This has become my favorite 'spicy steak' dish since they closed down CR Thomas in the area. I had an 8oz sirloin with fries and corn on cob. Their corn is great. My family and I always come to chili's when we come down to the Barboursville mall. Today the service was horrible. Our server looked discombobulated and very out of her element even though they were not slammed. My daughter and I had to wait for an excessive amount of time for drinks and food came out late as well. Floors are filthy, tables piled up with dirty dishes, table felt sticky, flies flying around. If I could give negative stars I would. Me and my girlfriend started going here once a week every week when we moved to the Huntington area 1/2 years ago. It use to be great and the food was hot and fresh and made right every time. We stopped going but once a month then moved it down lower to only when we go to the mall due to the many issues with the location. This last visit the other day is why. Not only did they mess up my order (as they do every single time) but they messed up her order. So not a single order was right in our whole dinner. All we were offered in compensation was a free fry. I was willing to just go with it because we expect our order to be wrong when we eat here anyway. However then came the bill. Not only did they charge me for my quesadilla but they added every topping them could to a bacon chicken one and a side to make it more expensive. ( all I want on it is cheese and bacon. So I actually remove things and it should be cheeper for them to make) They also had it charged on there twice for 11 dollars and some change. And they charged for the side twice that was suppose to be free. I was mad. I asked the waitress to speak to the manager as I knew this was not her fault, the manager refused to come out from behind the wall right in front of us and I could HEAR THEM. He let a young adult take the fall when he had went on there and changed her order bill. He shouldn't even have the power to do this. Me and my girlfriend both heard him refuse to come to the table and admit this. So the girl comes back and asks what she can help with and I tell her as I know this is the only help I will get. That the quesadilla was on there twice and everything under the sun was added to it. The side was suppose to be free they said when it was wrong and that I felt my girlfriends sandwich should be free as it was also made wrong. That we except that our food will come out made wrong every time we come here but this was ridiculous. She herself fixed every issue no thanks to the manager as far as I could see. My 45$ totally wrong order became 21. Still not worth it but so much better. read more

Chili's is our go to restaurant and this is our local Chili's. We are there at least once a week and the food is great. Most of the wait staff does a wonderful job. If you have a problem with something, they fix it promptly. The reason they are missing a star is we have had some waitstaff that must have not liked their job. Overall we give chili's a B+. The 2 for $25 is a great deal! We ordered: 6oz Sirloin with loaded mashed potatoes and corn on the cob, Cesar salad, and we finish off with a molten lava cake. read more

I love the food but the service can be hit or miss. If you dine in, the service is usually excellent. I'm a huge fan of their salsa and chips, queso, the southwest egg rolls, and shrimp fajitas. Portions are large and you can't go wrong with the 3 for $10 menu. The skillet chocolate chip cookie is to die for. Food is always fabulous, and now you can do call ahead seating which makes it so much easier to get in. Service is normally really great, they have good couple specials along with drink specials! One of my absolute favorite places to eat!! Only thing I've noticed is the floors are slippery when you get close to the restroom, I'm assuming from the grease from the kitchen which is common I'm sure. I met up with some old Milton High School buddies for a Sunday lunch. About 3:00pm I used the reserve ahead app and liked that very much. Food excellent as always and server lady was great. The evening started off great with some Crispy Cheddar Bites (cheese curds), but then went south when I decided to order the Smokehouse Combo. I don't think I would have liked the dinner without adding on a half-rack of ribs. For the price, you would think the Smokehouse Combo is a deal, but it's not. It's really just a bunch of carbs. You get fries, chile-garlic toast, pickles, and roasted street corn standard. The pickles were nice, but you only get two slices. The chile-garlic was just average garlic toast topped with what seems like chili powder: A terrible idea. Fries were the same you get with the burgers. The roasted street corn was the best side: I loved the corn! In addition to the ribs, I had the smoked brisket. It was the driest, toughest brisket I have ever eaten despite being drenched in (delicious) house bbq sauce. Oh, and it was sitting atop another piece of toast. The half-rack of ribs were tender and delicious. I definitely reccomend the honey-chipotle bbq sauce. Even though the ribs were awesome, it was enough to elevate this overpriced meal. Tried to patronize this restaurant, but after being approached by our waitress with her nose on full display above her mask, and after asking her to cover her nose according to their own guidelines, she was rude to us and said "I'm not even going to go there". Food: Decent food, a bit inconsistent, but you can strengthen your odds if you know what to avoid on the menu, and pick items that are hard to mess up. Burgers are generally good. Pasta dishes are pretty safe. However, if you want fajitas, please cross under I-64 and go to Tortilla Factory. You will get bigger portions of MUCH higher quality. Service: Usually friendly and attentive, but can also be inconsistent. Can be a long wait at times. Price: Probably overpriced for the quality, but not outrageous. Atmosphere: Pretty comfortable, once you're seated. Tiled tables are cool. I think I prefer Chili's over Applebees. I feel the need to compare them. However, I would pretty much ALWAYS rather go down to Tortilla Factory. read more

Ate with a group of five, each of us hated our entrees. Meat was undercooked or burnt, and everything had an odd taste to it. The waitress was really nice and the appetizers were really good but everything else was terrible. read more

Normally I try to find the good in things and at least give a positive spin on something, but I can't do that with this Chili's location. My husband and I got a giftcard to Chili's, so we went here. When we showed up, it was suppertime, so we expected things to be busy. We asked for a place for two, then sat and waited to be seated. Several other couples that showed up after us were seated before us. Still, we waited, and finally we were seated. When we were, things didn't get much better. The table was still sticky, even though it had been sitting open for about five-seven minutes. The waiter, while kind enough, didn't write down our orders and thus forgot that I requested no tomato on my burger. Not a huge issue, either, but not impressive. Someone from the kitchen actually brought our food out, and she provided the best service of any of the employees. During the course of our meal, our waiter sat with someone at another table and talked the entire time. If we had wanted anything else, it would have been impossible to request it, as all he was doing was chatting. It was pathetic. The food was okay, but nothing outstanding. We filled out a negative service survey on their website, and heard nothing back, not even an apology for our poor experience. So I plan on never returning to a Chili's. I received an email for Free Chips & Queso, but when I tried to order the White Queso the waitress said the offer only applies to their Brown Queso. In my email, it shows a picture of Chips with White Queso (see attachment). So, is this false advertising? I doubt it. Only a good drink menu makes this place tolerable. I am not sure how you can burn a hamburger or under cook chicken on a salad, but this location did multiple times. I will only come to this location for chips/salsa and a drink to watch a game, and nothing more. There are better locations in Charleston which has a decent kitchen to cook. There is a reason this place has been here for years and still has two stars. I keep giving it chance after chance but it always ends in disappointment. We checked in ahead of time through the app and still waited an hour and a half. We were definitely skipped multiple times. Also, they must be understaffed because there were so many tables at multiple different times that could've been filled but there wasn't anyone to clean off the previous customers mess. So this is the closest Chili's to where we currently live in Kentucky and we are familiar with Chili's restaurants where we have previously lived in other States. We were expecting the same level of quality but unfortunately we didn't find it here. We drove 30 minutes to get ribs and they informed us that they did not have any ribs available. This was actually very frustrating as the ribs are usually the only thing I eat here. Ribs are their signature hook in advertising and they did not have any. I had to settle for something else and I was not very happy. I'm not a big fan of the rest of their menu items. It's the same as going to a steak restaurant and they say they're out of steaks. Our waitress did not seem very apologetic. Maybe they were just having an off day, but if we hadn't been on a time schedule, I would have left without ordering. read more

My friend who's a door dash driver went into this Chili's where his ex works to pick up an order with his new girlfriend. Not only was his ex being outright disrespectful, but her fellow employee joined along by calling my friend a "scumbag." My friend had said absolutely nothing to provoke either of these employees. We use to love chili's. Would go all the time. We hadn't been to this location in couple years and decided to come back. Was a very poor experience. Wasn't crowded and ate at 6 pm. Floor was filthy. Looked like hadn't been swept all day. Food took hr to come out despite not being crowed. Chips were half crumbs both times we got them. Food quality was much lower than past experiences. When we told the waitress that the salad my mom ordered was drenched in dressing and my mom only ate third of it she just said she would let the manager know. In addition the waitress while not rude was not friendly at all. While I like chili's I would absolutely recommend against this location! read more

We go to chilis often but have never left 100% satisfied. Typically we disregard the small things because the deals there are good. Unfortunately, our trip there on February 19th was very disappointing. Our server was kind and attentive but seemed extremely overworked(staff shortage I assume). She literally busted her butt for us the entire time and we are not the type to ask for anything. This time however my daughter(6yr old) ordered the kids chicken tenders as she has before. She took her first bite and chewed on it for a loooong time and we asked if she was okay. She mentioned that there was something hard in her chicken and we discovered a large bone. Unfortunate but it's normal with chicken. The worst part was that every single piece of chicken she had was full of gristle. Again, we're not picky but we tried a bite and literally couldn't chew through it. I've had bad chicken from restaurants but never completely inedible. Had it been my food, I wouldn't have thought anything about it but it could have easily chocked any kid. We didn't mention it because I didn't want to bother our server. I'm just hoping that this comment encourages more quality control especially on children's food whenever safety could be an issue. read more
