I'm not sure what happened on my last visit as the curries were on the colder side. When you arrive parking can be a bit difficult, there is a small parking lot out front, if that's full you'll need to find street park. The restaurant itself feels warm, casual, and bustling. Queen you walk in you have the option to sit on the backyard patio or in the dining room. We opted to sit in the dining room as it just felt more intimate and the vibe we were wanting for dinner. For our appetizer, we started with the Samosas (Two crispy pastries filled with your choice of freshly mixed vegetables or delicately spiced lean ground beef) which were excellent. Next we ordered the garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, and butter chicken. The naan and samosas showed up piping hot but the chicken tikka masala & butter chicken were cold. I probably should have said something as I was disappointed but was too hungry to care at that moment. If I'm in the Seattle area I may stop by Taste of India again.

It was pretty quick service and price are sooo much more reasonable than other food trucks nearby. The line was long but it moved pretty quickly. The portion might look small but it was hefty. I thought the lamb and chicken were really tasty, and each had a distinct combination of flavors. They pack a good amount of meat and sauce in there, so even though each individual roll is not huge, it feels really hearty. I agree with their guidance that you should get two rolls if you're hungry. The one thing that I think is missing a bit from the rolls is a crunchy element. They have some diced red onion in there but not that much. I think I'd like the rolls even better if they had more of a crunchy vegetable in there for textural variation, but it's still quite good. Will definitely be back to try some of their snacks.

Well better late than never I guess as we finally made it here and simply loved the food! I got my favorite when it comes to Indian cuisine which was the Chicken Vindaloo. It was wonderful! Steve liked his dish as well (though I can't quite remember what it is)! We got some Garlic Naan to go along with our meal. It was huge! But we chowed it down and loved every moment of it! From the bar which I think is called the Yeti Bar we got some Saffron infused cocktails. The one I picked was the Madras. It wad very good and this type of vodka added a great, unique dimension to the cocktail. We loved it! We to finish off this great meal we got some dessert with some deep fried goodness along with some cream. Yes, we had a fantastic meal here and really went all out by trying everything. Steve and I can't wait to come back and doing it all over again.

I was planning to take it with me while on my home (maybe an hour away given public transport) - however was hungry by the time order was ready. So asked politely if I can use one of the table to eat. The server/cashier said no right away. Which is fair - well within her rights but this place also appear to be a self service spot. I am not expecting to dine in here or use any utensils or cutlery. Just eat a burger. Anyways the burger itself was at best average. It wasn't bad - pretty edible but was smaller compared to other joints. There is a reason why Burger and Kebab hut despite having questionable hygienic standard is tough to beat for Indian Style Burgers. Talking about the ambience - the place is pretty nice. The kind where the food is comforting, the people are kind, and everything feels just a little more peaceful. You can tell each dish is made with care. The team here is thoughtful and welcoming, and they make sure you have everything you need without ever making you feel rushed. That kind of service stays with you. And being so close to the Seattle waterfront makes it even nicer. It's a lovely place to enjoy a meal and slow down for a moment. If you're looking for Indian food in Seattle--especially around Westlake--this is a place where you'll feel right at home. I'll be back, and I think you might want to be, too.

I am excited to try the rest of the menu! The somas were crunchy on the outside, and full of potatoes, peas, and spices on the inside. The dipping sauces were quite complementary, especially the brown one (I am sure it has an actual name, not just "the brown one"...). The sweetness was nice with the heat of the samosa. The butter chicken was absolutely decadent and flavorful. I got a medium spice (3 stars), and not gonna lie, that might be my upper limit, and I can generally handle my spices. It was a flavorful spicy, not a burn-your-mouth-and-can't-taste kind of spicy, and with the rice and naan, it was not too strong. I am looking forward to going back and trying other dishes. I saw high chairs in the restaurant. The steps to the restaurant are steep, but I think there is an elevator tucked away somewhere in the building.
