worst visits the other night for dinner. There was a 45-1hr wait. That's fine we thought. Time goes by quickly with all there is to look at and visiting with eachother. Ordered at the front at you do, and I'm not sure if the staff was overwhelmed or busy or what but when we asked an allergy question and for something about the dish we got a very big sigh and treated like it was very inconvenient to even bother with such questions. I've ordered here many time before and never had someone react so sour. We finally settled on our meals and got a booth. Lots of empty booths and more seating available so was surprised how long the wait would be. We sat near where we could see the bar making drinks and the staff responses to multiple customers was embarrassing and unprofessional to see. I hope it was just an off night cause I felt like their attitudes towards customers for asking "where's the soda machine?" "Can I have a menu" etc was rude. They acted like it was a personal attack & didn't even look up to reply and just pointed "in the corner". I was cringing when I saw the interactions. Finally our food came out at about 50-55 min mark. The waitress handed us a salad and a SIDE of my dish I ordered expecting the whole dinner entree with toast and meat. Instead I got a sad side bowl of plain mac and cheese that had no toppings or Bread. We paid the $23 and Change entree price and had requested bacon. No one came back after we said something. It was a huge disappointment and a waste of money. Left hungry and let down by the whole evening. Now normally I hate to wire such a negative review, but this is simply how the evening went. We love coming here and we're very disappointed leaving. I don't know when we will be back out of our way to dine again not knowing if the staff will be the same or not.

BBQ Brisket Sandwich (Shaved) with Shoe String Fries

I have been craving brisket lately, so while we were in Coburg for the night, I was happy to find this place located nearby. Hubby and I both went for the chopped brisket sandwich. I had a Lager and he had an IPA. The sandwich was only OK. The brisket wasn't very smoky and it was overly sweet. The bun held up well and the shoestring fries were very good. Other menu items looked good, but this is about the food I actually tried. We received a friendly greeting & service, but since we had our dog, we wanted an outside table. Unfortunately there were none, so Chico was relegated to the car. We quickly placed our order and paid at the counter, then took a number to a table. It took about 20 minutes before our food arrived. It was pretty busy for a Tue night. Maybe because they had a Taco Tuesday special. Inside seating is spread out and the tables were all big enough for 6 people. It's a very open space, so it was pretty loud inside. Nothing to really speak of about the ambience. Outside there is a fire pit and it was nice on the warm evening. Not sure that we will be back in Coburg anytime soon, so this was likely a one-time meal. Not good enough to make us pull off of I-5 when driving by.

This place is hitting all the right notes for us. Parking is easy for a large truck, there is plenty of shaded outside seating on the patio or under the trees. The interior is very rustic with hardwood floors, large windows and a western flair with cattlemen paraphernalia, wagon wheels and a miniature chuck wagon. The building looks to be a large Victorian that was converted ino a restaurant. The booths are huge! You could very comfortably seat ten people in one booth. We walk in and are greeted. The staff here are relaxed, casual and very pleasant. As you walk in you take a menu and choose where you want to sit. Have a table, peruse the menu and go order at the counter. You help yourself to soft drinks. There are mixed drinks available as well as beer. I ordered the Wapiti burger. It is an elk burger. It comes on a regular large burger bun with onions, pickles, cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomato. This burger is loaded. The flavor of the elk meat is perfect. It is exactly how elk is supposed to taste. It is not gamey and is milder in flavor than beef. This one came out with a perfect bit of char to really kick in the flavor. I keep catching myself saying 'wow' after every bite. The fries were hot and delicious. They have that coating that comes out not greasy and very crispy. These were also cooked fresh. Overall we feel that we definitely received a substantial amount of food for the cost. We got our money's worth. The overall atmosphere here is so pleasant and relaxing that we weren't in any hurry to leave.

Service was great and food came out quickly on a busy Friday night. My sandwich was okay but the tots were good and mozzarella sticks were delicious! Had the iconic cheese pull. Will be back to try other things on the menu!

Burnt ends with bourbon and Carolina sauces, salad and Mac n cheese. All delicious.

First time here. Open, clean, and casual order-at-the-counter, seat yourself environment. The food is delicious- burnt ends with choice of sauces, and 2 huge sides. Taking home leftovers. The staff are friendly, organized, and welcoming towards customers, and each other! The whole comfortable and yummy experience makes this a 5 Star experience for a BBQ place for me. So many things to come back to try.

Best burger I've ever had by far. My mom got the brisket sandwich and was extremely happy with it there was so much meat it was falling out the sides. The outdoor seating area is just an amazing spot to just chill and enjoy your food we plan on going back with her dog later.

Pulled pork, brisket chunks, Mac and cheese and slaw

For $50 I would expect something edible. While the pork was good, the brisket was burnt, the Mac and cheese seemed to be missing the cheese, the slaw and beans were only so-so. Definitely not eating here again. The meal was not worth the hype or price tag

Delicious, fish and chips and chowder! I'd never had parmesan sprinkled on top of chowder before here, and now I crave it! So yummy!

Not too noisy for a tavern, full selection of beer and wine. Burger came out just the way I like it, medium rare and the fries were nice and crisp. I will be stopping back here on my way back to CA.

Last time we came for brunch, we noticed the eggs Benedict no longer has the amazing Parmesan-crusted potatoes. The hollandaise is still decent and the focaccia bread is great, but losing that crispy crust was a big bummer. Today's visit for our usual wings and nachos was even more frustrating. First, they no longer offer ground beef for the nachos. We were told we could substitute steak, but that literally doubles the price of the dish. We opted for chicken instead, which was a steep $7 extra for maybe two ounces of meat. When the nachos arrived, they looked like low-effort, homemade oven nachos with just melted cheddar on top. The whole thing was fused together into one giant sheet of chips; we had to break it apart and manually pile the toppings back onto the chips ourselves. It was really weird. The biggest letdown, though, was the wings. It used to be a solid order of six traditional flats and drums. Today, we paid $14 for just four pieces, and they weren't even wings--they were frenched chicken thighs. Subbing a completely different, lower-quality cut of meat without telling the customer is false advertising, and they turned out dry. Plus, the sauce has changed from a traditional Frank's-style buffalo to a harsh cayenne sauce. Between the wings and the nachos, today's total came out to $34--and $40 with a tip. Paying premium prices for dry thigh meat, overpriced add-ons, and a block of fused-together nachos makes it really hard to justify coming back. I'm not sure if North Fork got bought out or what, but I really don't see a point in returning.
