Stopped into Mad Beach Cantina for the Burger Week event and had their "Birria Burger" and it was great!! Our server, Kate was very nice & friendly!! It was a rainy day, so it was quiet which was cool and made for a pleasant atmosphere. They have a waterfront view of the channel from the inside & also have covered outside seating by the bar section. We would like to stop in again another time to try more items on their menu.

We had an excellent dinner and service here last night. We sat on the patio just before sunset and although an umbrella to block some sun would have been nice, it was eventually out of view. I had the skirt steak and although I've had better Chimichurri, this was not bad. It just didn't look fresh at all. I asked for a med rare steak which arrived perfectly cooked and tender. The margaritas were really good too. They had some upbeat music playing throughout the meal that we couldn't help but dance along to.

Birria tacos and Fajitas are AMAZING. Also, their beans are the BEST I have ever had. Flavorful smokey velvet delight.

The food? Amazing! I had the carne asada tacos with corn tortillas and they were amazing. The music? Top tier! The service... questionable. We waited for over 15 minutes before we had a waiter come over to even ask us for drinks. When he did come over to finally do his job, he didn't talk and it was a very awkward experience. Not once did he come to check on us either. I'd come back for the food but the service needs to be better.

Mad Beach Cantina is a mixture of locals and tourists, tends to cater more to the tourists and that fixes the price point. We enjoyed our salsa and chips at the bar along with a couple of nice sized build your own Margaritas. Margaritas are always nice sized and the bartenders don't skimp on the alcohol but make it taste delicious. Definitely make your own Margarita, it's so worth it! We did enjoy a light meal of street tacos: BIRRIA TACOS WITH CONSOMÉ- house specialty and very savory and delicious. Also enjoyed the ENSALADA DE LA CASA, light and not heavy after a beach day or hard day at work. Staff is busy but attentive. You'll enjoy a water view of the intercoastal and we recommend reservations unless you don't mind sitting at the bar or waiting.

I have been a fan of the Mad Beach Cantina since they have opened a few years back and I have been actively coining the phrase; Madeira Beaches Infamous - "The Madeira Riviera!" The open-aire Margarita Bar is my favorite place to sit overlooking the Madeira Bay Marina and all the beautiful yachts looking to my left while looking to my right reveals views of the open Gulf waters between the Condo's with a refreshing balmy breeze on most days. The ambience both speaking volumes in waterfront Florida had a festive "Fiesta" feel with the colors and artwork. Our mixologist Adrian was friendly and welcoming and made some fantastic Bloody Marys for us after seating. He was talkative and friendly giving us that "welcome" feel! I always get a custom "Build Your Own Margarita" as that is the house specialty and just love the "Spicy, Skinny w/Salt" and my tequila choice at the time. Something to be said about the balmy/breezy views sipping a Margarita! We have always enjoyed their food usually putting just a slight twist on typical Mexican fare that's somewhere in between authentic and Tex-Mex... Their lates Birria offerings brought us in this day for Birria Quesadillas with Refried Beans, Mexican Rice & Consommé for dipping. After a Queso & Chorizo w/Chips appetizer was a very delicious meal and will be back for other Birria offerings! The second floor elevated perch coupled with great food and cold drinks makes for a stop worthy of both locals and tourists! Nestled between both Madeira Bay Resorts 1&2 - the Mad Beach Cantina is in my opinion "THE MADEIRA RIVIERA" in Madeira Beach. If Adrian is on-duty, hopefully your visit will be as enjoyable as ours was! All in all was a great meal, reasonably priced and we felt completely satisfied - We'll be back!

I've been to the cantina many of times, people are always friendly. As busy as it gets, the service is always on point. The view of the bay on one side and the ocean on the other is a perk. Never had to make a reservation as there is a lot of seating available. Food always good as well. We have tried multiple dishes, and everything has been very good.

Shrimp tacos and gringo tacos (beef) on taco Tuesday- bogo margaritas both excellent

Went back for some taco Tuesday magic and had the great fortune of having Ryan behind the bar. Outstanding tacos (shrimp and grongo beef) with some bogo margaritas. Can't emphasize enough how Ryan made our night. A true Pro behind the bar. Mahdi also welcomed us like we were regulars. We will definitely go back during our short stay here. Love this place. Sit at the bar if you can and order the Patron kicker with your bogo margaritas- won't regret it. Thank you!

We had a great dinner at Mad Beach Cantina! You do have to climb some steps to get up there, although I do believe there was an elevator available. Our server was friendly and prompt, we had chips and salsa and shared the fajitas. Also the Bogo margaritas they advertise are smaller but honestly a great deal for $10. A short 2 block walk from the St Johns Pass boardwalk area. We will be back!

I joined a group for a birthday celebration. My friends ordered house margaritas that they all enjoyed. I know a taco salad, chorizo tacos and a beef brisket were ordered. Everyone loved their meals and they were each hearty in size. I wasn't real hungry and ordered a side salad with Jalepeno ranch and lime vinaigrette on the side. The lime vinaigrette was awesome! The salad was really big and fresh for $4.25. I would go back just for that.

The obligatory chips and salsa were very good and we ordered the queso which was also very good. Then the main course food arrived. The only saving grace was that the rice and black beans were very tasty and not spicy. I ordered the number 3 combination. The beef hard taco was good, however the enchiladas were so spicy that I couldn't eat them. Some type of terrible green sauce made them so hot I almost gagged. Tex mex should be spiced after serving, in my opinion, not during cooking. Traditional Mexican food is not super hot. This was so spicy it burned my throat and I sent them back after powering through.

The slices of onion were substancial, and the fry actually stayed on the outside so you could experience the concoction as intended. I had multiple options as a vegetarian, but selected their 'Mac Daddy' Mac and cheese. It was full of clearly real cheese, not a stack of velveeta. I appreciated the hefty cheese pull that came with each bite. My family ordered the coconut crusted mahi mahi and it was a topic of the trip hereafter. Sweet, fresh, and fully covered in the salsa as well - the dense fish was so deliciously signed sealed and delivered. The side coconut rice was not quite a suitable partner as it was quite dry - but the fries were recomendable. The service was reminiscent of European service - but we assumed the server had her hands full with other tables. Having dirty dishes from appetizers left on the table the entire meal was a surprise, but doesn't detract from the tasty food itself.

I wanted to eat outdoors or on the beach or both while the weather is fantastic and Caddy's delivered. We arrived right at 11am opening on a weekday so it was not yet busy and we could relax and chat without a scrambled, chaotic touristy scene. It's good to be a local sometimes! I've fished for grouper and it's not the easiest fish to catch. You need a boat, gas, time, expertise, experience and patience! It's a wonderful, perfect, fresh, local fish for eating though! Much respect to the local fisher-people! So, I ordered the grouper dinner, blackened. It had some nice mild seasoning on it but it's far from New Orleans style blackened. I think that style would likely be too spicy for some people. This preparation was safe. The rice was fine and the veggies were not overcooked. Parking at 11am was easy with valet or lot across the street options. Parking does fill up and reportedly, can be a significant challenge during peak hours. Life is good with lunch on a beach with a nice breeze!

4.5 Stars Rounded Up To 5…read more Caddy's on Madeira Beach has finally reopened. Yay! Yelp Elite All-Star Dave W suggested this restaurant for our regular lunch get together because he wanted something on the beach while the weather is nice. Good call Dave W! The weather was perfect for the outdoor balcony. They have a parking lot across the street ($5.50 per hour pay through the kiosk or an app). They also have valet parking @$5 an hour. Since we both arrived just before 11am opening time we had no trouble snagging one of the 20 or so parking spots at the Caddy's lot across the street, but when we came out the lot was full. The renovated location is up on stilts! I guess the back to-back hurricanes taught them a lesson. They also have a little beach type bar on the ground floor that they open whenever they have enough customers. They offer free beach chairs with shade by umbrella or tent, which is a pretty good deal, those can be expensive to rent. I started off with a signature specialty drink, the 'Loosey Goosey'. I chose the $15.99 Double shot drink, which has just the right kick for the beach. Drinks can be ordered with single, double, or triple shot, which is a brilliant idea. It arrived in a souvenir 'Mood' cup that turns pink with the cold contents. I mentioned that as a boy I would prefer blue, but our waitress, Lydianna, was not moved. Later I approached the bartender and asked for a blue cup, which she happily provided, so now I have one of each. I ordered the Surf Salmon ($13) And Steak Turf ($29.99). I told Lydianna that I like my steak so rare a good vet could save it, but ordered medium rare because you have to order meat that way in restaurants otherwise you get rare steak tartare. The steak came out perfect! I passed on the veggies because they included cooked carrots and doubled up on fries. This earned me a $1.77 substitution surcharge which I wouldn't have minded so much if Lydianna had mentioned it, But just like the pink cup, that didn't move her either. Other than those two little lapses she was a great waitress so it only cost Caddy's 1/2 star, and she still earned a good tip. Caddy's is on the beach, in a resort town, so I expected high prices. $80 for food & drink (Which includes large tip), & $11 for parking is about what I figured I'd pay. Good conversation with good friend Dave W: $Priceless!
