They have the best tacos I've ever had in my entire life. I am Mexican myself and always strive to find a piece of home that shines through. My wife and I have been taking care of my Father in Law and are down here from NY. Finding a place like this feels like home. They are truly amazing people and give the best service and hospitality imaginable. Their salsas are the bomb and they give the best amount of toppings. Fantastic! This is located at the old J&K seafood shack. It's family owned and everything is made in house, including the desserts! The tacos, salsa and beans were perfect and the price is right for their menu. Their Horchata was top notch and they even refill it for free. He raved to me once a couple of years ago about Birria tacos, and so I decided to show him how birria is done here in Florida. We went nuts with the menu and ordered $50 worth of food. Had a great meal with plenty leftover for a snack later. Started with 4 Quesabirria ($15.60) then 4 Birria tacos ($18.72). And topped off with 6 chicken flautas ($9.35). La Casa de las Nenas is a brand new family-owned Mexican place where a seafood shack used to be. It's brightly decorated and seems larger than it used to be, with inside and outside seating. And, by doing all their cooking in the small food truck out front, the main restaurant is fresh and relaxing. Their menu is vast, with many home-made recipes. We got the generous fresh-tasting chicken quesadillas, with freshly made thin corn chips and hot green not-chunky sauce. The quesadilla was over-stuffed, with lots of onions, and large enough for two of us to share! And we had their tasty silky flan. At another table, we saw birria tacos with a rich dipping sauce that really looked like they could match the birria tacos many places have started serving. We didnt see any crispy store-bought type of Tex-Mex taco shells, and maybe that's another sign of their authenticity here. We liked the authentic flavors and fresh ingredients. This is a good place for a homemade Mexican meal when you're in this area just west of Seminole Lake. They are only a couple of months old, so we expect them to settle in and get even better. Kick ass hole in the wall taco shop, didn't expect this in Seminole! I had el pastor, chorizo, and carne asada and all of them were amazing. I thin the chorizo squeezed by as the winner though. It's a bit confusing going up - do you order st the truck, a window, go inside? Go inside. The people working are nice and can seat you and let you decide what you want. This yummy little south of the border eatery quickly opened up in a space formally occupied JK Trapman seafood. They did a beautiful job of updating the interior in a Mexican theme. I showed up a little bit before the lunch rush and was promptly greeted and shown to my table. Soon a complimentary serving of chips and salsa. After taking a look at the extensive menu, I chose the chicken enchiladas which they're willing to spice up for me. Then to quench that heat, icy cold fresh Horchata. Wanted a fast lunch after going to the Florida botanical gardens and found this place thanks to the great reviews on Yelp. It is basically a food truck (where the cooking happens) with a small structure next to it for eating in. However there is table service and the place was air conditioned and clean. We got chips and green salsa to start and the chips were freshly made and delicious - salsa was tasty too. I got a chorizo quesadilla which was large and tasted good but was very greasy- I should have know that would happen with chorizo and cheese. I ate half and then ate it again for dinner the next day. It's far from a 5, but the staff/owners were great and I'd like this place to survive. The drinks (pineapple cream juice and a hibiscus tea) were the highlights of the trip and I'd recommend those. The queso was cold within 3-5 minutes and it hardened up, it also lacked flavor, throw some spices into it. The pork, chicken, and chorizo all looked and felt cheap. The seasoning on the meat was good but they need to change meat suppliers. The salsa that they offered tasted very good, but it was watery and I'd like to see it thickened up. We went for lunch. I had the enchiladas with red sauce, rice and beans. It was excellent and real Mexican. The food was hot and service was great. My husband had the birria which is a mexican stew with goat. He loved it! They give you chips and salsa but not the typical salsa you see in americanized Mexican places and it was very good.
